They were terrific. I live in San Clemente and normally had Shaw Carpets do my house. However, unfortunately, going out of business and they referred me to Mac.

The selection process and measuring was a lot easier than expected. Rick answered all questions and offered great suggestions. The installation was scheduled and occurred as promised. The last time I had carpet installed it took 2 days. MAC’s install team completed a quality installation in 1 day! They were professional, careful with moving furniture and making sure I was satisfied before they departed. I would highly recommend MAC Flooring.

Before MAC flooring, I searched many different retailers including Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Empire today. The reason I initially searched a big retailer was that I thought I could get a better deal. Boy was I wrong.
The people at MAC flooring are a small company, but very proficient with probably the best pricing for quality you can find in this area. The carpet I went with is made locally in Irvine and was actually the most affordable nylon carpet of any of the companies I mentioned earlier.
Not only that, but the carpet has already been tested several times with many spills including pet vomit, red wine, and other stains and it has stood the test. I am very pleased with my purchase and their service and cannot recommend them enough.

I had an idea of what I wanted and Kristin didn’t waste any time in the showroom explaining the difference in carpets I was looking at. When Lisa came to the house with samples, she didn’t push the most expensive carpet at me. In fact, she recommended a less expensive carpet than the one I was considering.
I had stairs and upstairs re-​carpeted and had some wood laminate installed in a walk-​in closet and adjacent hallway. Both sets of installers were great. Fast and clean. I had almost no clean up to do when they left. Poor guy that installed the laminate had to cut down all of the new baseboards — I think he lost a few lbs running up and down the stairs. He did an amazing job in the closet. I had him leave the closet doors off it looks so good! Thank you Mac Flooring!

MAC installed our new wood floors in our new home in Coto de Caza and I couldn’t be happier with the product and service that they provided!

MAC Flooring is clearly a good company that does good work! We had Lisa give us an estimate for carpeting and even though it wasn’t the cheapest it was within range. Her measurements were right on the money. Arturo and his crew were great. The stairs proved to be difficult because of the carpet pattern, so they were here from 9:30 am until 10:00 pm to finish the job. They did great work! Their prices are comparable to the big stores but they take good care of you. I recommend them without reservation.

I’m so happy we used Mac Flooring. They did such an amazing job on our new carpet and we are going to have them tile a bathroom soon. Everything is amazing and I highly recommend them.

Not only did Mac Flooring help us decide the perfect carpet within our budget, NO heavy sell was included. Rick, the salesman, knew his carpeting. The gentlemen that laid the carpet, Arturo and Miguel knew their trade, also. They vacuumed every spec of loose carpeting before they put everything back exactly the way it was. These are great guys to have in your home. They were so helpful!!!

I recently had Mac Flooring replace the carpet in one of my rental properties. I had 3 days to turn around the property and Mac Flooring was able to make recommendations and deliver in that time frame. I highly recommend Mac Flooring for your flooring needs!

We hired them to replace or carpet on stairs and all throughout upstairs. I only wish we had hired them to install our hardwood tiles downstairs for that project but you live and learn.

We couldn’t be more pleased with our new tile and carpet. Rick was so helpful in the showroom and in our home. He offered great advice for a family of 6 with 2 dogs. We have gorgeous tile that looks like hardwood. Rick was great with helping us match carpet that looks great as well as fits our needs in durability. The 3 crews who came to our home were very professional and they finished in less time than expected. The person in charge of installation, Brad, made himself available to us ²⁴⁄₇. MAC Floors was recommended to us through a friend and now I know why. I give MAC the highest rating possible. We feel like we are in a new home.

I am giving MAC Flooring 2 stars because they were very timely when I was in need of a quick quote to remove and replace my hardwood floors after we experienced some water damage .
Sadly the mistakes that followed as a result of their miscalculation of the time and effort it would take to remove our floors and the hasty effort they put forward to remedy their mistakes caused irreparable damage to our home and family. The problem stemmed from the poor job they did when they did not do their research and misjudged the time and effort it would take for them to remove our existing pre-​finished hardwood floors, they quoted us 2 days for a job that ended up taking them 10 days. Normally this could have been an unforeseeable situation for them because when beginning to remove a flooring product you usually cannot see how the floor was installed. This however was not the case, they not only could see how the floor was previously installed (because a portion had already been removed post water damage and was fully exposed) I, the homeowner, on several occasions made a point of telling our sales rep. how the floor had been installed and that the job to remove will be difficult so please make sure to look carefully and bid very carefully as with our job, timing was of the essence.
Sadly they chose to stick with there original quote and asked me not to worry. That cost me, my cabinet maker and delayed my entire job by well over a month, costing us several thousands of dollars not reimbursable by our insurance company.
It appears they misrepresented themselves as to their knowledge and capability regarding removal of hardwood flooring over a dual sub floor that was both nailed and glued down. Further based upon the definition of their C15 license, it appears questionable as to whether their license even covers such an extensive removal of flooring, or simply allows for the preparation for new flooring.
I have not even touched upon the damage to my home due to improper prep and covering of my appliances and built in furnishings. Their negligent safety standards (ask me to show you the picture of their workers using a sparking blade saw over a plastic bag of wood) in my family room.
And the garbage that was left for days on my kitchen floor after their workers took food breaks.
Perhaps for a simple quick install they are adequate, at least according to their Unilocal reviews (which is incidentally how I found them). But, BUYERS BEWARE if you have a difficult removal.
Just as a side note, their prices for wood floors ended up being noticeably higher product for product. Very glad I decided not to use them for installation.

Had a wonderful experience with MAC Flooring!
We had them remove our old carpet and install new carpet in our newly purchased home. The team is VERY friendly and Grant and Kristin are very knowledgable about their industry too. The installation went great and Grant was very gracious with his inspection after the installation. The carpet is the perfect quality and color for our home, thank you Kristin for your help.
Love the warranty on the carpet as well.

This review is long overdue! Mac Flooring is absolutely amazing. We bought a brand new house and didn’t want the builder to install our wood floors due to the outrageous price they were trying to charge us. That’s when my friend suggested Grant and his team to do the work. We had as many appointments with him as we needed to make sure we were getting the exact flooring we wanted.
Once we got the keys to our new home, Grant and his team worked so hard to make sure our floors were done within a week. Mind you, he did our whole house from the downstairs to upstairs, laundry room and bathroom! Talk about quick!
Since our house was new, we knew the house wasn’t completely settled and that there could be some shifting. We didn’t have too many problems, but when we had minor tweaks here and there, I called Grant and he sent his team to come fix it within a few days.
If you need new flooring done, definitely go with Mac Flooring. We couldn’t be more happy with how everything turned out!

Called Venetian Flooring given their stellar reviews only to find out they only do wood. I spoke to the owner who referred me to MAC Flooring (awesome as they’re in competition) for my porcelain/​wood look tile. Got on the horn with MAC and had a 20 minute conversation with Grant about the project; no one takes that kind of time anymore, I was pretty much sold at this point. We scheduled an appointment for them to come measure and see the house. I’m in North OC and the’re in South OC; they agreed to meet me at my house at 5:15pm despite the hellacious traffic, another A+ in my book.
Rick was the one that came up to bid the job and measure everything. Well, after viewing my Home Depot plank, he brought some Marazzi Cambridge Oak in a Natural Color to compare. He educated me on the cheaper Home Depot tile that was more expensive to lay and less natural looking given the variation/​warping that accompanies that manufacturing style vs. the slightly more expensive rendered tiles that lay flatter with smaller grout lines for a more natural look that would be cheaper to install. Both would be about the same price but the texture, print, and color of the product he brought was unbelievable next to the cheesy HD plank. He then whipped out his carpet samples. I was ready to pull the trigger based on his knowledge and the product quality of the samples that he brought. He encourages me to bring my wife to the showroom that Saturday to confirm everything and draft the contract.
The price on the flooring ended up being about $ 1000 cheaper than Home Depot’s bid with the inferior product and it included 5″ baseboards as well. We signed and were on our way with a $ 1,000 deposit. Demo started and my engineered wood flooring only to find it glued not floating and a VERY poor glue job at that. The guys tore it up, took an extra 2 days given the complications and charged me $ 0 additional for that added labor. Love that kind of service. Brad, the project manager was VERY responsive via text and thorough in his explanations. Rather than hit me with «sorry, way more work, it will cost an extra $ 500» he apologized repeatedly for the delay. Again, awesome.
There was a 4 week lapse between demo and install a i was renovating the house as well. Once renovation ceased, I called Brad back to schedule the install. Within 3 days, I had new tile/​wood look flooring with 1/​16″ grout lines laid PERFECTLY flat and beautiful new carper and pad with our 4.5″ baseboards.
The contractor we selected for the renovations made me think that every part of this job would need me there to babysit and teach people how to do their job. Well, MAC proved that wrong. Their service and quality of work is impeccable and i will be referring them to everyone.
Also, I’m now so used to contractors hitting me up for more money on jobs yet to be completed that it was nice that MAC flooring did everything with a $ 1,000 deposit up front, balance paid on completion after the final walk through. Love a business that works off a handshake like I do.
Now for the gripe as every review needs a little whining. It must have been in the contract and i didn’t see it but my baseboards are Swiss Coffee. I hate that color and all my door casings are bright white. I wish they would’ve called me before painting them a mis-​matched color to my other moldings that were already installed rather than just doing it. If it bugs me enough, i will repaint them; it was just worth mentioning. I will add some pictures shortly!
