Meredith is an absolutely incredible photographer and an all-​around lovely person! I met Meredith at the animal shelter where she devotes so much of her time volunteering. After seeing some of her amazing work, I hired Meredith for an informal family photo session (family = couple + pup) and the results blew me away! First, let’s talk about Meredith and pets. She just… gets them, which translates into amazing photographs and an all-​around fun time for everybody. Now onto people. If you want to look like your very best, glowing, natural, happy, non-​stuffy/​posed self, get this woman to photograph you. She really does bring out the best in everybody, and the quality of her work is truly exceptional. On top of all of that, Meredith is laid-​back, super sweet, professional and fun. Absolutely zero sales pressure, she really just wants her clients to be happy. The very BEST!

It was the BEST photography experience my husband and I (and our two bulldogs) ever had. She was such a loving and happy person to be around. The day of the shoot was so much fun. When the photos were ready to review, she came over and went through each photo with us. I loved every photo she shot, it was amazing. And when she brought over our albums and other items, we were very impressed. I couldn’t have wished for more. Meredith is the BEST~!!!

We absolutely loved working with Meredith and our highest recommendations! Meredith is very talented photographer and was able to capture beautiful pictures of my baby girl at 6 month age and our handsome English Bulldog. She does beautiful job behind the camera and captures very precious moments and great with dogs. Very good communicator and did an excellent job preparing us for the photoshoot as well as afterwards ordering. We will definitely have Meredith back for many more sessions.

Meredith is a force behind the camera. She understands her cameras perfectly. More importantly she knows how to read a family and makes the session super fun. Our session was at times calm and peaceful but then the kids were jumping on the bed and there was a dance party. She leads when she needs to and follows like a champ. I highly recommend Meredith for your family shots. She’s the best!

Another reviewer wrote, I don’t even know where to start, and I feel the same! Meredith is amazing. She’s a super talented photographer, yes, but also super talented at helping you feel beautiful and comfortable in front of the camera. She helped me pick out outfits for different looks, she had a badass makeup artist who made me look great, and she really captured «me» in just the way I wanted to be seen. Looking at the pictures between shots, I literally couldn’t believe the photos were me. I looked good. I looked comfortable. I looked like the best version of me I’ve ever seen. Even if I didn’t need professional head shots for my business, I would still hire Meredith all over again just for helping me see myself in her photos! She’s professional and kind, and a few weeks after the shoot, sent the images to me online on a user-​friendly site so I could share with friends/​family/​web designer, and get their feedback. She also sent me a USB with all the image files. I can’t recommend Meredith highly enough. She’s a superstar of a woman, and a true professional photographer. If you’re looking for shots of yourself, your kids (or your dog!!), hire Meredith. She will exceed your expectation in every way!

I don’t even know where to start. Meredith is simply amazing. Her work is the result of the time and care she takes with each of her clients. My son adores her. My husband and I adore her. It’s clear in every photo she took of him, and I can’t begin to explain how fantastic it is to see that come through in his eyes in these photos.
My son has autism. To see the photos from Meredith’s session with him, you’d never know it. Crystal clear eye contact, filled with emotions, thoughts, silliness — I’m not saying the photos «hide» his autism in any way, nor would I ever want to squelch his quirkiness — what I’m saying is that HE comes through; his spirit, his personality. Meredith was able to capture who he is at heart, and that is something so rare when his dad or I take pics of him ourselves.
She makes it such a comfortable experience, and never makes you feel rushed or like another client is coming in ten minutes. The session is just a really fun time, and never ever feels fake or contrived.
A great photo isn’t about what’s on the outside, trust me. Trust Meredith!

I saw Meredith’s work via a mutual friend and was instantly smitten. While it can be tough to tell the difference between a pretty photograph and a revealing portrait, the shot Meredith took captured the essence of my friend. It was warm, inviting, and totally characteristic. I feel the same way about her shots of me. Meredith walked me through the process and talked me off my ledge more than once. She encouraged me to meet her via Skype before setting up a session, provided a comprehensive (and totally delightful) preparation manual, spent 5+ hours on the shoot, and hooked me up with a great makeup artist, several locations, and a much-​needed espresso break halfway through. She listened to what I hoped for and drew me out on a limb when necessary. She’s also amazing in post-​production, winnowing you down to ~100 of the best shots, which she provides in all formats via an on-​line gallery and a DVD. For me, Meredith’s culling gave me stressless choices between tons of great shots. Plus, she’s immediately accessible via email whenever I’ve wanted to see other looks in a similar frame or had questions about rights, retouching, etc. She’s a sterling photographer who really comes alongside her subjects. It’s been a joy to work with her!

I went to Meredith to take head shots for work. I actually chose her based on her photos of kids (I’m an adult), because they seemed full of life versus staged. Meredith was amazing to work with — she puts you right at ease, listens to what you’re looking for, and then spends her time making sure she gets the perfect shots. I was a little apprehensive going into it (I hate taking photos, last time I took one was at the DMV), but she made me feel comfortable — I had a lot of fun — and importantly, the photos came out even better than I expected. Meredith’s photoshoot exuberance and professionalism will result in your walking away with MORE amazing photos of yourself than you know what to do with! Seriously, I have looked at the lovely photos that she took recently and I am having trouble choosing the ones that I want to use for my new business venture and possible re-​entry into the acting world. There are so many great ones! Meredith works with amazing efficiency, warmth and a dash of zany humor (you will laugh – I am warning you!!). She is willing to go the extra mile to cajole you into revealing your BEST self in photographs. I often resorted to the «fake» smile that we all have in our arsenal of photo smiles and Meredith patiently and consistently moved me into the right direction. My friends keep saying «Those eyes… that smile» from the photos Meredith took! Run, do not walk, to Meredith Zinner if you are wiling to have some FABULOUS photos of yourself to share with friends and family. Be prepared to love her by the time you are done.

I’m a therapist in private practice in Manhattan and moved to Park Slope in August 2012, right as I was updating my website. I Googled «photography in Park Slope» and came across several sites. First woman I contacted did not put me at ease at all. But when I contacted Meredith, I felt encouraged, though still nervous about the process. My squeamishness about getting photographed «professionally» went away once Meredith and I talked. Her positive energy and attentiveness were comforting and confidence inducing. The photo shoot itself was far more comfortable than I expected. Meredith helped me feel more comfortable in front of a camera than I’ve ever felt. Meredith is an amazing photographer and she immediately filled our home with her loving energy and spirit. Our boys loved her from the first instant and our session was so much fun!
She captured the best photos of our boys, their personalities, their wild sides, their soft sides and together they were playing and shooting. We’ve never had so many amazing shots from a photographer.
She is truly talented and cares about her subjects. She was very helpful before the session to make sure we were comfortable and so good about helping up pick the right photos and create combinations of photos afterwards.

Meredith Zinner is your go to person for photos!
I did my first photo shoot with Meredith when I was 8 months pregnant. She made me feel completely comfortable and was able to capture amazingly beautiful shots of me and my big belly!
When my son was born, the first person I thought to call was Meredith since I wanted to capture his early days the best way I knew how. Meredith spent the afternoon with us and took classic pictures of my son and me.
A year later I asked Meredith to trudge out to Long Island on a winter day and take more pictures and then again this summer.
Every experience has been wonderful. Meredith is engaging and sweet and easy. She made the whole photo shoot a game for my 3 year old and he had a blast asking where Meredith was the next day.
I recommend Meredith if you want amazing pictures of you and your family.

Meredith did a photo shoot of our son when he was 6 months old. She was great! She has such a positive and bubbly personality that is infectious. We had a great time with her while she took hundreds of amazing photos of our son (and our dog too). Months later, we can definitely see that she caught our son’s personality at that age perfectly. They change so quickly and it is nice to look at the pictures and really remember him at that age. She is wonderful!!!

Meredith is a wonderful photographer and person!
I went to Meredith for my acting head shots (I’m a grownup), and am so beyond thrilled with the final product. Meredith is an actor herself, so she totally understands all the anxieties and pressures of taking head shots, and made what is normally an awkward experience an absolutely delightful one.

Meredith is amazing! On a recent photo shoot, she produced the best pictures ever of my kids and me… None of us are naturals in front of the camera, but Meredith has a really easy, upbeat way about her that made everyone feel comfortable.
