Moe has been fantastic! He is very available and prompt to respond. Additionally, he is very knowledgeable, personable, and fair. Definitely recommend this company.

I was assigned Austin Aire &Heat by my home warranty company. Moe was out the same day and diagnosed the issue quickly. He ended up replacing my outside unit. There were some complications in the ordering process (on my warranty company not Moe) but he kept me up to date. He even lowered the price a little when we were further delayed by rain.
A week later a part broke. He came out and replaced it free of charge even though it was due to ants and he wasn’t going to get reimbursed. I would recommend Austin Aire and Heat to anyone.

Austin Aire & Heat were the vendors assigned to me by my home warranty company to look into an A/​C coil leak discovered by another A/​C company. I was a little skeptical about not having a choice, but the home warranty people told me they were among some of their highest rated A/​C vendors.
The home warranty company said I would hear from Austin Aire & Heat to schedule an appointment. I was encouraged when Moe called within an hour. I was also surprised that he was able to schedule a time to come look at the system within a day. He confirmed the leak, took care of ordering the part and then returned to replace the coil.
When a different issue surfaced within a month of the coil replacement, Moe came back again very quickly and helped fix it within a matter of minutes.
For having low expectations since I was assigned this company without a choice, I was pleasantly surprised at the responsiveness and follow-​through. In the end, I was happy to have been assigned a competent company.

Have had Austin Aire, Heat & Appliance out a couple times and both times Moe was excellent.
The first time I had the HVAC drain back up and Moe not only identified it and fixed it quickly — he also showed me how to do routine maintenance to keep it clear.
The second time I had the compressor go out, again Moe was the consummate professional. He not only changed out the compressor, he also looked at some of the wires and ended up rewiring, padding and taping. He also did a check on the Freon, just in case!
Each time Moe gives good advice and shows his great experience and knowledge. Very good company, I recommend them highly!

Last week my AC stopped blowing cold air. That sucks in Austin when you know it’s about to start getting really hot again. So I called up Austin Aire — they had fixed my other AC under warranty a few months ago — fast, clean, expert service from 2 friendly professionals…
I called on Monday, Brian and Moe came on Thursday and found my compressor had died — apparently the equipment my house came with was flawed from the start and rarely lasted as long as this unit had lasted. I authorized the repair and the work was done the next day. Works perfectly now and the price was reasonable for expert and prompt service.

I called these guys to come out and inspect my air conditioner that was tripping the breaker and the compressor was not coming on. I was pretty sure since it was over 15 years old that the compressor was shot.
The technician came out the next day said exactly that bad compressor and was going to get back to me for the cost and time to get it installed. But that he was really busy and might be a while. I ask him a while and he stated if not on Saturday (2 days later) then over 1 ½ weeks later. All this in 100+ degree weather.
So of course they take my money for coming out and then want me to just sit around waiting for them for almost 2 weeks.
When I told them to forget it I was using someone else the guy at the main office got extremely violent with me on the phone.
I can not say 1 good thing about these guys.

Amen to Anna G I was outraged at the poor service I received from these people clearly they have bitten off more than they can chew over worked technician that have no problem telling you just that John informed me he hadn’t had a day off in 2 weeks I just want my AC fixed its 100 degrees outside are you kidding me they told me it was a bad compressor which couldn’t be fixed until Monday and its Friday temperature upper 90’s (WTF) and First American ought to be ashamed of themselves robbing hard working people giving us a false sense of security only to find out they aren’t there when you need them and to add insult to injury you re on hold letting you know that you can be at ease knowing you have serviceability integrity what a laugh also ²⁴⁄₇ 365 availability (which I was told meant First American answering service WOW!) If you hear First American or Austin Aire run like hell or you’ll be sorry!!!

Awesome service. I’ve used these guys twice and both times I’ve always ended up a happy customer.
Here’s how it works, it’s $ 55 dollars to call them out, like a site visit fee. Then they estimate how much the work would cost and you decide then and there what you want done (or not). What I like to do is make a list of what’s wrong w/​my place (it’s old), then call up these guys to get the estimate, then if I agree w/​the price, ask them to do part or the entire list. I told my downstairs neighbor about them and he was also happy with the results (he also made a list of things to do because he was selling his place and needed alot of things done).
At the time, my dishwasher was sort of busted. It wasn’t draining the fluid. I called these guys and not only did he fix it, he taught me how to fix it so that if it happens again I could just fix it myself and save some money.
In my other review (of the horrible Clarke Kent Plumbers) I mentioned a P-​Trap replacement. So I asked the handyman about the P-​Trap and how much is should cost. He said materials shouldn’t run more than $ 25 bucks (I don’t need expensive chrome pipes)…and with the $ 55 site fee… I’m looking at $ 80 bucks tops. He even said he could possibly get the $ 25 bucks down. That’s less than Clarke Kent’s estimate, and definitely less than the $ 197 Clarke Kent robbed me of.
The only reason I don’t give it 5-​stars is because it seems they don’t keep the same handymen… I think they are always changing… which means someday I might get someone who is rude or will try to rip me off. But so far it’s 3 – 0 (the third being my downstairs neighbor)
