Elephant Car Wash

Prior to the remodel, I would have rated this place four stars and above in terms of a car wash, but after the remodel it just doesn’t merit it.
This location offers a gas station with moderate prices. It isn’t as cheap as the nearest Fred Meyer or Safeway, but it is decent gas.
The location was closed for remodel for nearly two months and as far as I can tell not many improvements were made. They added in gates so you can auto-​pay for your car wash now, which while it is a nice perk, the software tries to up-​sell you on various add-​ons and other unneeded things. It also doesn’t help with throughput, which was a problem this place had prior to the remodel — wait times would be upwards of an hour to get a completed full service wash in many cases.
My last visit took 52 minutes from purchasing my wash to leaving and there were areas of my car I wasn’t satisfied with. I had some cleaner smudges on the inside, and some residue on one of the handles. I took care of those items on returning to my house. They’re not deal breakers per say, just signs of a rush job which is what happened when the cleaner finally got to my car. (Never mind they had 5 people working and at least that same number standing around watching).
I’ll probably still go here since it is the best wash around that meets what I am looking for, it simply is expensive and time consuming.

Did a great job with my car! I had several bugs on my car from a cross country trip and they took extra time to make sure they got them off.

My experience was fantastic… Quick, professional, excellent attention to detail… no complaints whatsoever. I purchased the «Platinum» package (interior & exterior), complete cleaning, which for the money (roughly $ 30) — is a great value.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone! It’s unfortunate the reviews are wildly contrasting, as my experience was top-​notch!

Not bad but not exceptional
The wax sort of doesn’t come out great so that always makes me mad. The brushes are starting to look pretty ragged. Finish guys work hard!

Don’t bring your car here if you need a premium service.
Paid $ 33.00. Car was dry before anybody got to it. No supervisor around to keep assembly line moving. Service included wheel cleaning… still dirty in corners. And… It took an hour for this!
Come here for basic outside wash as that is done by machines.

Did a good job on my truck but went on my lunch break was told 30 min okay plenty of time took way longer than expected made me late for work.

First time in my life a car wash employee handed me a towel and windex and said «You do inside, I do outside.» Lol!
After I wiped down the inside I got out to see the outside and he practically missed the whole car. So I used the towel he gave me and wiped everything down while he stood and watched. Nice!
Their new slogan should be…
«Come to Elephant Car Wash where you pay us to supervise you wash your own car!» (Thumbs up and a wink)

Paid $ 20 for a VIP exterior wash. They left sap on my windshield, didn’t clean my tires, and the bottom half of my car looks like it still needs to be washed. Super disappointed! They even left streaks on my back window. If I ever go back again, I won’t be leaving without stepping out of my car to look it over.

I have been going to this car wash for the last 2+ years. I think the staff are very nice and I’ve always had a good experience. I think the price is reasonable compared to other car washes. Up North, there is a car wash that charges $ 22+ for just the car wash alone while here I get the silver package which includes exterior and interior cleaning.
My suggestion regarding some of the posts below — don’t leave expensive things in your car that you don’t want thrown away. I think with any business, most people advise for you to remove things that you don’t want moved, thrown away or touched for that matter.
The ONLY thing I would say, which is a complaint for any car wash, would be that my front license plate was bent several times when I went through the car wash.
It’s a great place to get a BRUSHLESS car wash. I have a black SUV and have never used a brush on my car. I want to keep the black looking as good as possible!
A little tip to save some money on the car washes. Valpak usually has a coupon for a couple dollars off and you can add on additional services for $ 2 each (tire wash, tire shine, etc).

I thought I’d be getting great service like the Elephant car wash in Seattle, instead I was disappointed. They didn’t even clean up the dried up spilled smoothie in my back seat and they threw away my expensive hair extensions when I TOLD THEM NOT TO TOUCH THEM but they’ll leave a STRAW !!! I even tipped them $ 20 dollars and completely regret it, I feel extremely Cheated of money. I will never do business with them again. This place is horrible!!!

I’ve been here several times over the last three years with my boss’ cars and have never had a problem. That said, I think the quality of the clean varies. This last time it was great, but the time before it was spotty and they left towels in the back, like maybe they hadn’t finished and forgot. It happens, and compared to the price of a detail, whatever.
That said, the last time I was in, I was waiting inside with other customers and we got this big, long speech from the manager (?) about how hard his guys work and only make $ 9 an hour (basically a push for more tips) and then all the changes he wanted to make. It would’ve been fine if it hadn’t gone on FOREVER when we obviously weren’t interested in listening and if it hadn’t felt like such a sales pitch. Like, dude… we already paid and I will tip accordingly to the service I receive.

Okay so I have been really remiss in keeping up with the cleanliness of my car. My dog my travels with me and is in the car for most of the time.
Needless to say has Jason been buffing the thing out for an hour. Hasn’t bitched. Hasn’t complained. Just smiling and laughing and working his rear off. I’ll spend $ 35+ tip to have an experience like this again and again!

Not great service albeit friendly staff. Many spots missed despite paying for a $ 35 car wash. I doubt I got all the services I asked. Further, I ended up cleaning the spots that were missed and the staff watched instead of doing something. Not good. I don’t recommend this place unless you have no other choices, and in this city, it’s kind of true.

Always great service and everyone is friendly. They make sure that all leave happy and if something goes wrong. They will do everything to make it right. I would tell everyone to come here as they are above other car washes.

STAY FAR FAR AWAY from ELEPHANT CAR WASH @ BELLEVUE.
I went to elephant car wash for full service wash on February 15^th about noon. After the wash I noticed a scratch on the passenger side of my car. I showed it to the service manager. He started scream at me and calling me name in front of other customers.
I’m deeply upset to receive this type of customer service.
DO NOT USE ELEPHANT CAR WASH AT BELLEVUE.

No complaints here. This particular location does a great job. I would normally complain about their high prices, however, I found a workaround (for exterior wash only):
Ask for the ‘Soft Cloth Special’ with the a la carte option. Meaning, you get a discounted car wash for $ 6.99 and you can add options to it for 2 bucks. I usually add wheels and tires. However, you can add ‘tire dressing’ and ‘protectants’ as well.
You’ll need the coupon below. However, I’ve just shown it to them on my phone (just snap a picture so you’ll have it with you every time). Not sure if they made an exception for me, so print the coupon to be safe ;-)

I do not drive much, my almost three year old car has 14k miles, so I admit that I neglect the cosmetic needs of my car as it sits parked most of the time. After this wet winter and much neglect, my car needed a wash, inside and out. Dog parks, hiking trails, snow, rain, mud, sand, crumbs, you name it, my car had it! I would have continued my trend of neglect, but I realized late in the day that I would have people in my car the following morning.
I Googled the closest car wash as I knew Park Place, where I would normally go, has Princess hours and no time for my last minute nonsense. I found Elephant Car wash and a coupon was available for the Super Pink Wash for about $ 24, which equates to the «Gold Wash». I drove up and there was one car ahead of me. It was my turn to go through the automated wash and I was not looking forward to it! I am not a huge fan of dealing with the automated wash and wish they took possession of the car when you drove up. Is that just a Southern California thing? After going through the automated wash I followed the signs and sat in my car for a few minutes. When I looked around, I noticed no one else was sitting in their car — I realized I was supposed to leave my car. There is a little waiting room with some seats and a television to wait in. The room smells like a crowded boys high school locker room, not pleasant!
I started to get antsy when 30 minutes passed, it was taking some time and even though it was sunny, the car wash wasn’t that busy! I saw the same kid was working on my car, so at least it wasn’t forgotten. After a total of 50 minutes, my car was finally done. The kid walked up to me and before I could hand him the tip, he said, if I missed anything, let me know and I’ll take care of it for you. I didn’t bother checking, just the fact that he said this, and the time that he took, told me that he took great pride in his work. This is one of the best car washes I have had since moving to Seattle, including the ones I have received from Park Place!
Reading some of the other reviews when I was in the waiting room had me worried. Maybe the car wash needs to hire more young kids, this one did a great job!

First time going to car elephants car wash. I washed 2 company cars here today. I used to go to brown bear to wash my own car but since the company i work for bought GroupOn coupon that’s why I’m here. Ive been hearing good things about car elephant car wash. The coupon is expired, but it said with the coupon it can reduce total bill minus $ 7.50.
Talked to the lady in the cashier attendant. She said the coupon is just for car wash only, so I upgrade to full package (silver) came with exterior, interior and wheels. Total bill was $ 20.50. She didn’t smile at all, and I was pretty friendly.
Car wash was pretty similar to drive through car wash. But since i got the silver package they clean the inside and the wheels. There is a small warm place to wait while they clean it. The place is little dirty, the chair was pretty old and smelly. Also there is a tv that can be watch while I’m waiting.
There is another attendance (male) he seems pretty nice to the customer if anyone want to change the channel of the tv. He also tell the customer if customer is not satisfied with the cleaning, you can tell the person to clean it more. It seems the worker was Spanish workers and the 2 attendance was Caucasian.
The clean up guys was doing pretty good job. They clean inside and wipes all even the carpet. But I dont think I will come back there, I don’t like the customer service from both attendance, they never smile at all. If you dont like customer service maybe this place for you, but dont expect getting any smile after car wash.

For a ‘silver’ level job, they sure do mediocre work.
They have 7 different wash levels that you can choose from at this place. It ranges from $ 9.50 for just a basic wash to $ 33.99 for the best wash. I opted for the silver wash cause I wanted them to vacuum my car as well. They did a really good job on the interior but the exterior was still dirty, the bottom skirt of my car seemed like it wasn’t washed at all and I had some sap on my car that didn’t come off.
At this place they have an automatic wash so you get to sit in your car and go through all the brushes and the foam, you get the full car wash experience. I would avoid this place though unless your car is extremely dirty, even if you do get it washed here don’t expect a perfect job.
