The Artisan Bake Shoppe

I love this place — best café if you’ve got kids under 4. There is a play area at the back that my son loves. The food is good, scones are delicious and sandwiches are yummy and very fresh. The coffee is ok (drinkable — better than any franchise stuff). The staff are friendly too.

I absolutely love this bakery. It is so versatile and is very family friendly. The products they have are yummy and excellent. All used with organic local flour their breads are all yeast/​wheat free. Almost all of their desserts are vegan, wheat free, or made without dairy, etc. For all the mommas out there, this is a great new place to meet. Bring your kids because there is a kids play area with books, a play kitchen, and other toys in baskets. Did I mention they also serve sandwiches, soups, and paninis? Regular coffee, americanos, lattés…do I need to say more? If you are overwhelmed by all these choices, I recommend getting a cake or a cookie (the chocolate chunks are killer!) and a coffee or tea. You’ll get brownie points if you speak German to the ladies working there. Oh ya, pretzels.
