History

Established in 2008.

Decided to follow his passion and heart, Chef Robert quit his job and joined the Edmonds Community College Culinary Arts Program in Washington States in 2006. Chef Robert graduated with an Associate of Technical Arts degree in 2008 with outstanding achievements. One of his highlights in his education was to be part of the American Pavilion culinary team to serve in the Cannes International Film Festival in France.

After his graduation, Chef Robert decided to continue his career in cooking fine French cuisine; Grapeseed Personal Chef and Catering Company was born.

Milestones:

April 2008 Grapeseed Personal Chef and Catering Co. was founded

May 2009 Started serving crêpes at Bellevue Crossroad Farmers Market on Tuesdays

Aug 2011 Started serving crêpes at Bellevue Farmers Markets on Thursdays and Saturdays

Feb 2013 Company renamed to Grapeseed Catering Co. LLC

We hired Grapeseed Catering to cater our wedding in June of 2014. Robert’s menu was really good and the fact he uses locally sourced meat and produce was compelling. On the night of the tasting, we were able to taste and adjust all the items on the menu. Our dinner included beef tenderloin and salmon and Robert also provided appetizers and drinks for our wedding.
On the day of the wedding I was really amazed at how smooth it all went. The beef tenderloin was a perfect medium rare all through the night. I made sure to take time and enjoy the wonderful delicious food and was blown away at the fact that although it was buffet, the food quality was exactly like the tasting. I received so many positive reviews by many of the guests at the wedding, that this was much better than typical wedding food.
Robert and crew made sure that the drinks were stocked, food was hot and the cake was served. I would highly recommend Grapeseed Catering to anyone. Their level of consistency throughout the dinner service was amazing. the first tray and last tray of salmon was cooked the same — moist and delicious. The beef tenderloin always had medium rare pieces available. There was ample food for guests to go back for seconds. It was one of the highlights of the wedding!

Chef Robert catered a «crepes and champagne» brunch for me and 12 other women laiesy. The food — savory french omelets, sweet crepes — was absolutely fabulous. Chef Robert very easily and graciously made changes to accommodate special requests. Presentation was lovely, too. I would highly recommend Grapeseed Catering and will definitely consider Robert and team for other events in future!

My wife and I used Grapeseed Catering for our wedding in March 2014. Robert (owner and head chef) is a top notch event planner and head chef! Grapeseed took care of everything from start to finish! Everything was perfect on taste testing, planning, day of the wedding, clean up, billing, and follow up. We had the salmon and steak as our main course… and many of the guests thought the salmon was tasty and cooked perfectly! We had a special request to serve Molly Moon’s ice cream and Robert didn’t have a problem to fulfill our request!
You can’t go wrong w this catering company. The service is just wonderful and I am sure Robert will try to exceed your expectation!

We had a great wedding banquet in August. The food prepared by Chef Robert and his team was absolutely one of the highlights. The Grilled Wild Sockeye Salmon was great! My family and my friends loved it. They also took care of everything from table cloth, chair décor, silverware to toasting glass… We did’t have to worry about a thing. Robert also did a good job fulfilling our special request of serving bubble tea during our banquet. He said it was his first time serving it but it turned out great! My guests loved it. Thank you so much Robert!
