staff is really friendly and the rooms are very clean i jad to switch credit cards from when i booked and they were able to switch it for me which actually made my day because i dont have a pin for my cc for cash advances and needed cash for the event i was going to. They have juices, a pancake maker, yogurt, cereal, pastries, bagels for breakfast… they were so nice they brought ice to our room!!! it was great because earlier we went the wrong way and i think we tried to open the maintenance door dont go to 101 we were in 110 haha it was funny to me i was having a day! for 124 with tax included comfy bed… i will be back also another tip it is about a 7 minute ride to dcu center if you are staying for a show or event we took an über 10 $ and there is a liquor store very close by actually right near the mcdonalds!

Yuck. Slimy breakfast, outdated hotel rooms and filthy box springs. Staff were friendly but I can’t imagine they’re proud of where they work. The two double beds in the room were on a frame that was a king split in half, with these shin busting metal rods sticking out 6″, we slammed into them constantly.
They didn’t tell us that the construction out on the main road was going to interrupt the water. Woke up the day we were leaving and went to take a shower — the water was literally black.

Come for a rest. Stay for the blood, mold, hair, dust and constructions debris; oh, and don’t forget the feces-​laden bathroom light switch and the very reliable popcorn-​painted-​over smoke alarms!
Here’s what I submitted to Choice Hotel’s customer service as well as their executive leadership (with no response to date).
«It wasn’t until morning when the true rubbish of the room was apparent, as seen in the attached photos. The room was dangerously dirty — especially the climate system/​air blower that is struggling to fill the room with mold and dust. It is nearly impossible to think that unit has ever been properly cleaned or even dusted off.
There was drywall and paint debris all over the floor along with years of dust (clearly seen directly under the mattress). What appears to have been a smoke alarm was sprayed completely over with ceiling „popcorn“. The light switch in the bathroom was horribly stained and appeared to have visible fecal matter on it. The corners of the room were filled with cobwebs. The refrigerator was smashed and dented as was the furniture it sat in; and it smelled of mold inside.
Best of all, the TV had some type of symbol literally carved into the screen and the clothing drawer had long hair and what appeared to be blood stains inside it! Possible blood splatter/​droplets can be seen on the wall all around a mirror as well.»
I wish I was making this up but you can clearly see all of the above mentioned and more in the disgusting photos I sent to Choice Hotels.
Even in an emergency you are better off to sleep in your car than stop at this deceivingly «choice hotel». It is filled with dangerous issues and health concerns.

If you are looking for all the bells and whistles, this is not the place for you! If you are looking for a clean and comfortable place to rest your head for a night, you found the right place.

The bed was really comfortable. More so than other places I’ve stayed. The room was neat and clean. The staff was enthusiastic and friendly. In the end those are really the most important things. But everything else was hugely disappointing. Terrible free breakfast (powdered eggs? Really?) exterior doors that didn’t have working card readers, they did took out the dirty towels but didn’t clean the room or leave new towels. The internet was slow (one meg when it worked which it often didn’t) Overall there’s a real feeling of run down and old here. And cheap too These things all added to the feeling of «I don’t want to be here». They would need to fix the things that are broken for me to want to come back. If gladly pay a little more and somewhere where everything isn’t broken and run down

wonderful staff, free breakfast. room smelled weird, AC didn’t work very well but the room was fine and the pool was clean.

Sketchy neighborhood. Reserved 2 queen beds, got 2 doubles. Management says the queen beds are being «phased out». Walls are paper-​thin, DO NOT take the room next to the stairway. Wouldn’t go back here if I was being taken hostage.

They have two hotels at this location. I can’t rate the hotel but I stayed in a suite that is behind the hotel and it was disgusting! It is named The Surburban Extended Stay Hotel. The minute you walk into the lobby it just looks dirty and it is. It is a non smoking hotel which is good until you get to your room and it smells like a old smokey stale bar room. My wife loved the cockroach that she found in the bathroom in the morning too! Your better off sleeping in your car!

Kind of yucky. Don’t stay here unless you really really have to…

Anyone complaining about this place is probably some wuss from Manhattan that has maids and butlers waiting on them hand and foot on a daily basis. I never take those reviews seriously and am always someone who needs to see something himself to believe it. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The staff was very nice, the breakfast was great, and I found everything to be convenient. I had a very nice three night stay and slept great. I’d recommend to any and everyone

the staff was nice, easy parking and free wifi. the breakfast was adequate. The bed was comfy and everything was clean. I don’t understand why the hallways smell of rotten food and cooking smells. It was a good experience other than that.
