Business Owner

Carrie Gravenson is passionate about being organized and her goal is to share this gift with the world. Before founding Unjumbler, she would find herself organizing magazines at the doctor’s office, food on the shelves of supermarkets, and sugar packets on the tables of diners. She was happy to find that she could channel this skill to help others create and maintain organization in their lives.

I recently hired Unjumbler to help me move into a new apartment and I’m so happy I did! Carrie has given me the confidence to purge my underused belongings, making the unpacking process that much easier. She has also made expert recommendations in what I should invest so that my stuff always remains organized. All of the things she has assisted me with are things I never could have done on my own! For this and for her easygoing nature, I am incredibly indebted.

Carrie listens to you describe how you live and your habits, then creates a system that works for you to become organized and stay organized. She is highly knowledgable about shelving, closet systems, etc. but won’t push products on you that you can’t afford. She can help find solutions to best fit your needs.

Carrie is terrific. She swoops in and helps us not only to clean up the clutter and make our apartment more orderly and hospitable, but also to create systems we can follow to keep it that way. She is friendly, professional, reliable, and reasonably priced. Some organizers (who probably charge more) promise the world in four hours, and might have dramatic before /​after photos on their websites as «proof» of the miracles they work. But the truth is it takes time and consistent effort to make a serious and lasting lifestyle change. As we have made the commitment to more orderly living, Carrie has served as a mentor and partner in helping us make our vision a reality. Coming home to cleanliness and sanity, as opposed to dusty piles of God-​knows-​what and mini-​avalanches of old mail, is truly a relaxing and refreshing experience these days.

My apartment has been a source of stress, embarrassment and relationship strife for years. Now when I get home I feel happiness and relief. We’re actually inviting people over for dinner! Carrie is friendly, funny and wonderfully non-​judgmental. Not only do you end up with a well-​organized apartment, she also makes you feel confident that you can maintain it.

Carrie is clearly a natural-​born organizer, but she shares her gift! My cabinets finally make sense. Now, when I open the tool cabinet, I can practically do it with my eyes closed– the system just works. Carrie helped make it intuitive, simple and easy to maintain. Highly recommended. (In fact, I’ll probably hire her again in six months.)
