Glendale Heating and Air Conditioning is a full service company that includes heating oil delivery, maintenance and repair as well as installation of new equipment. We work on all makes and models of residential heating and cooling systems, whether they are oil fired, gas fired, or electric forced air. We service and install hydronic heating systems (boilers) as well. Glendale is a third generation family business that has been in the South Seattle area for over 60 years. We excell at taking care of our customers, and we look forward to being of service to you!

History

Established in 1938.

Glendale started as a coal delivery service in the 1930’s and then became an oil delivery company in the 1950’s. Since then we have grown to meet the needs and expanding expectations of our customers, while maintaining the quality control of a small business.

Talking to people who have allowed us to come in to their home year after year, sometimes home after home, gives me great satisfaction. We have been dealing with Glendale for over a year now. They have repeatedly told us we needed services that made no difference in our home, tried to upsell and take advantage. Both winters our furnace has gone out and they have had to come out at least 3 times to actually get the problem fixed. Both winters. Both christmases we went without heat and we have a 1 year old baby. The receptionists are extremely snotty and not helpful and act as if they are doing you some kind of favor even though they repeatedly send out men who can’t do their job. Right now its 30 degrees and glendale left our house a few hours ago. After spending 200 last weekend for a clogged duct and 200 today on an oil fill… we still have no heat. Highly recommend finding a different company to work with. This place is awful.

Great honest service. Had one big name heating company come out when my furnace wouldnt turn on and told me we needed a new furnace. Called glendale. They came out they day. Changed the battery in our thermostat and it works fine.

My husband and I needed a new furnace so we reached out to Glendale as well as 3 other companies for quotes. The person who came out looked at our furnace and told us to pick 3 furnaces from a larger list that we wanted to get quotes on. We know nothing about furnaces and the sales rep did not explain it at all. My husband chose three units to get a quote on and the rep left. We were told we would receive a quote same day (our appt was early AM) but didn’t get one until the following evening. I wanted to see three additional furnace quotes so I reached back out via email to the sales rep within hours of receiving the initial quote. I NEVER heard back (it has been over a week now). I got the feeling that they didn’t want our business anyway when they seemed annoyed that we were getting quotes from other companies. Needless to say, we have chosen a different company to install out furnace and probably won’t reach back out to Glendale in the future.

Completely satisfied! I was skeptical after reading all the other reviews, but they were sent out by Fidelity National Home Warranty. Yuri was the technician. Within minutes he had my furnace up and running, but showed me the motor, which was running out life. He explained that it would be a day or two to get the part, Thursday at the latest (this was Monday). It is Tuesday and Glendale returned, replaced and fully serviced the furnace. Very happy with their professionalism, the technician’s work, and the fact I have heat again all within less than 48 hours.

My furnace’s water tank started leaking and it needs to be repaired and I needed to have it done before winter. I contacted my home warranty company (Fidelity National Home Warranty) but they could only dispatch this furnace company. I’ll never give them another chance so I searched on Unilocal and found another furnace service company that has a good rating. They fixed the issue on water tank, and said that the overheating problem is just a matter of gas /​oxygen flow control and can adjust it FOR FREE. The device to detect the percentage of gas /​oxygen is expensive and I guess Glendale Heating and Air Conditioning Company doesn’t want to pay for it, so they made up some ridiculous excuse and charged me more.

I would give them zero stars if I could. Furnace went out. The area around the furnace was hazy, and we smelled oil. We were very concerned about our safety. My husband called to make an appt. They told him they would be here «in a few hours». It was a Saturday, so we were prepared to pay overtime. My husband stayed home all day, waiting for the technician. They did not come. We cancelled the appt. late that evening, after having waited all day. We got a message the following Monday (10:48 am) stating that «the technician did not get the service call page» and the answering service «did not get her the message». No thanks, Glendale. We have many other options.

Made an appointment a week and a half ago for furnace maintenance. They left a message the day before which I did not get. They never called me again the morning of nor did they ever show up. When I called, they said they have too many people with no heat. I say they should have scheduled those around my appointment.

We just had a new heating system installed in our home. From the initial contact to having their sales rep Debra to having their installers Ryan, Brian and Jason to our home for the installation they were very professional. Debra answered all of our questions and was patient with us when we asked her to research different heat systems for us. Ryan, Brian and Jason spent an entire day at our home doing the installation, they were very nice young men, very professional and worked hard all day. They were thorough in showing us how to use the new system and when they left our home they cleaned up after themselves. They left no trace that they were even at our house. We made the right decision to use them.

My Honeywell unit went out right before Christmas. It was below freezing outside and even colder inside my house. I had a couple spendy estimates, so I called Glendale. Not only did they have the best service and price to begin with, in the end they determined that the defective parts were under warranty saving me hundreds.
Honest, open and people of integrity. Don’t wait, hesitate or miss the date. CALL GLENDALE!

A great honest company with professional values and solid skills. They came out right away to fix my gas fireplace that other companies had claimed «needed to be replaced». They are working me in to repair my furnace as well and seem on top of the order. They were on time and very friendly.

After having my appointment completely screwd up by Brennan Heating, I called my next local service, Glendale Heating, and will be a customer for life. The service tech, Kelly, was very professional and knew his stuff, showed me a potential problem and performed the maintenance. He was ON TIME and the price was fair. Do not hesitate to use this service.

My furnace stopped working while the brief snow was here over Thanksgiving. It took over a week to get an appointment without being charged emergency rates. The person showed up, was here less than 15 minutes, told me the filters were clogged. Charge — $ 125.00. When I questioned why it was so much his response was «I don’t make the rules. You got a service call».
Glendale definately gets their pound of flesh from their customers. They’re the only company that’s worked on my furnace since 1996. Guess repeat business doesn’t mean anything. The last time they were here I saw that they have stopped itemizing their bills for parts and labor. When I called the office I was told if I didn’t like I could call somebody else. I’ll definately never call them again.
