My husband and I took some Japanese high school students(who we were hosting in a homestay program) to Saturday night dinner here. We showed up a little early and got seated about 10 minutes before our reservation time, which was 6:30pm. As we were watching the beautiful sunset, the waitress came to take our orders. They were out of all lumpias, out of pasta and cream to make the pasta cream sauce and mashed potatoes. So I ordered the combination BBQ plate, which is supposed to have BBQ chicken and grilled shortribs. Well, they’re out of shortribs, but were serving ribs instead. So I said ok, and the hubs ordered the full order of ribs. Our food did not come until 7:25pm. The ribs were not marinated and lacked any kind of glaze. There was hardly any meat on the bones. The BBQ chicken was just a plain grilled chicken thigh with no glaze or BBQ sauce. The salad that came with the dishes had this very sweet dressing that was not pleasant to me. I was really put out by the waitresses and hostess habit of touching their ponytails. They did not wash their hands after doing this and serving dishes. There were also two guys standing around smoking at the entrance to the eating area, and it was windy so the nasty smell wafted over to us. Also, several of the ceiling fans were missing blades and were hanging crooked. A couple of fans had no blades at all. The floor in the women’s restroom was falling apart. There were holes and cracks exposing the floorboards. I can’t even imagine what the men’s room looked like. This was a really sad restaurant experience. I am ashamed of this being part of these students’ memories of Guam.

First, it is just the Cove. Meskla has nothing to do with them any longer. The staff is nice. No one running the show… the 86 list longer than menu. Ordered Poke, 20 minutes later(after food ordered) were told they had no sesame oil… then, they were out of part of one of the entrees. We finished beverages and cancelled the partial orders… felt sorry for the staff.

Will never come here again! Waitress took forever to give us drinks, we always had to go get her for refills, and was so scared to come tell us the fryer broke and our food was gonna take even longer than it had already been! Not only that the power went off while we were there. Then the manager comes over said he will give a discount and drinks on him but not everyone was having drinks. Then when we get our bill he said I never said I’d give you a discount! Horrible service, horrible food, horrible management! What a shame bc the view is so nice! Don’t go here!

If I could give«The Cove» less than a one I would. This out of the way spot has atmosphere with a view of the water, but if you’re there for food you are messing up. I’ve never had a situation where all 5 guest including myself picked around unable to finish or even put a dent in the plate of food. The fries were brown, but not done. It was like biting into a raw potato. Change the fryer oil folks! Poor meat quality seemed the standard from talking to the other guest. Service was average at best. The waiter was nice enough, but didn’t say a word when he noticed everyone unsatisfied. None of us felt like fighting the battle and just left dissatisfied. Also, they read off a list of things they were out of when we first arrived, but I don’t think it would have mattered.

Getting there is a trick, there isn’t a lot signs letting you know where it’s at. That could also be a blessing to keep it a quiet spot to have a few drinks and dinner. The parking lot is a challenge as there are a lot of large holes that could swallow a Prius. The wait staff were very helpful, our glasses never went empty and they checked up constantly. I ordered the BBQ Platter and the wife ordered the Chili Cheese Fries. My only complaint about the food was the beef on the BBQ Platter was a little bit tough and hard to pull off the bone. Everything was delicious, and well seasoned. The Chili Cheese Fries didn’t have your traditional chili, so at first we thought they forgot it. The chili flavor was definitely there; and the sour cream on top added a nice creamy/richness to it. We’ll definitely be coming back!

The cove is a great beach bar/restaurant with an amazing view! The road to get to it is a little sketchy and the parking lot could use some work… but enough on the negative side. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. We had just missed the Sunday late lunch rush so it was very chill at the bar overlooking the bay. The beer selection is impressive and the wine list isn’t too shabby either. I had the bbq chicken salad, which was a large portion and very tasty! The atmosphere was great, the music was good, and the amenities were clean. I will be returning and I highly recommend you try it as well!

Location is 5 stars and food is fine. Stick with appetizers and basic bar stuff, anything outside of that is nothing special. But it is one of the best spots on island to enjoy a sunset and they can be pretty amazing here.

Meskla on the Cove is now officially called«The Cove.» I am a huge fan of the atmosphere, very relaxed, with separate bar and dining areas, and top-40 music playing in the background. There are also beach chairs and tables to satisfy your relaxation needs. Surrounded by palm trees, the beach, and the ocean… You definitely cannot beat that. The boyfriend and I shared the BBQ platter, and he really enjoyed the chicken and beef. I liked the chili cheese fries — melted cheese, crispy french fries, and topped with just a bit of ground pork — nomsss! Unfortunately, I was not a fan of the mojito — it was too sweet and not minty enough. As another reviewer mentioned, the prices are very reasonable. I can’t help but compare this place to 1) Sunset Grill(in which case, The Cove is MUCH cleaner), and 2) The Beach Bar(while the Beach Bar offers the direct ability to lounge on the beach(among other things), the food at The Cove is indisputably better).

This place is in an odd location tucked behind Alupang tower. The parking lot is full of holes but that is not uncommon in Guam. The bar location right on the water in the open air is what makes this place memorable. Not the food. The food is ok. Had the mahi salad, which was doused in this oily garlic dressing. Definitely get salad dressing ont he side. The mahi was really salty and the salad consisted of lettuce and onions only despite the menu saying it had other vegetables. It was really expensive(16) for a subpar salad. Calamansi mojito was tasty though I’m not sure it had any alcohol in it for $ 8. My friend got the bbq chicken with fries and said it was tasty. Maybe thats the way to go.

It’s no longer meskla on cove just the cove. Need food that goes with the atmosphere and booze. Unhappy.

Really nice little hidden bar on the water. Person at hotel recommended. Music on weekends. Menu not big but good food and good atmosphere.

We arrived at lunch time and was greeted by our friendly server. We sat down, ordered our food and enjoyed the gorgeous view. We started off with their fish kelaguen(it’s similar to ceviche) and boy was it delicious! I would have been satisfied with just a big plate of that with their titiyas(fried corn tortillas). Then we had our burgers– he had the shrimp uhang burger and I had the alupang bay burger. Both were very savory! This is a great outdoor dining restaurant :)

Food is subpar, customer service takes forever and is horrible. They are also horrible neighbors being super noisy next to a condo complex that has both pilots, doctors and medical staff members that have to be up very early.

A very nice place to have dinner and enjoy the beach, live entertainment, and if you drink. the bar. It was a little warm when I went there around 8pm for a casual dinner. I was sweating a bit, but nothing too uncomfortable. Like most places, the service is not that great when packed. I had to stop the waiter after ten minutes of waiting for the bill. As for food, there’s lots of options. I had the crab burger, it was okay, different!

We were one of 3 tables there at the time so it wasn’t very busy. The first thing I noticed was the view. You are right on the cove. They have steps to walk down so you can go to the beach. Perfect for bringing kids to. They can play while you enjoy one of their Beach Zombie cocktails. Our server was prompt and polite, answering all my questions about the menu. We ordered the catch filet of the day, which ended up being parrot fish, and the BBQ platter. Let me just say, WOW! The fish wad seasoned very well and grilled perfectly. So many restaurants over grill fish and it becomes too dry. But here, it literally feel apart in my mouth. Delicious. The BBQ was easily just as good. The ribs were falling off the bone and had a sweet sauce coating it. My mouth is watering just describing it. The prices are more than reasonable, ranging from about $ 13-$ 22. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars was because of the flies. I know this is an outside restaurant and the flies are in full force during this season but still. We probably had 20+ flies hovering around us. I wound have liked to been able to sit and enjoy the view and cocktails more. Overall though, this place is awesome!

One of the best beach restaurants I’ve been to. The restaurant is right on the cove and I caught a breath taking sunset! If you have kiddos, you can have them run around on the beach while you wait for your food. Once you’re ready to move on from the view, I recommend getting seafood for your meal. I had the catch of the day(wahu) and it was deliciously grilled and seasoned. It came with kalamansi and soy sauce that paired well with the red rice. My husband had fish tacos, which greatly reminded us of tacos from San Diego(a compliment to the chef since San Diego is THE hometown of fish tacos and has the best ones). When I return, I plan on sitting in a cabana and getting a cocktail!

Go for midday drink and let the kids play in the water wile you watch from a shaded lounge chair. Stay for dinner and start with the spicy wings. It’s a bit out of the way but it’s worth the extra drive time.

Great view of Agana Bay. Nice place to chill with some friends and some nice cold beer. I had the Ribeye Philly Cheesesteak and the Crab Cakes. The Crab Cakes were excellent, but the Ribeye Philly Cheesesteak was pretty lackluster. It’s not Meskla Bistro quality, but I don’t think people come here solely for the food. The venue is a great outdoor hangout.

Below average food and the beer was not cold enough. Great location though.
