I came here to grab to-go because it was close by and I needed it to be quick. Ordered: cheesy cheeseburger, 5 piece nuggets and a spicy chicken burger combo. I paid for my order and had to wait, which is fine. It took a total of almost 20 minutes to get my take out order. They ran out of nuggets and had to make a new batch. Ok, fine. The girl who takes my order completely forgets about it so I had to ask her about it five minutes later and she goes to check on my order. It’s not ready. Ok, so I wait. I ask again in five minutes and they were again, out of nuggets so I have to wait for my nuggets. So I’m waiting again. She finally gets me my order but it’s wrong. I ordered a spicy chicken burger combo and the there was no spicy chicken in the bag. So I have to wait again for them to make it. When she passes the chicken burger to me I tell her«I didn’t get my drink» and she replies«I thought I gave it to you.» «No, you didn’t». Almost 20 minutes later I finally get my order and by now the fries and cheeseburger were cold. This location definitely needs to re-train their staff so they can be more efficient.

I got meal number 1. The cheese burger! It was quite juicy and delicious. Probably because I haven’t had Wendy’s in ages. The fries were freshly made. Awesome fries as well. Only issue I had was with pumping the ketchup out of the container. That was some arm work out! The place is quite clean. It is somewhat empty at 5:30ish. It is located in a very convenient location. Near a skytrain station, 99 bus station and number to downtown bus. There are plenty of parking at the back as well. I like this Wendy’s and I will definitely be coming back

Good food poisoning here. The produce is not at all fresh, and the meat is questionable.

The service was okay. The only issue with the service was that I didn’t get a receipt. The main reason this restaurant got a bad rating for me is the physical queue can be lead to confusion and conflict as it’s a parallel queue and other customers could be served ahead of others or wait longer than others. Other times I’ve seen everyone line up in one side and 1 person line up in the other. I normally try to avoid this location because of it. Have one lineup not two!

I came here once a month ’cause I do love their burgers and it is a childhood thing more than anything. I love having their baked potato with chili and cheese on top of it(secret menu thing). My mom used to get this all the time. It’s not part of their regular menu but it is what we call«The Secret Menu.» If you have someone working there that is old school they will remember this otherwise the young workers will look at your confused, therefore, you have to explain it to them. Another secret menu item that I get here is called the Pingu Potato which is a frosty that you dip your fries into. Not a new thing as people have been dipping their fries in a frosty, however, there is an official secret menu name for this. This location seems to have their A game on when it comes to many of the secret menu items. Service is fast and the customer service is awesome.

Why do they close at midnight for dine-in customers yet keep the drive through open til like 4am? Makes no sense and is frustrating if you want to eat here as a walk in customer after midnight. After midnight inside is a clusterf%@$ with customers entering and wanting to order at the counter but staff send them away saying the dine-in is closed. Why don’t they lock the doors at 12?!?

Just wasted $ 15 extra on a taxi detour, ordered our food, and waited only to be told when they tried to ring through my card turns out their system went down right as they tried to swipe my card and asked for cash which I didn’t have. Would have been totally fine if they did what we used to do at McDonald’s when I worked there: ask the customer for cash, if they didn’t have we would comp and put up a sign for the following customers and warn them before they ordered. Instead they basically tell me too bad. This is a Wendy’s right by my work, funny enough, which WAS super convenient that I’ve eaten at multiple times but I will not be back. There’s a McDonald’s only a block away, when I have a craving for a burger they get my money now, not you. That’s not how you treat customers when it’s YOUR fault, not mine, and McDonald’s and many other fast food places will take a couple orders comped out of service. Not to mention the food was RIGHTTHERE, you’ve wasted it and lost a customer.

The food isn’t bad here at all the times I’ve come, but I had to take 2 stars off just for the washroom I had gone to located downstairs. I was flat out grossed and it made me squeamish. Normally I could handle public washrooms no matter where it is including other fast food places but this one took the cake. The fries here are good and I love dipping it into the frosty. 2.5÷5

I went to a drive thru Wendy’s. I ordered two cheese burgers, one frosty, one small chilli, one chicken nuggets(4 pieces) with chipotle dipping sauce. So I got my order and when I got home there was only ONE burger, one frosty, one small chilli, and the chipotle dipping sauce? WTF??? I am not impressed. The staff should be fired. I am never ordering food at a drive thru ever again!!! Thumbs way down and I will tell many friends to never go there. Totally crappy!!!

This place used to make good food. But in the last 2 or 3 years, the quality is terrible. I went here tonight after avoiding it for a very long time, over a year. And it’s just as bad as I remember. Soggy burgers, very old stale fries, and staff who really are not very bright. Why would you take the heavy burger and shove it into the bag on top of the fries? And, don’t worry, I didn’t want any ketchup, thanks. Will not go again.

HAVEAGAIN; bacon burger is very good, as is the frosty. But, best of all is this is a special place for people I love dearly.

Usually eat in but drive thru this time, and my experience wasn’t too happy. The drive thru exp is so so need to repeat twice to get the order. And the driving ramp up to the window is extremely dangerous I can see a lot of ppl hit their bumpers on the way up to make the turn. The worse come later. When we arrived home and open the burger, the bread was totally burn dark on one side… Well still delicious the rest of it. Just have to throw that piece away sadly. The«chef» should have check before packing it.

For fast food places… you usually get the same old same old. McD’s and the questionable stuff inside… I always end up feeling a huge ball in the pit of my stomach afterwards… but Wendy’s just does something different. The lettuce seems fresher, the tomatoes better, bacon more bacony… It’d always be my go-to for a fast food experience if I had to do fast food(I generally prefer not to). This trip to Wendy’s had me try their new pretzel bun bacon cheeseburger. The bun was pretty good… not a sweet type bun that most places go with. I’m not looking for extra sugar with my starches… there’s enough there already. The mix of stuff inside was good too. Overall, not a bad little burger… BUT… the wife had a plain Dave’s Big N’ Juicy with cheese… that looked just as good, but was significantly cheaper. Was the pretzel burger worth that premium? No… I wouldn’t order it again at that price. The real winner of our lunch… the chili cheese fries! We could have just ordered a few of those up and ate those and been even happier than with the burgers! :D Location wise… this one has tons of seating, a smallish ordering area that can get packed up on busy days(wasn’t this day… smooth sailing), but overall is pretty decent. Would go back.

Extra star for nostaglic reasons, been here for decades & still fighting for its survival against those greedy developers lol. Not just a great pit stop to use the washrooms, albeit a bit of a trek downstairs, but a great drive thru, prob. the only one in this area. Pretty tight parking lot, but it’s free. What better than to grab a chocolate Frosty here late at night without getting out of your car?

It’s been a staple of the Cambie and Broadway area for a long time. The place has even been struck by lightning once! One of the biggest Wendy’s you probably will ever be in, I wonder if they own the building, it also has one of the wierdest drive through routes that I have seen, as it doesn’t really wrap around the building, but just goes through the parking lot, and up and down a ramp in front of one of the main doors that people constantly walk past. Whoever designed this fast food chain definitely kept things compact in the parking lot. I could have sworn that this place had a renovation, but when you go in, you are brought back to an era when fast food was dominant, this place looks like an old Wendy’s, the only thing that makes this place even seem like it fits in this era is that they have a flat screen tv. This is a two level building, and all the main things, like dining room area, ordering area happen upstairs… the washrooms are downstairs. all old beige and brown tiled, definitely needs some renovation work down here. The food is Wendy’s after all, which isn’t bad, I usually come in for the chili, just make sure if you drive though, to come in here, I came here once, realized I needed some money and came back and noticed there was a ticket on my car. Diamond parking watches this lot, and those ^&%&% have someone sleep in a car and spy till you go off the lot to ticket you, they are the worst, I had to dispute this one and just to be aware of these slimeballs in the parking lot, you may not see them, they are there like snakes in the grass! The oldest looking Wendy’s you may ever step into… this would be on the list!

Words uttered in the queue to order from the drive thru window: «I can’t believe I’m checking into a Wendy’s on Unilocal. And sharing it with my friends. Yup, I just did that. Please, no judgement.» It was late at night, which has no bearing, actually. I haven’t had fast food of this«caliber» for years, and years, and a couple more years. I’m still perplexed what led us here. And more perplexed about how much food we got for under $ 10. Things more useful than my own drive thru ramblings: Order from the $ 1.39 menu. It’s crazy what you can get. My meal consisted of chicken nuggets and fries. Gourmet. Also, either A) Bring your own ketchup or B) Check your greasy paper bag before you leave the parking lot. There’s a good chance that asking for ketchup will result in you receiving sweet and sour sauce. The drive thru speaker here just can’t be trusted.

Came here for some munchies. Parking is available on the side streets. I thought there would be parking underneath the building, but this is not the case. Not that I could see at least. I thought the place would be dead inside, but there was a slow and steady trickle of customers. With that said, there was never more than 1 person in line. Wendy’s now has 8 items for $ 1.89. I had the BLT spicy chicken wrap. It looked nothing like the picture on the wall. In fact, it made my friends and I sad. We were ready to cry. Fortunately, as I peeled back the wrapper, the wrap also unwrapped, revealing a single shiny strip of bacon on top of the other fillings. If this isn’t redemption, I don’t know what is. This wrap is actually surprisingly good. The chicken piece is big(hence the poor wrapping job), and moist. The cheese and vegetables tasted somewhat fresh, and of course, that bacon bacon bacon. I will be having nightmares about being forced to choose between this BLT wrap and a McDouble or Junior Chicken from McDs.

Rare greasy lunch — stopped hereNice burger, salt(powder?) fries and the apple juice was off. I always like Wendy’s but was not so sure this time. I asked for the burger no mayo no onion and got it but asked to use the upstairs loo… not open for public — though it had symbol for male/female/wheelchair — staff said wheelchair only — semed they had a gripe with public…

I am sooo mad at Wendy’s and I am here to tell you why… I was going to see a movie with my partner and a friend this weekend… we were running a little behind and needed a quick bite to eat before we went… we though that Wendy’s drive through would make sense as it was on the way to the theater. which was the 5th Ave Cinemas. that way we could just eat on the fly and get to the show on time… so we thought… we were wrong. We pulled up and were the only ones in line.yay.we ordered.1 burger with fries… and 2 other burgers… we pull up.paid.got our food and started to drive away. we get a block down the street and realize we are missing a burger and gained an extra fries… at first we didn’t care all that much until it dawned on us we paid for a $ 4 burger we didn’t get. and being cheap I wanted what I paid for… we headed back and there was a big line up at the dive through. we thought it would be faster to just run in… but again we were wrong with making an assumption… it took like 10 mins. they didn’t even apologize or give us a deal… but we were just happy to be on our way… Unfortunately the damage was done… out time frame was tight and Wendy’s screwed it up. the show was sold out… grrrrrrrrr… I think they need to work on some efficiency at the drive through… and perhaps at least pretend to be sorry when they inconvenience someone.

Over the summer this Wendy’s was closed due to renovations. I had never been into it before, so I can’t comment on the change as much as I can comment on the results. This place is HUGE. I’d say that easily 150 could eat here at the same time. That is, of course, an approximation. There is a choice of tables and booths to sit at. The line is never too long here, and you also have the option of the drive through. They have an ample sized parking lot as well. On more than one occasion they’ve had promotional events here– the radio station, someone from the BC lions, a girl dressed up as Wendy, etc. Even with all of that going on, it’s easy to place a quick order and eat your food undisturbed.
