Big Haul Junk Removal

This is the second time we have used Big Haul. The two gentleman (Jon and Christian) who provided our service were prompt, courteous and professional. They called prior to arrival which was at the earlier of the two hour window we had been promised. The provided us with advise as to how we could dispose of the paint they could not take. They worked continuously and efficiently, finishing in 30 minutes. Jon and Christian cleaned up the driveway after they were finished loading. I would highly recommend this company and in particular Jon and Christian. Big Haul is lucky to have them representing them.

Scheduled a pick up for today and was told they could be here between 8 and 10 and to expect a phone call when about 15 minutes out. They called at 8:15 and showed up about 15 – 20 minutes later. Polite and efficient. Would definitely use them again and will do so since I’m only in the beginning of cleaning out years worth of junk from the basement.

What a great experience. When we bought new couches, we were disappointed to hear that Macy’s would not take our old stuff; however, Big Haul to the rescue. They quickly and safely removed our old couch and loveseat from our living room for ~$ 160.00. They were courteous, on-​time, professional, and didn’t bang up our walls with the furniture. Also, if you want your stuff taken away on the weekend, I hear it is not extra charge! If you call them and they don’t answer (this happens sometimes), just leave a message; they will get back to you very quickly. Great experience, and I would do it again.

These guys were great. My estimate was way off but that was my fault as I didn’t realize I had that much junk. They called 45 mins prior to arrival and went to work ASAP. It was a garage clean out so they made sure to open each box beforehand and double check with me that it was ok to toss. They even swept up afterwards. Highly recommended and way cheaper than 1800 got junk. These guys have bigger trucks, more manpower (I had 3 for my job), and less expensive. Service was impeccable. What more could a customer ask for?!

They sent the big 16′ truck, almost emptied half the old belongings gathering dust in my house… they gave me a 20% discount on the spot. The loading of a lot furniture and excess stuff in the house went quick… about 30 min. I hired a helper, so the 4 of us were an excellent team!
Total bill from Big Haul was $ 470.40. What a value!

Friendly, helpful customer service and punctual, but they get dinged one star because the fee was rather high compared to their baseline pricing. On their web site, the minimum charge is indicated as $ 65, but to haul away one full-​size mattress set and one small wooden desk they charged twice that amount.
I went with Big Haul because of the good reviews and because they appeared to have more sensible pricing than the competitors, but what they charged ($ 136 w/​tax) negates much of the value notion. Still, I recommend them due to the quality of their service.

Had an appointment set, confirmation email, and estimate in under an hour, all thru email. Super easy.
Guys were nice, on time (early actually), very careful, called to confirm and came in under the estimate.
I got rid of some furniture, price and responsiveness were better than the other 4 places I contacted.
Will use again.

I looked at several «junk removal» companies before giving Big Haul a try. I sent an email inquiry at 10AM, got a response by 10:20AM, had an appointment by 10:45AM, the guys were here at 12:30PM, and my junk was gone by 12:45PM. Same day? I’ll say!
They were polite, efficient, friendly, quick, and conscientious. Unlike some haulers who _​say_​they recycle and donate but who really just dump it all in the back for disposal, Big Haul separates items for donation and recycling on the spot.
This is a local company, and they were anywhere from 50%-75% cheaper than the bigger outfits. They hauled away a massive old-​tube TV, three futon mattresses, a broke-​down old chair, some old (but usable) DVD players, and a donatable exercise rowing apparatus. Even _​with_​the (reasonable) $ 10 TV disposal fee, it was only $ 80. Estimates I got from the other guys started at around $ 200.
These guys rock!

OMG! I am so thankful for this service. I am moving out in the early morning, the dumpster is full, I have a ton of rugs and trash and other stuff to get rid of. Called Big Haul at 6:35pm and they are coming to pick it up tomorrow. Local company. Green. Fantastic service. Very fairly priced. THANK YOU!!!

Great pricing, prompt and courteous service! They even called asking to come earlier because a truck was running early. After calling around to other highly rated hauling companies, we’re glad we used this one. Definitely going to refer and use again in the future.

Quick, accurate estimate given via email and truck came out promptly the next day. Guys were fast, professional, courteous and the bid/​final cost was exactly as promised and lower than the competition. Highly recommend.

Upon searching for a cheap and affordable junk hauling company, i stumbled upon this local green company. Sure, I’ve seen shows like hbo’s «Hoarders» and have seen the GOTJUNK folks around neighborhoods, but was aghast at their ridiculous prices. Instead I found these guys, Big Haul Junk Removal who definitely matched what I was really looking for.
I called them with little notice around 8:15pm on a Sunday night expecting to get an answering machine. I had a roughly small load.100 sq feet of carpet and matting, some scrap tack wood and a nasty ugly bed frame with nasty ugly patterned sheets. Add a few flooring boxes folded up on this mound of crap living beside my beautiful couch. It was all but flattering and had to go. And go soon. The gentleman, who answered my call, booked me for the VERY NEXT DAY which was Monday around 1:30pm. I must say the price quote was $ 65 bucks as opposed to GOTJUNKS ridiculous $ 130-​$ 150 prices Not only was the price right, the gentleman I spoke to was incredibly personable and experienced. I agreed to do this, and was ready to give my apartment a proper colonic.
John (*or Jon) called me fifteen minutes before he was due to arrive. He was very fast and just overwhelmingly awesome with his fearlessness to get the job done. I had added some extra stuff for him to haul last minute, but fortunately he only added ten extra bucks. A total deal considering it was that nasty ugly bed frame I mentioned prior. I definitely liked the fact he was noninvasive and was in and out in about ten minutes tops, including the glass of water he consumed afterward.
I asked him if Ten bucks was cool for his ten minutes of hauling and he brightened up and said «Yeah!» although it was followed up with a saddening note that people often don’t tip movers. I did ask him what was wrong with humanity as moving is a service, and we all should know what TIPS are. It is an acronym meaning «To Insure Proper Service,» AKA TIPS. Also what bastard doesn’t tip people who haul nasty bed frames among other nasty stuff? Anyways, TIP your movers!
I’m all about supporting the little small business guy as opposed to a gigantic corporation who pride themselves on «professionalism» and «teamwork.» Oftentimes the littler guy is just as good, if not better at communicating and giving a more personable experience. Definitely will call these guys again when I need to cleanse my habitats.
