A & N Pizza

Ordered pizza for delivery. .9 miles away. Took over an hour for delivery. Drivers gps didnt work? Pizza was tasty but cold.

Over the years, I have come to really enjoy the great food delivered to me, usual in a prompt and courteous manner. Last night, however, may make me rethink ordering from then for a while.
It’s a little after 7pm on a Sunday ⁴⁄₂₄. I decided to only get a large cheese pizza. No toppings, no special instructions, heck not even a side dish or anything. You know what time I got it? After 9:00pm!
After the email promised the approximate time of 8:05pm I was heated. I work early during the week and think it’s rather ridiculous to wait 2 hours for a cheese pizza. It’s unacceptable.
At 8:24pm I called to check on the status of my order. «We just took it outta the oven and waiting for the delivery driver to come back» was told to me. Umm. I ordered the pizza at like 7:10 pm. It’s 8:30pm and you’re just NOW taking it out?! I wanted to say. Then he says I should get my order in 15 minutes.
Well it’s now almost 8:50 and I’m getting worried. They close in 10 minutes and I still have no pizza. I call yet again and I’m reassured I’ll have it in 5 minutes. Well, after 9 I finally get it — COLD. I won’t order from them for a while. $ 15 including tip for a large cheese pizza that took two hours and arrived cold. No thanks.

Where this staple of pizza, etc., delivery in West Roxbury once could be counted on to use real shaved steak in its steak and cheese subs, A&N Pizza’s owner threw away the notion of quality control this week when it switched from real meat to meat-​loaf product. Tasteless, overly-​salted, and lacking any semblance to the shaved steak subs they once served, this restaurant has sold its soul to the devil.

no lettuce, 3 small slices of tomato, ample bacon, but little mayo, and not put together very well… very disappointing.

Delicious chicken fingers and pizza. Made perfectly. Staff were super friendly. Food was ready in 15 minutes. Love this place!

Staff got my address wrong. 2 hours later I received my food cold btw. Driver apologized because the recipient had the wrong address on it. I then called back to see if I could get a warm sub like I asked for. And the owner promptly hung up on me. I called back and he made the driver pick up who said the owner would not talk to me.

My friends and I ordered about $ 60 worth of food during a Patriots game.
This was delivered and everything was hot and the 2 liter of soda was cold as well. We ordered a Large Sicilian, Greek Salad, Italian Calzone, Steak and Cheese Calzone and cheese fries. It wasn’t until about an hour had passed that we realized we were missing the fries. It had already been over an hour and i hate to call and complain.
I had left and got a text from my friend A&N came back with another order of cheese fries!!!
This was unexpected and definitely rare now a days! Even though I had left, my friends enjoyed the cheese fries. We will for sure order again!!!

I grew up in Medford where some of the best sub shops on earth existed and still do and I think I know good subs and high quality ingredients pretty well.
I’ve been to A&N on 3 separate occasions.
One word to describe A&N…
Revolting.
I made 3 disastrous trips to A&N, originally to get a steak and cheese. Pretty easy. Tough to screw up.
Ultra low quality dilge ingredients.
It should be called Tendons and cheese. It was like trying to eat chistmas lights only less rewarding and tasty.
Next trip (I had 5 minutes in area and gave it another shot, possible bad day)

Meatball. Tough to screw up. Most chewy, strange particle filled awful tasting dry spheres of torture I have ever tasted. Threw 75% of it away. I was starving too.
3^rd and final journey of doom.
Italian… I should have know a place with low grade dog food supplies would have miserable gas station tasting like cold cuts. I should have know…
Revolting.
I saw a few 5 star reviews… They are either from family and friends or Isis is giving reviews to try a new form of terrorism. Place is that bad.

a couple of months ago I ordered A&N via foodler online and then my friend picked up the food in the store. I paid online, my friend paid cash in the store. we paid twice accidentally by mistake. A&N manager went way above and beyond to fix this, and sent a delivery driver out to my house with cash to refund our money. our food was delicious (get the steak and cheese subs!!), and I really appreciated that kind of customer service. thank you A&N

Long time customer. Nice place. Very clean and quality food. Quick delivery service for those whose prefer home deliver.

Our first purchase was great. We ordered a cheese pizza, and a half pepperoni, half ham and pineapple pizza. Pizza was hot and tasted fresh. The delivery guy was super friendly despite the cold weather. I tipped extra. Went to order from them again today and my pizza was cold. It seems it was delivered without being carried in one of those insulated carriers. The cheese had become stiff and the pizza didn’t taste great. So I guess it is hit or miss. Great pizza on our first order, second pizza just didn’t seem like it was kept warm or delivered with care. Not appetizing.

I have had pizzas delivered from A & N a couple of times now. Their gourmet pizzas, like the Chicken Ranch (Cheese, Ranch Dressing, Chicken Cutlet, Bacon and Fresh Tomato), are pretty good. I didn’t care for their Sicilian pizza though.
I recently ordered a Buffalo Chicken calzone, it was okay but not worth paying the $ 20 dollars and change it costs ($ 15.75 + delivery charge + tax + tip).
For all my orders, the delivery has been prompt thus far.
I will continue to order gourmet pizzas from A & N.

This place is great. The restaurant is extremely clean and the food/​price is great. The employees are nice. They have free WiFi, which is a plus.

Never been to the location but always had prompt delivery. Buttery — crusted pizza which is very tasty. We usually order it with bacon and jalapeños on top… so good. I probably wouldn’t get their subs again because they are a little too fatty. Our tuna sub was filed with top much mayo

A&N is my go to for delivery. I grew up in West Roxbury and we’ve had every pizza place in the area but I prefer A&N. The pizza is Greek style. Yummy. Their white pizzas are really good as well. I love their subs. They make them just as you order — just be specific and it’ll turn out exactly how you like it. Paul is quick on the grill and their salads are always fresh. I haven’t tried the gyros myself but my brother orders them all the time and doesn’t complain. Their baklava is sooo good.
The desk staff are wicked friendly and will call you by your name if they recognize you. Most of them have been there for a long time and know what they’re doing! The owner is the nicest person ever.
The only complaint about the staff that I’ve ever had is that they go through delivery drivers quite often and they aren’t always quick.
Their online ordering is easy and they offer coupon codes as well.
They get really busy on weekend nights so expect to wait a little longer like everywhere else.
The location itself is really small. Four tables and a small counter with three or four bar stools. Sometimes theres a bunch of high school kids after school. I personally don’t eat my food in store but they’re clean and they don’t get too crowded.

This is what a friend of mine calls the «Greek» style of pizza crust. The pizza, onion rings, chicken wings, etc. are consistently good. I also like the fact that you can place take-​out orders directly on A&N’s website.

Apparently Unilocal is in the business of removing negative reviews from pages. Fine, you don’t want to recommend my review? I’ll keep writing them. The delivery was the worst I have ever experienced. I was told it would be 40 minutes so naturally after an hour and 10 minutes I called. The driver said he was here, so I went out, but no one was there. When I called back he said «oh wait, I know where I’m going now. I’ll be there in two minutes.» He then proceeded to tell me that he was here, again, but was not, four times.
I had spoken to a woman at the restaurant who told me I would receive a discount when I asked due to the inconvenience. When the delivery driver finally arrived, 1 hour and 45 minutes after I ordered, he told me that he was the owner and that I would get no discount. His exact words were «You want your food? Then pay.» I refused and he ended up giving me some money off, but getting this food for free would STILL have been a rip off.
The food was cold and soggy and tasteless. I was repulsed. Basically, this delivery service is the cause of global warming. That’s how bad it is. I wouldn’t wish A&N Pizza on even the most evil person in the world. This place should be burned to the ground. Maybe then the food would be hot and taste a little better.

Good Food, Good Service, and Good Price… what else do you need in a local pizza place?!

They’d get 5+ if their delivery wasn’t so spotty.
Great food. Fresh. And online ordering? Slam dunk. I get these guys to send me yummy pizza once a week. Sometimes however, it’s just not hot anymore.
