Lloyd was extremely helpful. The water heater in our rent house started leaking. Our tenants have two small children and couldn’t be without hot water for to long. I called Lloyd late in the day. He showed up before 8 a.m. the next day and had the water heater installed by 11 a.m. And his estimate was great too. 500 less than another plumber I wasn’t impressed with and thought was priced too high to begin with! I am glad I found Lloyd on Unilocal.I am happy with his work so far! Thank you Lloyd.

These guys were great! My aunt’s water heater rusted out and we needed a replacement installed ASAP. They came over the same day, replaced the wet wood, installed the new water heater, raised the vent line and replaced all the valves and flex hoses. The work was well done and they even swept the area before leaving. Hot water was restored and we couldn’t have been happier.
The owner is a stitch — really funny guy, very personable. I would absolutely call these guys again.

My son had apparently flushed the whole toilet paper roll which clogged the toilet. Called L&R, spoke to a nice lady who took down my information. Lloyd called me back within 10 minutes, asked if someone would be home in the next 10 minutes. I was shocked.
Fixed the clog with an auger, ran a maintenance check on all toilets, and actually stopped a leak we had in another bathroom.
Lloyd was Honest, lightning fast, funny and reliable.
Highly recommend L&R Plumbing.

Lloyd identified the leak in my yard in no time at all, and resolved the issue. He returned to clean up the yard and then installed a replacement to my failed waste disposal. He is knowledgeable, reliable and courteous. The job is explained as he works. I would not hesitate to recommend him or use him again for any of my future plumbing needs. And he only billed when all work was completed. 5 Star cat friendly plumber!

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that no one likes dealing with or paying for plumbing issues. Plumbers can get very expensive. I’m currently starting a new job, just moved into my first house, and am low on money.
When I had a clogged toilet that no one was able to successfully unclog, I called Larry. He was very responsive, and gave me the lowest estimate I was able to find. He was a pleasure to work with, got the job done quickly, and was more than fair at negotiating the cost of the parts and labor with me.
I would definitely recommend him to others.

Called Lloyd at 10pm for a slow leak, he showed up promptly at 8am and cleared out the clog within 30 minutes. Price was cheaper that others quoted. Lloyd was quick, friendly, and punctual. My new go-​to plumber. Thanks Lloyd!

Lloyd was friendly and helpful at 7 a.m. on a Monday morning. He came in and found that I needed a new water heater. He came an hour later and installed it and by 11 AM I was taking a hot shower. He even showed me how to maintain the equipment and was overall very good to do business with. Highly recommended.

My water heater decided that on the way out it wanted to send a message, and it figured that the best way to do it was to flood all over our master bedroom closet. No, that’s not where we keep the giant tank, it’s just where the water went because the guy who installed it thought it better to save ten bucks and NOT put a drain pan underneath to dispose of errant leaking water.
In a panic (and at 10pm), I called around the highest-​rated plumbers on Unilocal,and Lloyd was the first to say he could be here the next day. He laid out exactly what he would do, how he would do it, and how much it would cost.
I have often thought that I would like for one of my sons to become a master plumber — now I know that I’d like for him to be as effective as Lloyd. Great work, reasonable prices, and a very pleasant person to deal with.
Oh, and he put in a drain pan. I expect this water heater to go a bit more quietly into the night when it’s all said and done.

RUN, dont walk away from this snake in the grass. this guys quoted a price, pulled the permit and then tried to double his price upon commencement. When i told him no, that i would find someone else to do the job, he threatened to NOT remove himself from our permit until we payed him off. Not to mention, he delayed the job for over a month. RUN!

What can I say other than what a professional! From the moment he arrived thru the job to the moment of departure this was by far the best experience I have ever had with a service call of any kind not just from a plumber. Fast, courteous and knowledgeable with a good since of humor Lloyd is the homeowners dream service rep. Referred by another company… had to have quick service for a slow sewer drain.
Lloyd was there within an hour. He listened to what i had to say and offered suggestions for handling the problem. He left to pick up another piece of equipment, and his sidekick/​helper. He returned within a reasonable austin-​traffic amount of time.
I was a bit nervous for I had agreed to use an expensive diagnostic tool for the job. I am grateful that Lloyd suggested it, as it made solving the problem so much easier.
He is a fair and honest plumber, and certainly treated our situation with respect and professionalism. And he has a really cute puppy!

I called L&R Plumbing and spoke to the owner, Lloyd, right away. I had a leak under a sink and he came out the next day and fixed it. He was very responsive and friendly. He made a good impression on me. So, I asked him to change out the disposal under the kitchen sink. We set up a time the following week and he was very prompt and worked quickly. He charged me for both services together after he finished installing the disposal.
I took off one star because his business methods are a little unorganized. The first time I used L&R Plumbing was 5 – 6 months prior when another plumber could not finish the job and referred L&R. Lloyd sent another plumber to fix a tub overflow issue. When I talked to Lloyd this time around he did not really remember the guy. This made me a little nervous. Also, Lloyd did not give me an invoice right away for the job. He said he would mail it to me.
Overall, Lloyd is a genuinely friendly man. He charges reasonable prices. He is responsive and does the work quickly. I would use him again and I would also recommend him to others.

On Monday I called one of the plumbers with a 5 star review but he was busy that week and referred me to Lloyd. I called Lloyd and set up a first client in the morning appointment at 8am on Tuesday. At 8 Lloyd called to tell me he’d been in a fender bender and was running a little late & was still in North Austin (I live South) but he should be a my place in 30 or 45 minutes. I called him back at nine, no answer so I left a message. I called back at 9:20, still no answer. I called at 9:30, and Lloyd was just getting in the truck to head to South Austin. Sorry, dude. I canceled the appointment. I don’t know whether he’s a good plumber or not, but I wasn’t going to waste a day finding out.

L&R Plumbing was recommended to us by another plumbing company in town, and boy are we glad. What tremendous service!
Lloyd is the owner, and he’s friendly in a truly Texas way. We had a broken sewer line that was causing all sorts of problems, and when we called in a panic on Friday afternoon Lloyd was there within an hour. He fixed the problem temporarily (so we could use our toilets) and come back within a couple days to diagnose the problem and give us an estimate.
Suffice to say the problem was massive, but Lloyd offered us a very reasonable price. Furthermore, he and his crew showed up in the morning and had dug up, replaced, and filled over the new pipe by lunch time. Extraordinary!
Very friendly, very reasonable, very efficient. Send them your business… you won’t be disappointed!
