Our house had existing lines for a mini-​split, but the lines were difficult to find and access. Greenwood did a great job patiently locating the lines and working with and around our constraints. The installer, Bob D., was experienced, confident, and communicated very well throughout the process.

Being transplants to Sammamish from the hot Southwest, having air conditioning was a must have in our new house. The furnace in the house was also prehistoric and in need of replacement, sounded like a 737 from Boeing field was taking off when it turned on.
We turned to Greenwood Heating after comparing their quote to Costco. Greenwood matched the Costco offer and slightly beat their price. The sales process was very professional and effective.
Due to the size of our house, 3 days of installation were scheduled for a new furnace and A/​C install. We had the pleasure of Gerald R and Justin W as our Service Pros (they need to be added to ReviewBuzz!). These guys were extremely professional and courteous — always calling us «sir», «mam», and taking their shoes off when entering our house. Their work was very clean and they made sure everything would pass inspection without issue. We also really appreciated beyond words that they stayed very late on the 2^nd day to prevent the 3^rd day from being necessary (8:30 AM — 9:30 PM)!
Thus far (1 hour), we are emphatically satisfied with the new furnace!

Rudy and Jim did a great job installing our ductless air conditioning system. They went the extra mile to redo the exterior ducting so that it looks as unobtrusive as possible, and Jim even reconstructed my daughter’s bookshelf below the new AC unit after it had to be sawed in half. They were friendly and cheerful with my kids, dog, and visiting mother, and I would recommend them to all my friends.
Another big plus was that the Greenwood bid was 40% cheaper than another bid from a different company.
Now, let the hot summer begin!

I cannot recommend Greenwood highly enough. We first contacted them in 2014, but weren’t able to find a suitable A/​C solution for our house until 2016, thanks to some extra investigation by my husband. Year after year, Greenwood worked with us to try and find a way to get a permitted A/​C installed, which wasn’t easy given our footprint, but their patience paid off. They were always very helpful, professional and responsive. When the crew came out to do the work, they worked fast, cleaned up perfectly and certainly heard all of our many requests. The project leader, Juan, was also terrific about explaining every feature of our new system to us and very patient with my many questions. Additionally, their electricians, As You Wish, did a terrific job and were among the friendliest contractors with whom I’ve had the pleasure of working. From start to finish, this was a terrific project.
Making it even more excellent, we had earlier received a quote from another company and were told several reasons why an A/​C for us would be a messy and expensive ordeal, requiring us to not only replace our existing furnace, but also suggesting we would have to have conduit cable wrapping around half of our house — very ugly, indeed. Neither of these things were true and Greenwood proved it.

We had two Mitsubishi ductless heating/​cooling units put in. The process was very easy. Bob D. and his crew did the installation and arrived on time and was very professional. I was very impressed that there was no indication of the work that had gone on as he and his crew were very careful to clean up. They were also very friendly with my dog! The project was done fairly quickly and considering the amount of work that had to be done, it was fairly quiet. After the install, Bob made sure to walk through the operation of the units with me and made sure that I didn’t have any questions or concerns about the installation.
I would highly recommend Bob and Greenwood Heating & Air Conditioning.

I just had a new a/​c unit put in after mine died last summer. The sales process (ROD) was easy. There was no pushing or upselling. Rod answered all my questions and never made me feel stupid for asking what I felt were basic questions.
The day of install went smoothly. They crew, Rudy M. and Jim were professional and friendly. They chatted with my 3 year old who was fascinated with what they were doing and they tolerating us both buzzing around.
At one point, I was doing yard work and they moved all the big branches and put them in my yard waste. They truly went above and beyond. I would without a doubt use Greenwood again and I would refer them to others.

I’m a big fan of Greenwood Heating and A/​C. I’ve interacted with them in Home Depot, where they’ve answered questions and provided good information about where to get filters for our abnormally sized return vent installed by another company in the Seattle area.
They’ve always been very friendly and walked through our full information about what was done installing our A/​C unit. I’m sure I’ll use them in the future.

I had Greenwood Heating and AC replace an old single stage gas furnace with a multi-​stage Lennox back in 2011. They did a great job on the install and have taken care of the annual maintenance and check-​ups and have been very professional throughout.
Just this month, for the first time, I called for a service call as the unit was not pushing out hot air. Elliot B came out the same day. The problem was due to a known issue and was fixed with an upgrade kit. It doesn’t hurt that the unit came with a 10yrs parts and labor warrantee!
I have no problem recommending Greenwood Heating and AC to anybody that needs heat or AC service or installs.

Imran was fantastic — prompt, helpful and patient, knowledgeable and extremely thorough. I’d call him again in a heartbeat!

I worked with Rod M. to get an installation quote. He showed me the cost of the installation and assured me that the cost shown would be the final cost, regardless of any overruns that may be involved. Living in the Seattle City Light boundary, he and the company worked with them directly to get the rebate I was eligible for ($ 1200!) so that I could get the rebate taken off the final price. (And not have to wait 6 – 8 weeks for the rebate check.)
Bob D and crew did a great job of installing the ductless heating system in the house. In addition, they took all the duct work and electric furnace out. Installation of all equipment was top notch. Everything was completed in the time that it was scheduled for. They took the time to make sure the equipment was working properly before they left. Bob show me how everything worked once they were finished. Thank you!
FYI– The first yearly service for the ductless heating system is included in the contract also.

Trevor R (Advisor), Kevin A (Sales Mgr) Justin H (PM), Marco B (Install coordinator) and Sean B & his crew (Installer) from Greenwood Heating are rockstars. I interviewed four companies (two Mitsubishi resellers, one Lennox reseller and one independent contractor) and had each one of them provided me a bid independently before inking the deal with Greenwood. Our ductless heating/​cooling application was two 9K BTU head units plus a 20K BTU outdoor unit. Greenwood Heating was by far the most knowledgeable, most responsive and attentive among all. The assessment/​solution made the most sense and their bid was fair and reasonable. Further, I always got my follow-​up questions answered even on the weekend by the sales mgr and the turnaround time to get everything scheduled was fast.
The whole process from estimation to project management and installation was executed like clockwork and flawlessly. For instance, Justin H (PM), spent an hour onsite clarified all my pre-​install questions and ensured the installers had all technical specifications driven by our requirements. Sean B & his crew (installers) were professional, thorough and courteous. They wore disposable booties the entire time inside the house; they covered our carpet before drilling. When they had to adjust the mount of the head unit slightly to avoid some framing studs they consulted with me first and explained their reasoning. We actually felt bad for them because they had to work in freezing rain during the latter part of the installation.
We’re very satisfied with Greenwood Heating and they never once attempted to up-​sale us anything we didn’t need. At the end of the day, we’re just very impressed by the overall execution and the professionalism demonstrated by the installers. Keep up the good work!

I interviewed three companies before deciding on someone to install my ductless heating and cooling units: Greenwood, Evergreen, and Washington Energy.
At first it seemed like the Greenwood agent was not as apt as the other two I’d met with. He was half an hour late. He did call, but after already being late. While I didn’t care at all, the Greenwood agent did not offer to take off shoes or put on booties, whereas the others did. He also spent less time in my house doing measurements than the others.
So what sold me?
1. They took the time to research my house before coming, so they didn’t need to do a lot of measurements inside, only what they couldn’t gather from public records.
2. They came up with the best solution for my situation. I mentioned financing, so the other companies came up with budget solutions, rather than telling me the right solution and financing options.
3. They were FAR more responsive after the initial appointment. The people from Evergreen Heating NEVER even got back to me with an estimate. The people from Washington Energy responded once, but when I asked for an estimate for a plan similar to the Greenwood plan, they also never got back to me. Greenwood heating worked with me to get all the right options, and the turnaround time was a day or less.
After we decided to go with Greenwood Heating and AC, the installation was great. It was simple on our part. They were very respectful of our house (they did offer to put on booties). I was working most of the days of the installation and they did a fine job even with me absent. The inspector also came through after they left and approved all their work.
Overall, it was a great experience. It definitely wasn’t a flashy as the other companies, but it was the highest quality presented in an honest way.

Donovan and his apprentice were punctual, knowledgeable, and did their job very well. It’s clear that Donovan knows what he’s doing and he knows what he’s talking about, and he works hard to do a good job. Our new heater was installed well, and the two guys handled a pretty major installation job in stride.
Both installers were polite, willing to answer questions, and willing to demonstrate how to use our new equipment several times to make sure we got it. Great work, very nice to work with.
