Recently had my 750LI in for brakes and a couple electrical issues. Dealt with Mike and Chris, and both couldn’t have been nicer. Very professional customer service, great work and timely repair. Highly recommend Arlington Performance over many other local shops and most dealer repairs. Definitely plan to return for any future needs.

This review is long overdue. I’ve been bringing my cars here for 15 years and as another review stated: honest, quick, thorough, reasonably priced and damn great guys. They’ve done everything on my cars from oil changes to water pump replacements to even a new transmission. I am lucky to have found Chris and team to service my cars versus getting ripped off at a dealership.

I thought I wrote a review late last year and that I was going to update it. I guess I didn’t so here it is: I’ve been coming here for the past year. They’ve worked on two of my cars and they did an emergency battery replacement for a friend.
I’m guessing that I’ve had eight or nine visits and, so far, I’ve been happy every time. For my friend’s battery replacement, they were quite a bit cheaper than one of the national auto parts/​repair places down the street.
I’ll update this as I go along. Highly recommended.

I’ve been here before with no issues thought they were great. I felt finally a trusting place that could use for minor services… First I want to say my girlfriends father is a mechanic… Took my girlfriends car here for an oil change since her father lives about an hour away and this place is walking distance. Oil changed good no problem. Next day she came back from work I noticed a green puddle (coolent). Took it back to Arlington performance I thought maybe something became loose never had an issue like this before. They said I need to replace a gasket behind a timing chain. Because it’s behind the motor there is a lot of labor to get to it. Repair cost was quoted @ $ 750 so much for something getting loose… I called my girl friends father (the mechanic) he told me to check the coolent reservoir cap. Sure enough the cap was cross threaded. I went to auto-​zone spent $ 8 for a new cap and $ 13 for more coolent. Turns out that’s all that was wrong with her car. Either this shop has idiots working there or they are SCAMMERS! I will not returning to them I suggest you do the same.

My wife had her battery replaced last year and this winter her car would die when it got really cold out. Found out that it was a manufacturer issue with the battery… they replaced the battery under warranty no problem, free of charge. This has been my only experience with them, but they seem very trustworthy and i would do business with them again.

I have brought my cars here for years. Always pleased with the outcome — service and the bill.

Was told my BMW needed harness for rear taillight area. Employee said cost was $ 185 including parts and labor. Took it to my regular mechanic who fixed problem with a wire and a screw. That’s the difference between a regular repair shop that can’t think outside the box and a great natural mechanic. Took car there for synthetic oil change as my mechanic doesn’t work on weekends. BUYER BEWARE.

I have been taking my bmw 750 il to them for three years to have all the service work done. What a great place!!! Before take my car to them I was going to the dealer and paying at least double for the same service. I guess I was paying for the free coffee and the nice show room before. The owner (Chris) and the two service writers (mike and mark) are just outstanding!!! Save your money and go to Arlington Performance for all your service work. Sincerely Rich P

I brought my Lexus here for a brake job. The service and reputation for honesty is exactly what I experienced.
What I also like it that they used OEM parts on my car. When said and done, it was far less then the dealer and as good of an experience.
I have over 20K miles on the brake job, no issues.

This place is GREAT! There is nothing better than finding a place to take your car that you don’t feel is taking advantage of you! I have been to this mechanic (Chris) a few times now and each time I walk away knowing that I am lucky to have found it! I recommend them to anyone and everyone! Thanks Arlington Performance for continuing the idea that there is integrity and pride in business and that not everyone is simply out for a buck! I hope you are in business for MANY generations– you deserve the every bit of reward that comes your way!!!

My family has been taking all of our cars here for years. From my parent’s nicer cars (imports, which Arlington Performance specializes in) to my and my sister’s 15 year old Jeeps, Grand Ams, etc.
No matter what the issue is, they call and give you an honest assessment, never overcharge or do unnecessary work, and are always extremely professional and polite. Customer service and quality auto repairs — both exceed expectations and at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

Great local shop with good management and service. Same quality work as the dealerships at a fraction of the price. I have always taken my Acura to these guys and have been very satisfied.

I have taken my BMW as well as my family’s BMWs and Nissans here for service numerous times over the last 5 years. I have also recommended friends with BMWs, Audis and Porches. They have always done a stand up job, been honorable to their word and while staying competitively priced. Don’t put the dealer’s kids through an ivy league education. Sure they don’t have designer furniture in the waiting area, but I do not need that. They accommodate their customers needs very well. Good luck finding a more honest, reputable, experienced and reliable mechanic in this metro area. I drive out of my way from the south loop to use these stand-​up guys. I tried this place out for an A/​C diagnostic and it only cost me $ 50 dollars. The diagnostic was more involved than originally thought, yet Mark Stone still honored the $ 50 dollar fee.
If you tend to take your car to the dealer and want to experience better prices with great customer service, then give this place a try.

They were very friendly. I called around to many area shops and selected them because they were one of the only places they knew what part I was asking to be installed (it’s actually a very common problem for my car) and were also the only place that quoted me a price that was only for the amount of time it would take. Not the time a repair manual said. They were between ½ and ¼ the price of everyone else. They also allowed me to bring in my own parts that I had already purchased instead of buying it from them. I will now be going back for all future work needed on my car.

i have taken all my cars (bmw, mercedes, honda, mitsubishi, mazda) to this shop of experienced mechanics whom have never tried to upsell me into unneeded repairs, in fact, on many occasion they have told me not to bother repairing something they felt could wait or was insignificant… if you are looking for a spotless shop with service bays you could eat dinner off, this is not your place (though most of the guys here used to work at one of those places) but the waiting area is pleasant and appears to be constantly improving… all the employees are very courtious and have even taken the time to run out and look at my car on occasions that i have been driving by and had a concern about a noise or such… i have recommended this spot to friends including the owner of a lexus Ls 400 who was quoted $ 3800 from a local lexus dealer for an in depth dash AC repair, her cost here was just over $ 1000
