Skyline Roofing

We were alerted by our electrician that our ceiling drywall seemed a little damp and he suggested we get some inspections performed to check it out. (Super! Right? Ugh.) Not wanting to have things get any worse, I began to search Unilocal and call around for quotes. One company asked for $ 150 inspection, which they would take some or all off the price of any work performed. That’s nice and all, but I wasn’t really digging the whole foot-​in-​the-​door technique. Nearly everyone else said they only did replacement work and we weren’t sure if that’s what we needed yet. But thanks to you other Unilocalers, I found Skyline Roofing and received a timely response from Greg!
Greg came out within the week to perform an inspection at no cost. He let us know that if there was an issue, he would work with us to find the most practical and cost effective solution. Good news: No roof leaks. Bad news: Our roof was dead. It was an ex-​roof masquerading as a viable roof. We also share our roof with another townhouse, so Greg let us know that it made the most sense for the whole thing to be replaced. Good news: Our neighbor was totally in. (Thank you, neighbor!)
Greg gave us a very detailed and thorough quote outlining all the work that would (and could) be done along with pricing for 30, 40, & 50 year roofs. Though we thought we’d have to wait a month and a half or so before getting the work started due to scheduling, Greg was on top of it and called to let us know someone else cancelled and he could fit our comparatively small job in that week! From the inspection to the completion of the work, Greg was in contact with us every step of the way and had patience in answering any and all questions or concerns that came up. He was great at notifying us of any extra work that came up during the job and discussing practical options with us. Because of his communication, nothing was a surprise on the final invoice. The crew was friendly, which was a nice feeling when coming/​going. The team was also great at separating out any extra work that had to be done on each side of the roof between us and our neighbor. They were really good about clean-​up at the end of each day and Greg even swung by to inspect the final product and make sure the grounds were clean.
TL;DR — We had as good of an experience as you probably could have when your roof needs to be replaced. I’m sure you will too!

We recently got our roof and gutters replaced from skyline. The whole process was very painful to say the least as far as getting bids. Greg was very easy to talk with and was one of the only people who actually called me back after I had questions.
His crew is very friendly and did a good job considering they had to deal with some serious heat that particular week. The roof and gutters looks excellent and it’s a big weight off of our shoulders. His gutter installer actually found a problem with my drainage I didn’t know I had which I have since fixed. Very helpful people.
Would definitely recommend skyline roofing.

We just got our roof replaced with Skyline Roofing and the entire process was great.
Greg was very helpful in answering all our questions and was very detailed in his estimate.
We did have another quote that was slightly lower, but Greg’s knowledge and his teams experience led us to pick them for the work.
The work went smoothly and was completed on time.
I highly recommend giving Greg a call and having him give you a quote and talk to you about your roof.
A note that is obvious but not everyone remembers: Roofing work can be loud. Plan to not be home the entire time if you can :)

My husband and I had a new roof installed over Christmas break, and we’re glad that we went with Skyline Roofing.
We received quotes from several companies, but Skyline Roofing had the most reasonable charges. Greg was not pushy at all and did not try to up sell or install unnecessary items.
I had a hard time trying to decide on a color, but he was very patient and answered all my questions. We went back and forth via email for approximately a week before I finally made up my mind. He took the time to understand what I was looking for and gave recommendations based on what I like.
December was rainy, so we did have to wait for clear weather in order to begin the process. However, once we had a block of good weather, Greg and his team began work and they were finished in no time! The cleanup was done well, and no one trod on our plants.
We had agreed to have the gutters replaced as well, and if I recall correctly, those were done just before New Year. I seem to remember Greg coming to check on the gutter installation early in the morning of January 1^st! It’s been a couple of months now, and we are very happy with our roof and gutters.
We will recommend Skyline Roofing to any of our family or friends without hesitation.

I was referred to Skyline Roofing from a friend who also had a great experience (read Josh W’s review below). From initial contact all the way through job completion and follow-​up, I was given premier customer service!
I had a short timeline to work with due to an upcoming military move. Even though the Oak Harbor area is quite a bit outside of their usual customer base, Greg came out to my property within a day of me contacting him. I had a price quote that same afternoon. His price quote was significantly lower than others I had received; including the quote my insurance company’s contractor gave me for a lesser roof. Additionally, he gave me a military discount and thanked me for my service! Once I gave Greg approval to start the job, he worked me into his scheduled the very next week. The crew was very prompt, professional, efficient, and did excellent work. My roof was complete in a day and a half and the clean-​up was very thorough. You could tell that they took great pride in the final product! I received my final invoice within two hours of job completion and the billing was simple and accommodating.
This company has raised the bar for customer service and satisfaction! As far as I can tell, this company being based out of Bothell (over 80 miles away), is the only reason that any of the inferior roofing companies in Oak Harbor are still in business. If you are in the market for a new roof, it would be reckless to give your hard earned money to anyone else. In a time where quality work and customer service seems to be a dying trend, Greg and Skyline Roofing are a breath of fresh air!

Greg and his crew at Skyline Roofing are hands-​down the most professional and fairest contractors that I have ever dealt with. Skyline’s customer service is a model for any business to emulate and their pricing is amazing for the quality of their craftsmanship and the final product. No one within 75 miles was anywhere near the value of Skyline!
I would hire Greg and his guys again to work any project, any time!
Do yourself a favor and ask them for a bid — there isn’t anyone out there that is better — I looked!

I just moved back to Bothell WA and bought a house. The only issue with the house was the roof needed to be replaced before winter per the inspection. I was very nervous about this but purchased the house as I really loved it.
Once we moved in I made calls for three estimates. Two of the companies came out… did a visual inspection taking about 20 minutes and emailed me an estimate. That made me nervous that they did not check it out thoroughly and «unseen» issues would arise and cost me even more. (All bids were fairly close in price by the way.)
The 3^rd estimate was Gregory Mooney from Skyline Properties. And I must say I was VERY impressed. First of all he showed up on time… and we had a great introduction conversation. Then he immediately went to work and got onto the roof, checked all that needed to be done, and then we chatted for bit. A couple days later I received a professional pricing list for cost of 30, 40 and 50 year roofing estimates, and then a call to back it up.
I decided to go with his company due to his professionalism and the information he provided to me made me feel comfortable, informed, and all inclusive information provided.
The roofers came on the scheduled date and worked efficiently and professionally. The job was completed in 2 days and there was absolutely nothing left behind or any disarray. If they had questions for me while work was being completed (like when I needed to move my car) they were very professional.
So to close… I just want to say I am so pleased to get this project done with such a great team of workers as well and the professionalism from Gregory Mooney! I sleep well knowing I hired a great company and great people to make my house safe and secure AND making it such an easy secure feeling to have completed this project.

Wow, what an experience! We recently had Skyline Roofing replace our roof and gutters and let me tell you, we have never experienced service from a contractor like that before. Let me start off by saying that over the years, we have had many contractors doing work on our home and they have all been for the most part pretty decent, but we have had some sort of hiccup or issue with each one at some point during the project. Wether it was cost overruns, pressure sales by the estimators, delays during the project, the inability to get ahold of the estimator before or during the project or the vague answers to questions that we had. We had zero issues like this with Greg and Skyline Roofing.
We ended up getting three total estimates, but right from the get go Greg seemed to be the most knowledgable, friendly and was the quickest to return any phone calls or emails when we had questions. Their pricing what right on point with the other estimates that we recieved but when talking to Greg, it just seemed that he genuinly wanted to install a really great roof for us, not just complete a project to make a few bucks. In the end we decided on Skyline and boy am I glad we did.

As I mentioned Greg was great throughout the whole process, kept us up to date as to when the project should begin and once it started was right on the money as to what day they would be completed. He called us a couple times during the project to see if we had any questions and to keep us updated (loved that by the way, we have never had a contractor do that for us) and did a very thourough inspection once the project was completed.

The crew was fantastic. They were all very curtious, nice, friendly and very professional (it was evident that they had alot of experience in roofing). My husband went out and talked to them a few times during the project and they were always willing answer any questions that he had. The daily clean– up was far better than I ever imagined it would be which I was very thankfull for because we have two little ones and a dog and the fianl clean– up that they completed the last day of the project left our yard looking cleaner than it was before the project even started.

All in all it was just a great experience. I have already reccomended Greg and Skyline to some friends, family members and a few neighbors. If you are looking to get a new roof or gutters, I would highly suggest that you contact Greg and Skyline Roofing before you make any decisions, you will be glad you did.

We moved into our house a few years ago knowing that our roof had about 3 more years left in its life so we started getting quotes on roofs. We had a number of people come and pitch to us why we needed to use them. We got some outrageous quotes. One came in at $ 20,000 and we have a 1800 sq/​ft house so it seems very high and wanted us to decide THAT night. The sales people were pushy and wouldn’t leave even though it was clear our kids needed to go to sleep! So we were very weary about getting more quotes after that one.
We had a friend recommend Skyline Roofing so we had Greg come over to measure and give us a quote. He was not pushy, always showed up to our appointment times on times, and was so honest from the start to the end. It was so refreshing after the few sales people we had worked with previously. He was not a slimy sales guy! Phew.
Greg was very professional outlining everything we needed to understand about the costing and process of the roofing experience. His quote came in very fair — it wasn’t the highest but it wasn’t the lowest either. He allowed for many options of payment too. He was very transparent and did not act sneaky or trying to trick us into paying more money for something we didn’t need. He would bring us roof samples so we knew what color we wanted and didn’t act annoyed when I had questions ;) (I had many!)
Once the roofing started happening the team was very hardworking. Greg was communicating with us every step of the way. The crew was kind and cleaned up well after themselves. They were taking safety measures on our steep roof too which made me feel better. They didn’t smoke in our yard which was nice since we have kids. It took them 4 days to do our roof and then came a couple weeks later to install custom skylights that needed replacing. It was such a positive, smooth experience. I was so thankful that I felt like we were getting an honest company and they were giving us a fair price.
I would hands down recommend Skyline to our friends and family. Honest, hardworking company!
