They were great and super easy to work with. The meal was awesome and left us with nothing to think about. I would definitely hire them again.

My husband and I had our Wedding catered by BC&C about a month ago and I can’t imagine it turning out any better than it did. We were dealing with them for about a year before our wedding and there is not pen bad thing that stands out in that whole year. Our guests cannot stop taking about the service and especially the food! Our wedding would not have been half as good if it were not for Ashley and Savior! If anyone is reading this and is planning to book this caterer PLEASE ask to work with this wonder-​duo! They both went above and beyond their duties to make sure our day was not only special to us but to all of our guests also. I would not even think about it twice to work with them again!

My wife and I had BC&C cater our wedding earlier this month and we could not have been more pleased.
Our wedding was at The Lyman Estate in Waltham and so our search initially began with the list of 10 – 12 caterers that the estate allows. During our evaluation of possible caterers, we quickly whittled our list down to two vendors that stood head and shoulders above the others. The ultimate deciding factor to go with BC&C was based on how comfortable my fiancée (now wife) felt with our coordinator, Marieke Drillio. Boy are we happy with the result. Marieke was fantastic through our entire planning process, despite all the crazy curveballs and requests we kept throwing at her and her team. She made sure to meet with us (as well as with our florist, photographer, etc.) at the venue a couple of weeks before the event to iron out every last detail. (She was also onsite to supervise the set-​up on our day).
The event itself went perfectly with the BC&C staff preparing food that people are still talking about. We also received a ton of compliments on how attentive the staff was during the reception.
We highly recommend Boston Café and Catering.

After attending a bridal show near the beginning of my engagement, I received a voicemail from Bianca at Boston Café and Catering saying that I had won a free stationary display valued at $ 150. When I called back to claim the prize, I was told that I needed to speak to Bianca directly. She was unavailable. I left a message for her to call me back. When she did not return my call after a few days, I tried again. Again she was unavailable. This time I asked if I could have her email address. After I emailed her, she wrote me back the next day saying she had been bogged down in meetings and could she call me tomorrow. I replied that I would be expecting her call the next day. She never called. SIX days later, she wrote me back saying she had been «out sick and in many meetings over the last few days» and asked when a good time to touch base that week would be. I responded with good times to call and also suggested that discussing it via email would be fine with me since that seemed to work better for her. I never heard from her again, and at that point I just cut my losses and gave up. I understand that I was only trying to redeem a door prize and not a paying customer. However, I was planning a wedding, and one would think they would want to treat me well to persuade me to become a paying customer. Maybe it was just this particular woman who had terrible client relations, and she may or may not work there anymore, but I when I explained to another lady that Bianca wasn’t returning my calls, I was told that here was no one else who could help me. I would not recommend this company, and if I am ever looking for a catering company in the future, I would not consider them.

I was shocked to read what someone (who obviously doesn’t know David) wrote.
I have had the pleasure of working for Boston Café and Catering and David Briggs for over 10 years in the Sales Department. Over the years, David has always been very compassionate and understanding when it comes to my family and personal matters.
I have used David’s name as a personal and professional reference on countless matters and he has always been gracious to help.
Outside of the office, David has included me in a number of his family gatherings, as well as office summer and holiday parties. At no time did I feel uncomfortable in his company.
I have been very successful in my position over the years thru David’s knowledge, patience and professionalism. He has always made feel part of his organization and can without hesitation consider him a true friend.

We used BCC for our wedding. We had to deal with a lot of staff turnover during the planning process, but in the end they performed wonderfully at our reception.
BCC really gets my recommendation for the value they provide though. It seemed that every other caterer we looked at wanted to re-​create a 5 star dining experience and charge handsomely for it. That’s fine for those that don’t want to spare any expense on their wedding, but not what we were looking for. BCC provides excellent, but not over the top, food and service at a competitive price. This is something that’s surprisingly lacking in the local catering market. I hope they work out their staff turnover issues, cause they can be a really great resource to those on a budget.

BCC catered our office lunch, and while they did show up on time (barely), the food was awful. I couldn’t even finish mine. 1 star for food.

Don’t use BCC for your wedding, use them for a corporate event which seems to be their specialty. We fell in love with our first coordinator Tova which is why we went with them, but I wish I had gone with Off the Vine catering in hindsight (check them out!). BCC lost the first coordinator (Tova), then the second (Andree), then they tried to put us with a 3^rd event coordinator (Christine) and we were so pissed with all the changes that they paired us with Sarah who has been with the company forever. Sarah was great to work with for the last couple months of our planning, but in the end, it just felt disorganized, she didn’t do a walk through with us so I had no idea how everything would look, and she increased all the quantities of food a week before the wedding, said «enjoy your weekend, let’s chat about this next week» and then when we chatted said we couldn’t change them because we were a week out from the wedding and we were stuck with the cost because it was in our contract which was signed a year and half prior (and I was not reminded of this line item) — regardless of the contract, the quantities hadn’t been changed ALL YEAR, they had already been set and agreed upon with the previous coordinator, and all of a sudden, in the very very last edit, they up everything. I felt totally dooped. Bad profit BCC.
On the day of, NO ONE took care of us during the cocktail hour when we were told we would get our own attendant. We had to get all our own drinks (even during the reception when we did have an attendant), I had one waiter come up to me with an app. I never saw any waiters walking around with apps, my guests all said they only saw 2 or 3 of them and we had 6! Where were they?! Thankfully, one of my bridesmaids went right up to the chef and insisted that they make us a plate of the apps since we didn’t get any of them. I liked all of them, except the caprese brusechetta which was just a tiny piece of bread with nothing on it and lobster roll which of course was the most expensive. They said they’d use a half of a slider roll, hollow it out, lay a piece of lettuce, then the lobster — NOPE — it was a full slider roll and a small blob of what looked like lobster salad and it was SUPER oniony. Not what we were told it was going to be like, just looked cheap. They also didn’t put out knives for the carving station, told my now husband that «we ran out of them» (what?!), then a bmaid went up and they finally pulled them out from under the table… at that point everyone had already had their meat and no knives. They also said they’d box up the leftovers and leave them in the venue’s fridge which didn’t happen. They didn’t refrigerate the top tier of my cake, didn’t tell me, and when we went back two days later to pick up the leftover stuff (which wasn’t there), the cake was sitting out on the counter. Thanks BCC — we actually laughed when we saw it on the counter because we weren’t surprised by that point. I also could never find our event coordinator EVER throughout the night. It was hot in the tent and I had to ask a waiter to find her and ask her to take care of getting the sides open to the tent. I also never heard from her about our order of events. I was told they would keep me organized through the night about what time it was and when things needed to happen — nope, never. It was 8:30 and I had no idea what time it was and we still hadn’t done our father/​daughter dance. I had to have my dad talk to the DJ about getting these things done because she was no where to be found. These are little things, but after the year and a half of not feeling confident with their service, switching coordinators, feeling cheated, and the fact that I was worrying about the catering on the day of… they just proved me right and I felt so icky about how they increased all the quantities right at the end and wouldn’t let me change it.
I would not recommend Boston Café and Catering for your wedding. Did they even follow up to see how everything went? Nope, obviously just didn’t care. I felt so much stress the whole time I was planning with them and even on my wedding day, my now husband turned to me as we walked into the cocktail hour and said «I hope they don’t mess this up». None of us were confident and I wouldn’t want any other bride to have to go through the same issues I did.

My office hired Boston Café & Catering now for the past two years for our office holiday event.
The food is just eh.
Nothing special. Was overcooked, dried out, and very unmemorable.
It it was my choice, we would not use them again.
On a plus note, they showed up on time, were friendly, explained everything, and were accommodating.
2 stars for the food, 3 for the service.

My fiancé and I worked with Andree at Boston Café and Catering. She was by far the most prompt and helpful of all the caterers we interviewed. While we ultimately went with a different company, I had an amazing experience working with Andree.
She even went so far as to go to our venue to find out more information so that she could provide an accurate quote. She was very prompt, the quote was extremely reasonable, and my fiancé really enjoyed the food. I’d really recommend that couples reach out to her for a quote if you’re planning your wedding.

I recently attended an event that was handled by pleasant servers generously wielding trays of tasty fingerfoods. (I highly recommend the beef wellington!) The planning was well done, as I was frequently being offered something to eat. At the hot station, the roast beef was tender and tasty, but the turkey breast a tad dry. Replenishment of the platters and bowls were often, so it seemed the food was never-​ending.
I asked one of the servers who they worked for, and that is what led to this brief but pleased review.

Tasted their new marscapone cheesecake on toasted slices of olive oiled bread. Yum! The bread could do with about half the oil, but still…

This catering company is horrible! Not only do they go through sales staff every two months, I had to deal with 3 sales people planning my event. I could not back out, because I put down a deposit with the first. The food and service were deplorible! The appetizers were frozen and heated. Our entrees were not cooked on site and were unedible. If you are even thinking about planning an event with them walk away fast!

Such a great caterer! I’ve planned the same event with them 2 years in a row now, and both times everyone there has been amazing, nice, and so helpful. The food is great, their staff is polite and friendly, and they just make everything effortless.
Best of all, they are very understanding of the fact that events have to be planned on smaller and smaller budgets these days. Last year, after the event was over, people were talking for days about how great and classy it was — they couldn’t believe I pulled it all off on the small budget I was given. It’s great when a caterer can give you an event that people are still gushing over even a year later.

I really can’t comment as far as their dishes and sandwiches, etc. BUT, we had a box of goodies delivered to work– a variety of different types of brownies and cookies– and they were soooo good!

I worked recently with Cyndee at Boston Café and Catering. I found her to be not only pleasant to work with but extremely willing to work with me in order to get a menu that worked for me in my price range. I was in contact with her for wedding catering but can imagine that she is equally as valuable for any type event. The prices are reasonable, the personal attention is remarkable… I highly recommend them for your catering needs!

One of their sales reps came in last week to do a pitch (along with food for tasting — always a good ploy to get in the door!!). Good variety of sandwiches, bread was fresh (another good selling point), salads crisp and fresh. Also brought 2 hot entrees (sirloin tips — so tender melted in your mouth) and a TDF chicken brocolli and ziti). We were impressed and used them to cater our Monday office lunch. Another stellar repeat performance. Everything was delicious, and tender (sirloin tips), and good array of sandwiches. While i’m only the 2^nd to review (and the first reviewer 2 yrs ago was a 1 star), I recommend this place for your office catering needs. Also might add, their delivery arrived ½ hr early!!! which is unique for food deliveries to the Back Bay
