I was born in Lima-​Peru and as a little kid and teenager took regular trips with my family to the high mountains and rain forest of Peru, and was always amazed by the diversity in animal life.

After graduating from High School I came to the U.S. with a student visa to study Veterinary. The summer I graduated I decided to take a summer job separate from Veterinary. It just happened to be Extermination.

Fell completely in love with the line of work. Applied full time to a small family business which was later bought by a national pest firm. I guess you could say I went from saving and healing animals to killing them.

After a very few years I knew I needed to start my own business to support my young family.

Business is great, there’s never a dull day in pest control and we have the best customers in the world.

Purchased a new home in Brentwood with plenty of construction around us. We have seen spiders, ants and other bugs around the house. Went to Unilocal and read the excellent reviews on Bust A Bug. Called and set up an appointment. Alex P is our tech. He arrived at the promised time and took the time to give us a thorough explanation of what he was going to do. He also took the time to explain the products he was using. All of their work is guaranteed. He was very professional and courteous. We choose the bi-​monthly plan and then will revisit it after all of the construction is completed.
I highly recommend Bust A Bug. Ask for Alex P.

We had mice, lots of mice and the problem was getting worse. We called Alex and he came out and determined the places the mice were getting in. He set traps outside and provided sticky traps for inside. I haven’t seen a mouse nor evidence of one in months. We signed up for their bimonthly service so they come out and knock down the spiderwebs and spray around the house, which has really cut down on the spider population. Alex is great… highly recommended!

I am somewhat delayed in writing this review.
I first contacted Alex last summer (2014) based on reviews here. I had found several holes in the yard of my recently purchased home and wasn’t sure of the source. I just knew as parents with two infants we wanted an eco-​friendly solution to the problem.
Alex answered the phone and offered to come out later in the day for an inspection. We agreed upon a very affordable price and solution. Alex caught two gophers over the course of 2 – 3 months and our yard has remained rodent free!
I’d highly recommend Bust-​A-​Bug and will gladly contact them if we have any future problems. Thanks Alex!

Alex came to our house this week to take care of 2 yellow jacket nests, and we couldn’t be happier with his service.
He fit us in to his schedule as soon as he could, and we found him to be most genial, courteous, and efficient. And of course, no more yellow jackets.

I have been in contact with Alex within this week to inquire on his services. He promptly returns phone calls.
On the day of the appointment, he came in the time frame promised. He immediately presented his business card and introduced himself. (I usually ask for identification with anyone. but he was on the ready!!)
He took care of our problems (mainly spiders and ants). So far he explained that if any problems occur after a week to give him a call.
I am very pleased with his initial service and will maintain to keep his service on the long run.
Alex is professional, prompt and courteous. He is a wealth of information. Good to know these things!

They go the extra mile to rid our home of cobwebs, wasp nests, and address any issue about which we may be concerned. I just bought a new house with my fiancée in Brentwood, and after a couple months it seemed as though we were overrun with spiders! I caught a wolf spider right outside my front door, and when I squashed it hundreds of little baby spiders ran off of its back! Then the next day my fiancée got bit by a black widow. This was the final straw, I found Bust a bug on Unilocal because my neighbor went with a different company and he wasn’t satisfied at all. This is when I called Bust-​aBug and found out their amazing prices! I scheduled them to come and spray, and they started by just doing the outside. A week later, when I had time, they came again and sprayed the inside of the house. On the second visit they resprayed the outside for me and laid mouse traps in the garage (actually caught a mouse 2 hours after they left!). On the second visit I was talking to Alex, who I believe is the owner. He was extremely nice, and explained to me how were I live I will get a lot of spiders and mice because of the new development, the open fields, and the construction. He also assured me he guarantees his work and told me I shouldn’t ever hesitate to call him if I find more bugs or mice, as he will come out again free of charge. Alex was extremely nice and knowledgable. It has been a couple weeks since the second spraying, and I have to say that it seems as though there are no bugs! Overall his product works better than I could imagine, he has great customer service, he is extremely knowledgeable, and he is extremely cost effective! I couldn’t imagine a better service or price!

I recently had service done by Bust A Bug and I have to admit, it was top notch!!! Due to our work schedules, we needed something done on the weekend but unfortunately, he doesn’t have enough client volume yet to sustain that but offer to come out when I got home from work. He arrive right on time, not early and not late… he did his prep, looked at what needed to sprayed and went around spraying. He was done in no time, he went over with me what he actually did and then mentioned that rain was in the forecast but we should be fine and see a decrease in the insects but if for some reason we saw some, just to call and he’d come right back out. We went on a maintenance package with him so he’d come out every other month, he was the least expensive out of all of them but his service was impecable… he explained everything and offered to come back and no charge if needed between services… THIS IS CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I had their tech mike do an inspection at my house after getting rats in the attic again. Not only did he eliminate the problem but showed me where they were getting on my roof and into my attic. I am amazed after using other local companies how through mike was compared to the service I revived from other companies I have used. I highly recommend this company.
