I’m not sure why but I tend to find it strange that there is a Cocolat in the Adelaide Airport. That being said, I am definitely not complaining. My goodness everything there is delicious. A few months ago I was with my brother and his girlfriend waiting to say goodbye to them as they were leaving to go to America for a few months. We were there really early in the morning, and we were sitting outside Cocolat and all I could think of was when it was going to open. I wasn’t even concerned about my brother, I just wanted some food and a hot chocolate! I anxiously waited for the doors to open and made a quick run in-store. They probably thought I was mental, or drunk, either one would have worked. The service is quick and efficient, and all the staff members are lovely. This store is definitely the place to go when you’re at the airport. Don’t let it slip by you.

Possibly two of my favourite things in the world, chocolate and airports. For those familiar with the city Cocolat, this one remains pretty on par. Personally I find it a little more cosy, and as mentioned I love, love the fact that it is located in an airport. If I could, I would come to the airport solely to have my hot chocolate here, but that would be pushing the barriers a little… The quality of the chocolate, content and overall experience here is high. Nice when seeking something a little more left stream than your conventional favourites(and few alternatives) such as Cibo and Hudsons.

Cocolat in Adelaide Airport is one of the nicest coffee shops in the new complex. It is the first port of call for early morning flyers and it appears to be the first port of call for all of the Airport staff — often seeing Customs, Quarantine, Federal Police, Flight attendants and Pilots lining up for coffee. The Mocha is my favourite, they use melted chocolate and I always add a shot of peppermint — deliciously bad for you. Unless of course you get skim milk. They have gorgeous little cakes, chocolate gifts, really unique christmas chocolates and I always choose their sweet tasty, flaky ham and cheese croissant over HJ’s. I always leave my family and loved ones from this point, so there is always an emotional moment, but it is a great place to feel that way.

Bunch of time to kill while you’re waiting for your flight? I enthusiastically suggest Cocolat as your next stop! Yes I spend a lot of time in airports, but one of my favourite airports to spend time in is definitely Adelaide: mostly for the FREEWI-FI but also for the TRUFFLESANDHOTCHOCOLATES. OHYES. Cocolat is renowned in Radelaide for the quality and deliciousness of its chocolate related products, and it’s well-deserved! if you’re realllllly feeling the sweet tooth vibes, I can also suggest their chocolate waffles: but be careful this is a crapload of sugar right here. You don’t want to be *too* hyper on the plane right? Cocolat stays open a bit longer than some of the other businesses in the airport: 10pm closing time.
