Dairy Queen

This was my first Dairy Queen experience! Can’t say I was blown away, but I did really enjoy my cherry dipped cone!
The place is small, clean, and cheery (cherry ?). The service is not exactly warm, but they are polite enough and work quickly. I ordered a small cherry-​dipped cone, after admiring from afar on the Internet. I was so glad this location carried it! The cone was still pretty sizable for a «small». The cherry shell holds well and did not melt at all during consumption. It has the classic fake cherry flavor and is a bright, bright red, but that’s how I like ‘em. The shell snaps satisfyingly with each bite. The vanilla soft serve itself was very airy and not all that great. I’d definitely prefer it to be creamier and thicker. However, with the added novelty of the dip, the cone as a whole was pretty great and definitely but a big smile on my face that day.

The service was really friendly and hard to find sometimes. Really enjoyed the effort they put in to just chat with my mom while we waited for a tire replacement next door.

The twist machine wasn’t working! Is that allowed? Otherwise I guess its what I expect from this classic ice cream shop.
