Hyatt’s Gingerbread Lane 2014

The best free tradition in the city during the holiday season… viewing of gingerbread houses at the Hyatt hotel. An assortment of creations by amateur, professional, secondary and elementary schools and teams. The minute you walk in, before viewing the amazing creations, you’re greeted by the aroma of ginger and sugar. The professional entry from Richmond’s Yummy Workshop that looked like a 70’s disco light was my personal favorite. There were a few houses that I got lost in and stared for minutes at a time. It was like being in another world inside another world. I even saw a black Nightmare Before Christmas themed display.
