We went in to Forza coffee shop just to try this place and they told us Sweet Encounters is no longer there and hasn’t been for a couple months. So disappointed, I really wanted to try this place!

I ordered a Pumpkin Cheesecake from Sweet Encounters for my Grandma for Thanksgiving because of her gluten allergy. I must say I was skeptical at first seeing as it’s sugar free and gluten free (and let’s face it if you’ve had gluten free desserts you know it can be bad). I was amazed at the sweetness, creamy texture and above all the taste that this dessert had to offer! In the words of my grandma «This is just lovely!» And it was just that! I would surely recommend this to any of my friends! Thanks Sweet Encounters!

I just ordered a Chocolate Cherry Bing Cake from Sweet Encounters for my birthday. With quite a few food allergies I have to be very selective with what I eat, desserts in particular. This was the first birthday cake I have had since I was little girl and my mother baked one for me! Gluten free, dairy free and naturally sweetened. I was really impressed with the presentation of the cake. I have had trouble in the past with natural cakes keeping their shape. This cake displayed beautifully no matter how thin or thick you cut it with 4 beautiful layers still in tack on the plate. The frosting was a light chocolate/​cherry blend that wasn’t overly sweet and the cake was super moist!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these pumpkin pie cheesecakes, but all of your flavors are DIVINE. I can literally eat a slice of these little cakes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and every snack in between. I love the perfectly sweet and flavorful creamy texture paired against the nutty, crunchy crust. The combination of the two compliment each other perfectly. So very good, and the best part is that I KNOW that in addition to being absolutely delicious, they good for me nutritionally. All I can say is — AWESOME! :-)

I tend to be picky so finding out I was lactose intolerant sucked! I felt so deprived until I found Sweet Encounters! They have dairy free ice cream, cheesecakes, gluten and sugar free cakes (which the frosting is to is to die for!), even healthy To-​Go lunches! It’s everything I have been looking for! It truely is a Sweet Encounter!

So I am a sweet-​feak, carnivorous, gluten-​loving man whose general eating style tends to trend to the unhealthier the better and I ordinarily despise vegan/​raw/​gluten-​free «healthy» food. This stuff though… This stuff is amazing. I must admit, I was at first hesitant to order the cheesecake upon realizing it was, like, that healthy stuff. But, one bite and I was in it to win it. I am getting a whole cheesecake for Thanksgiving now. Really awesome stuff.

This food is unbelievable! I’ve been vegan for 12 years, and I’ve tried everything on the spectrum for vegan/​raw/​gluten free foods from really terrible to really amazing — this is by far on the highest end of the spectrum. We don’t have many great raw/​vegan/​gluten free options out there for desserts, so I’m glad Sweet Encounters is around!

As a New York Raw and Vegan foodie (with a gluten allergy), I have access to the best of the best cuisine and desserts this city has to offer. But one thing this scene is missing is SWEET ENCOUNTERS. Its’ creator Chaz makes the most divine raw cheesecake I’ve ever tasted! You just can’t find desserts like that here. As the saying goes, «If you build it, they will come.» ~Until I can find Sweet Encounters here in NY, I will follow the product wherever it goes!

I didn’t believe it at first, but it’s true. You really can enjoy all of your favorite desserts with out all of the extra downfalls of misbehaving or cutting corners on a healthy life style. I have sampled every delicious choice Sweet Encounters has to offer and walked away every time feeling great about my desicion to indulge. I love this idea! :)

I wandered into this little café and discovered some amazing desserts. I had Sweet Encounter’s raspberry chocolate chunk ice cream, wow! I typically don’t eat ice cream since I am lactose intolerant. I had this with a cup of coffee and felt like I was in heaven. I’m definitely going back and trying some more of their flavors.

I’ve had almost all of the goodies from Sweet Encounters and they are divine! I have a sweet tooth and find that these gluten free, sugar free treats are perfect for maintaining a healthy lifestyle while giving into a bit of temptation.
