The service here is wonderful! They have a lot of choice for buffet. Favorite desert is their deep fried milk pudding.

Boxing day dinner exceeded my expectations, they had deep fried frog legs, cream brulee, roast beef, crab legs and garlic chive oysters… everything was phenomenal. Get the jasmine tea, its wonderful loose tea, very delicious!

It’s no Mandarin, but it’s good enough. Satisfies your Chinese buffet craving.

Horrible food Soup had oil bubbles and was uneditable, food was cold and unappealing, and desert was mediocre. Disgusting walls and floors, has an odd smell and staff not very friendly. 2⁄10 would not recommend.

Came here for lunch today with my boyfriend and was very unimpressed. There was a small selection and most of the food was cold and dry. My boyfriend opted to create his own stir fry and the cook alternated between cooking his food and cleaning with chemicals. She didn’t change her gloves once so he didn’t eat it. We tried to speak to a manager about it but they were very unhelpful and nothing was done about it. Will not go back.

I wanted to like this place. It was formerly a Hooters and anything has to be better than that. I’ll lead with service is good and friendly. But it goes Asian pear shaped after that. The buffet area is small and oddly cramped. You’re bumping into other people. The food is kind of slop. The lunch deal was a decent price but I’d rather just go across the street and eat two Cosco hot dogs.

The prices are a bit high and the dining area seems a little cramped. The buffet selection was small too — again felt very cramped walking through the aisles. When it comes to accommodating large groups of people — they fail to put everyone in one table. I didn’t bother taking stuff from the dessert area. I’ve experienced better.

I’ve dined-in quite a number of times and the food’s pretty good. Well, I usually make the most of my money from some noodles, the soups, and the sushi bar. They used to have tempura shrimp on the buffet tables but they removed it :/So that sucks. This review, however, is about my delivery from Garden Buffet. Yes, they do deliver. My family ordered an order of deep fried Chinese buns(6 pcs), Singapore Noodles, one Garden shrimp roll, one order of hot and sour soup, dragon roll, spicy salmon roll, eel roll, and golden fried chicken wings(14 pcs). The deep fried Chinese buns were very good(standard but my mom makes them better. We just wanted to try it from here). The Singapore Noodles were standard. The Garden shrimp roll wasn’t anything fancy, it was literally just a piece of straightened out shrimp wrapped in a spring roll wrap. The hot and sour soup was very good(some restaurants either put too much water or it isn’t spicy at all). The spicy salmon roll was alright and so was the eel roll. The dragon roll was disappointing, why? I didn’t get it. Instead, I got the dragon fly roll. No, not that insect, the space between those two words aren’t a mistake. The dragon roll had tempura shrimp and eel inside topped with avocado. Which I like. The dragon fly roll had tempura shrimp inside and was topped with avocado and nigiri shrimp(go Google it). It was $ 2 extra for that roll instead of the one I ordered. The nigiri shrimp was rubbery and just gross. The avocado tasted stale. The tempura shrimp was good, but then again fried shrimp usually tastes really good. Now, the golden fried chicken wings weren’t anything exciting. Fried chicken drumsticks and wings with some salt over it. The thing was that they were packed at the very bottom of the take-out bag because the box was a bit bigger. Then they stacked our heavy orders on top of that. When I opened our bags and finally found the chicken wings box, it was crushed, torn, and soggy. I know, you may think«Big deal, it’s just a box. Just eat the food inside» which I do agree but I’ve been packing food for jobs for such a long time that this just wasn’t acceptable to me. I wouldn’t mind ordering for delivery from Garden Buffet again but who knows.

One of best Chinese buffets I’ve been to. I enjoyed everything! Its a relatively inexpensive place to eat in Canada… I dont know how Canadians afford to eat.

Man, this place is pretty bad. Not your usual Chinese-Buffet-in-a-strip-mall bad(ie violent food poisoning), admittedly, but bad. The food was uninspiring and looked like it had been out for about 12 hours. Tough beef, tough ribs and even tough fish(didn’t know that was possible!) was the main selection. When you’re at a buffet and you are filing up on(bland) rice just so you won’t be hungry, you know you’re not getting the best Buffet experience. The sushi bar is dire — especially when you consider the excellent all-you-can-eat experience at Tenko Sushi a few doors South. I won’t be coming here again, that’s for sure. Very poor showing indeed, although the staff were friendly and pleasant enough, and it was definitely clean. But that won’t save the experience.

I’ve been going to the Garden buffet since they opened. I think it is the best Chinese buffet in Windsor, when it comes to cleanliness, food quality and service. They used to offer an order sheet for sushi, and the server brings your special order sushi to your table. Unfortunately, they don’t do it anymore! The sushi bar is OK, not a big selection and is a typical buffet sushi quality. on the weekends, the crab legs are really good quality(king) most of the time. Only on couple times, I had bad luck with the crab and it wasn’t that great. The Prime rib is good. The only down side I find, is the salad bar which is minimal.

UPDATE: Since the first time I went to Garden Buffet they’ve improved. Kids are now charged differently and it’s more reasonably priced for them. Having given it a couple more chances I feel it deserves an increase in rating. The food is fresh and well prepared. It doesn’t offer a HUGE variety but it’s a good variety. The thing that makes them stand apart is that they also offer a mongolian bbq service, and sushi. Even at your table you can order rolls of sushi that aren’t found at the buffet and they will prepare and bring it to your table. The sushi itself is prepared very nicely and is actually really good. The price tag for all you can eat sushi alone is reasonable. Plus they seem to have crab legs every night and that sells a lot of people. Wasn’t that much of a fan at first but I’ve become one now.
