I just had the most wonderful experience with Flipping Vintage.
It all started when I walked in to the store and was greeted by the most chill little dog I’ve ever met. Then continued with finding the dresser I’ve been looking for all my adult life (— design nerd here). And ended with a patient and friendly sales/​delivery interaction with Joshua. Not only did he give me an extremely fair price for the gorgeous piece I purchased, he accommodated and worked around my hectic and tight schedule for delivery.
I wholeheartedly recommend him and his team to anyone who is interested in finding unique and beautiful furniture.

A candy store for a midcentury furniture lover! The shop is beautiful and filled with unique and amazing vintage treasures. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful and the owner Josh is a talented interior designer and refurbisher.

Flipping Vintage is one of the best spots in all of Brooklyn or Manhattan for high quality vintage furniture at very reasonable prices. They always have a large selection of Mid Century Modern pieces especially, and the cleaning /​refurbishing that they do to update the furniture is top notch. The owner, Josh, is lovely and will work with you to make sure your furniture arrives exactly when needed.
Whether you’re a designer/​decorator or just a home enthusiast, it’s a must-​go! They also have a website, a Facebook page, and sell on Etsy and Krrb.

Josh’s store is clean and well organized and full of terrific pieces, which are well taken care of and beautiful. He was incredibly helpful and knowledgable. Flipping Vintage offers a a token tape measurer in case you forget to bring one. This place beats out other similar design stores. If you haven’t yet, take a look!

I had a very positive experience buying a dresser here. Josh is friendly, knowledgable, and very accommodating. My fiancée and I couldn’t be more pleased with the dresser we bought, it’s gorgeous and Josh offered it to us at a very fair price. We live a few doors down from the store and he wrapped the dresser up in blankets and helped me carry it to my door! I will buy from Flipping Vintage again.

I purchased two gorgeous pieces here and was utterly floored by the quality and service I received. Josh was very helpful and accommodating over the phone and in person. He and Sal took great personal care to ensure that my pieces arrived quickly and safely.
Everything in their store is stunning and very affordable, considering the era and craftsmanship of each piece.
To put it another way, after living with my new furniture for about a half hour, I decided that I would scrap all of my terrible BoConcept and West Elm crap so that I could make room for more Flipping Vintage!

Joshua is amazing! I was looking for an interior designer who could help my elderly in-​laws move from a three bedroom walk-​up to a one-​level one bedroom. After 80+ years, they had A LOT of furniture and insisted on moving all of it to the new apartment. Since my in-​laws’ flip phones have no Internet, I found Joshua on Unilocal for them and asked if he could please help two great people by designing their new space with their old furniture. Joshua designed two great floor plans, incorporating all the pieces. Joshua is not only a great designer; he is a very kind man. When my in-​laws packed the design plans in one of their 40 moving boxes, Joshua bailed them out by sending me the plans so I could send them to the movers. He saved their move and they are thrilled. Thank you Joshua!

We were looking for a dresser and we live a couple blocks away but never thought we’d find an affordable piece of vintage furniture that we liked so close. Josh was amazing and extremely accommodating. We are already looking for other things we can buy from him!

I can’t recommend this place enough. Josh is wonderful, his pieces are special, and the prices are so reasonable. So glad we found Flipping Vintage and will definitely be buying from them again!

This is a gem of a place with a great selection of interesting, unique pieces and a positive, warm atmosphere. Josh was super nice and patient with us despite the fact that we had our mischievous two year old in tow. HIGHLY recommend this store for beautiful home furnishings and décor. We seriously wanted to leave with EVERYTHING.

I originally purchased a China hutch here through Chairish, and while the service was good, I wish I’d just come in to Flipping Vintage in person. I came by in person a few weeks later to check out other pieces since I was so happy with the hutch, and their showroom is lovely. Josh is incredibly helpful — I was interested in finding a dresser, and he emailed me a pdf with images, prices, and dimensions of all their dressers (including ones at an off-​site warehouse, so their selection is much bigger than the showroom suggests). Everything in the store is gorgeous as well, all items are either well-​kept or beautifully restored. I’d especially recommend it if you’re into mid-​century modern, they have an amazing selection.

Stopped in briefly but unfortunately didn’t purchase anything, they have beautiful pieces! Staff was extremely helpful.

A simply wonderful place owned by lovely people. I was walking around the neighborhood with my sister and saw a beautiful nightstand outside and, upon inquiry, was told it had just been sold, but that there were similar pieces downstairs (yes, there’s a downstairs in addition to the impressive first floor!). Upon inspection, I found several nightstands, each uniquely beautiful and all at amazing prices. All were hand carved in the 1950s, and were between $ 180 – 230. Similarly sized and detailed nightstands at cookie-​cutter major retailers can be as much as $ 600, have more than likely been made and/​or assembled by machines, and have absolutely nothing in the way of character. There is no comparison: if you are looking for beautiful furniture or art for your home for a good price and wish to be treated like a king or queen, come here, you will not be disappointed!
I could not recommend Flipping Vintage or its owners, Josh and Sal, more highly: they are mensches of the first order. As my sister and I were figuring out the logistics of how to carry the nightstand home, Josh immediately wouldn’t hear of it and offered to deliver the nightstand himself – he was too kind. Josh has an obvious passion for design and aesthetics and is an extremely talented interior designer. After talking with him for a bit while paying for my nightstand, I learned that he travels many miles to select and bring choice pieces to his workshop where he refurbishes, reupholsters, and retouches his finds with love and meticulous care.
Stopping in and talking to Josh and Sal was a delightful Sunday afternoon detour. I love my nightstand and am so happy this gem of a shop is in our neighborhood!

Josh does a beautiful job taking care of and restoring his vintage pieces. He clearly has a fantastic eye. We had exceptional customer service and he was very attentive to our needs. We lucked out working with Josh.

Joshua and his team did an exceptional job restoring an old and very worn mid century coffee table. What he delivered back to us completely exceeded our expectations, bringing up the colors and grain in the wood beautifully. We were so pleased with the results we ended up at his store in Williamsburg a few days later to purchase 2 chairs we saw on his website. Fantastic quality and finishes throughout the store with vintage pieces restored in a tasteful way. Highly recommend!

Josh is a real pro. He was quick to respond to my first email about getting a mid century piece re upholstered. He invited me in for a consultation during which I immediately trusted Josh’s opinion on color on style.
A few days later, Josh picked the piece up from my apartment in Manhattan. During his short visit, Josh looked at my apartment and got an idea of what he thought would look best on my chair and ottoman. About 10 days later, he delivered the masterpiece.
Was extremely happy with the quality, work and style. Josh is reliable and a great communicator. Would recommend doing business with him!

Josh is just an amazing interior designer. I have never been to his store. My Gosh. He is, room by room, transforming my Park Slope brownstone into a showcase home. He respects (and knows a lot about) its heritage and Landmark status and is using his unbelievably deep skill set to select new fabrics, save couches where he can, replace lighting where we need to and otherwise execute a brilliant remake of my 1895 home. Josh is wonderful to work with — he listens well; he moves quickly; he takes my opinions seriously (and often convinces me I’m wrong, in the gentlest and most lovely way). He has a deep reserve of talent upon which to call (painters, wood refinishers, lacquer specialists, lighting experts, electricians, handymen, construction engineers). It’s unlike anything I’ve experienced. He is a consummate professional. And when something goes awry, he not only apologizes, he rapidly fixes the issue. What a charming and talented young man. Get him now before he becomes the super-​talent he is destined to become and is remodeling homes on Fifth Avenue.

Walked by this shop and was elated when I walked in and discovered what a gem it was! I’m a frequent design shopper and I’m always perusing stores for the perfect table, console, lamp, etc. The owner/​designer has tastefully brought back to life vintage pieces and has a vast selection of fabrics to customize your perfect upholstery piece. I prefer vintage to new because of quality, character, and the uniqueness factor. Fabulous selection of original art by local artists when your walls need some life. This spot is much needed addition to the Williamsburg home décor shopping scene! The owner does interior design too. One stop shop.
