While it says here that they serve Brooklyn and surrounding area, they told me they don’t servce souther part of Brooklyn, I’m in Brighton Beach.

If you tried the rest, now try the best. They are the experts. I used them to hardpipe my dehumidifier into my sump pump. Now my basement is as dry as the Sahara desert! They are punctual, honest, clean, efficient, smart, thorough, etc etc. Prices very fair.

I talked with Dovi this morning and he was here about two hours later. It took him 15 minutes to identify the source of our toilet leak, fix it/​replace the problematic part, swipe my credit card, and leave.
It’s not fun parting with $ 160, especially since it turned out to be a simple issue, but it would have taken me hours to do what Dovi did (isolate the problem, buy the relevant part, do the replacement) myself.

These guys are so great.
They came out to us last minute (we called day of), and they did a good, clean job on our leaky sink. They also had to replace a few valves under the sink, and I was grateful to have professionals working on our 100+ year old pipes.
They gave me a fair price, and I am going to have them return in a few weeks when I have our bathroom vanity replaced.

This company is a fraud! They are not licensed to do ANY TYPE of plumbing and heating work in NYC or any where else, if you let these ppl in your house you could get a violation for not having a licensed plumber doing the work. Pls beware!

Called these guys Wednesday morning and left a message inquiring about cost and services. Within an hour, they called me back, and within 3 hours they were here and working on it.
Total came to $ 299 for about 30 minutes of service on my bathroom and kitchen sinks. Is that expensive? I don’t know anything about plumbing pricing and services, but I know that my bathroom and kitchen sinks are now fully functional and no longer flooding. I also know that Dovis was super friendly and accommodating. I felt like he cared about doing a good job for me.
Would recommend them to anyone.

When I first called Dovi after seeing all the 5 star reviews on Unilocal I was a bit apprehensive. I wondered «How can anyone get so many 5 star reviews?» and «Could they all be legitimate?» Well, after my experience with Dovi and seeing what a superb job he did, I now have my answer and am adding my own 5 star review.
We had multiple plumbing problems involving the bathroom sink, tub, and toilet. Dovi corrected all of the problems in a highly professional manner, not rushing, and making sure that all the work was done correctly. Some examples: Dovi reconfigured the pipes in the vanity under the sink and installed new pipes of high quality (as distinct from the inferior quality, now corroded, pipes installed by our previous plumber). Similarly, Dovi snaked the main line leading to the tub in a careful manner such that the tub drain (which had been slow) now works beautifully (with much better results than those produced by multiple plumbers in the past). My wife says that when she now takes a shower, she feels like she’s in a hotel.
In the future, we will be calling Dovi for all our plumbing needs.

After checking the department of buildings for «Dovi’s plumbing» we have found they are not listed as a licensed plumbing firm… please be aware.

if they do work in your house and you have a problem and cause damage, their insurance and your insurance companies will not cover any loss becuase you and they broke the law by doing plumbing without a license in nyc… there is a very specific plumbing license in nyc… not a dept of consumer affairs home improvement license… this is a nyc/​nys

I think this will go down as truly unbelievable and the worst overall customer service I have received
Great service to begin where they turned up immediately on a Sunday to investigate the problem. From there it got progressively worse. Never returned back to my place to fix the problem, didn’t even return my calls. I was so taken back by this I thought I would see how long this would continue — it was over 3 weeks before the owner answered and then said he would call back — I’m still waiting on his return call 3mths later

There was a small appointment SNAFU so I expected poor service.
I was very pleasantly surprised.
I don’t know much about plumbing but I can tell when someone knows what they are doing rather than fumbling around.
They were organized, professional, courteous and most importantly to me methodical while answering all my questions. I appreciated how thorough they were and how they let me know I would need to replace some other piping in about a year or so.
Can’t really say much else about them. Use them, they’re great.

I don’t write reviews on Unilocal often (I have only one other review), so you know this one means a huge lot for me (and hopefully every prospective inquiry).
My central heating boiler stopped working a few days before an impending temperature drop. It was a Sunday afternoon, 3ish, and I went with the 1^st, non-​sponsored business. The owner, not only got two of his guys to come by within 2 hrs, but hearing that I had already attempted to fix the boiler myself, offered a non-​weekend rate.
After about 30 minutes and a new heating valve (not overcharged) installation, my place began to feel less like Antartica.
Highly recommended for their honest work, punctual timeline, and friendly workers.

I was suspicious to see that every reviewer gave Dovis 5 stars but decided to give them a call anyway. The first time I called the phone just rang and rang-​no one answered, no voice mail picked up. So I checked the number (i had it right) and called back. This time someone answered. He simply said hello. I asked if this was the plumber. He said yes… silence. So I said, Um, I need a plumber. He asked where I lived, I told him my neighborhood and asked if he wanted my exact address. He asked if I wanted the work done today, I told him as soon as possible. He then asked if he could call me back in 20 minutes to make the appointment and that it could probably be scheduled for tomorrow. I said sure. He never called back.
Methinks those 5 star reviews are fakes.

This past week was crunch time in the office. The plumbing issues at home was really not helping the situation. I Googled plumbing services in Brooklyn and Unilocal was one of the first options, so I hopped on it and saw Dovis Unilocaling reviews. I was hesitant to call on Sunday, thinking that they’re probably too busy to see me this week but a very nice gentleman answered the phone and set me up for a Tuesday appointment (this morning). It happened to be Dovi who showed up promptly at 9am to take a look at my sink leak. I don’t know much about plumbing but Dovis really helped me understand what the issue was, where it most likely originated from and how to resolve it in the best way. He told me I needed a certain pipe replaced which he might have in the truck. Sure enough he came back a couple minutes later and installed the piece where there on the spot!
The process was so sweet for a service company, especially for a plumbing job. I figured with such a professional experience, he would surely make me pay for it. But considering i was paying out of pocket, i found his pricing very reasonable for the nature of the job.
Dovis was delightful and professional to deal with from start to finish and I will definitely refer him to friends and family in the neighborhood.
All I got to say now is… Dovi… you’re #1 in a number 2 business ;)

I came home from a 24 hour shift, and soon became aware of a distant slow dripping sound. I located the puddle on the first floor, and then found the larger puddle on the second floor, with water seeping behind the paint and the tile wall, coming down from the ceiling. This was an area that had seen water entry before, and we had never been able to ascertain the source, despite multiple visits by various plumbers and general contractors.
I called my usual plumber, who assured me that they could get someone out next week, which was obviously unacceptable. Holding my breath, I Unilocaled to see if I could get someone out that day (I was supposed to leave out of town the following morning). The first plumber that came up was Dovis, who seemed to have impeccable reviews. I called and explained my emergency. He told me he’d get someone out ASAP, and that he’d call me with a time frame. 45 minutes later he called to say he’d be there in 30 minutes. He arrived when he said he would, was well spoken and professional. Diagnosed the cause of the leak in around four minutes or so, and had it fixed in around 15 minutes. Then he took some time to discuss unrelated plumbing issues with me, and answered questions I had about replacing my hot water heater (it’s time) and thermostat.
He was knowledgable and thoughtful, and listened carefully before answering (a rare skill, indeed!). Under the emergency circumstances, he could have ripped me off, but his charge was completely fair, particularly considering the very rapid service he provided me in an emergency. Needless to say, he will be the professional I go to for replacing the thermostat and the hot water heater. Highly recommended!

Dovi’s was GREAT! We have not had the best experience in the past with other plumbers, but I am more then willing to take my time out to recommend this company to anyone looking for an honest and efficient plumber.

I called a few plumbers and most didn’t seem trustworthy and knowledgeable. I reached Dovi’s plumbing on the first ring and he was able to explain what needs to be done.
I have two hot water heaters and one broke. He installed a shut off so that in the future either one can be turned off if in need of repair and he replaced the broken one. All of the work was completed the next morning after I called.
Excellent service, timely and very fairly priced. I highly recommend this company.

I can’t speak highly enough about my experience with Dovi.
Our water heater had been having trouble for months. We had a different plumber come in, but with no luck. We called 311, and they were no help. 311’s tactics actually made the problem worse.
After all this, we found Dovi’s online. Right away, Dovi was able to tell us what the problem was (something nobody else had been able to do yet). Within hours, we had our water heaters replaced, something that can often take a few days. He gave us excellent informed advice about what options were going to save us the most money down the line, and he was friendly and speedy. I’m coming to Dovi every time.

As a contractor, I have a pretty good sense of what to look for in a tradesperson, and what to run from. Dovi has it all. He speaks knowledgeably about his trade, understands complex problems, is clean and efficient, and can handle sudden changes.
I had Dovi solve a difficult problem with some existing plumbing in my bathroom. There were specific aesthetic and material requirements, I had already built a third of the project and wanted what I’d built kept, we were shutting down water supply to an entire apartment complex on a time limit, and best of all, I was going to be in the next room the entire time the work was happening. Dovi handled it easily. My bathroom looks great.
No surprises, no mistakes, no change orders. First class, five stars.
