Great lunch option in Subiaco! Very well priced and fresh yummy foods! It’s super busy so there is a high turn over of food. They make up fresh laksas, amazing rice paper rolls, and great salads!

Had the tomato and bacon quiche for $ 9.7 — warm and satisfying. Also tried the chicken laksa lemak for $ 13. Rich broth with a slightly sweet taste. Suitabe for those who can tolerate mild spicy heat. The pork chops and rice with fried egg is a good working lunch for those who need the energy for $ 13. Can get busy so try to get a seat or takeaway. Also good for sandwiches, rolls and coffee. Table service but order at the counter.

The best kept secret in Subiaco. As a regular for years my favourites include the bun bo xao(I could eat this lemongrass beef with rice noodles and pickled veges everyday), blue monkey smoothie or a simple chicken, salad and pesto sandwich. It gets really busy with pre-work coffee and lunchtime rushes but the staff are friendly and efficient.

The Red Chair is an owner run café inside the Crossways Shopping centre on Bagot rd in Subiaco. We stopped in for a quick visit before work to grab some takeaway coffees. I was surprised and impressed at the range of food available from premade lunch food in the cabinet to a selection of cakes to Asian noodle and rice dishes. I do plan on returning as The Red Chair also offer a breakfast menu. The coffee was great and I also tried a mango and passion fruit cheescake which was yummy. I believe everything is cooked on the premises.

Probably the best value café in Subiaco! Delicious fresh food, fast service, and great prices. The place is a little dingy as it’s in the middle of an outdated shopping complex, but the actual café is well kept and clean. From breakfast to chicken curries, they also offer deli style food and Fiori coffee(roasted to perfection!). Secretly, I love the pancakes and milkshake combo but please don’t tell my personal trainer…
