Jose showed up right on time and seemed like a real nice guy right off the bat. I basically told him what my problem was and right away he did a quick diagnoses of my A/​C unit. Within 20 mins of being here he found out what the problem was and fixed it. While talking to Jose as he’s doing his troubleshooting I basically found out that Shalom is right down the street from me. So I’ll definitely be using Jose and Shalom again also, recommending them to family, friends and neighbors in search of A/​C needs. Thanks Jose and Shalom.

I would highly recommend Shalom Heating & Air. They were quick and efficient upon arrival. Dennis was very polite and Bobby showed his extensive knowledge of the AC. They were very helpful at explaining what was wrong and how to fix it. Blanca was very courteous and helpful. I had a very pleasant experience with this company and their price is amazing!

The technician came on time. He diagnosed my AC unit and then also gave me information about his recommendation. The guy is so nice. He told me that my unit working fine. He didn’t charge me.

I cannot believe my fortune to have called this company in desperation. The A/​C condenser overflow vent was leaking, and I was told to turn off the A/​C and call the home warranty service immediately. They put in an order, and on the third day were able to secure a technician… IN TWO WEEKS! I have heat excema (ewww, right?) and I can’t do without A/​C in So Cal in the brunt of summer, which (incidentally) is expected to hit tomorrow. I made a request of my home warranty company, but they were unable to get any of their service providers here so kindly agreed to let me contract (within limitations) and they would reimburse me. In calling companies, this was the closest in proximity to me, and the ratings were high. I called and got Blanca, who said that she would ask her husband, Jose, to come by on his way home, in recognizing my medical need escalated the urgency. Meantime, I kept calling other companies who were all booked into late next week at least… and one was kind enough to tell me how to clear the primary line under the sink which might help/​fix. I did so, and lo and behold no drip (but it was OFF for several days). I thought my luck had changed, but worried that it was not really fixed…
About one hour later I got a call from Jose. He came by about 10 minutes after that (this was around 7pm), was so conscientious about wearing booties on my carpet, taking them off to climb into attic, and then putting them on again climbing back down the ladder, only to take them off again to go out to his truck. Great care for my property. He then said that he would check the condenser and see what it was doing; cleaned a small clog in condenser line (I think he said), then climbed down, put his booties on, came down and told me that it should be fixed, but to keep an eye on the overflow pipe and if any water came out to call him again. I thanked him profusely, and asked what I owed him, and he said «nothing.» I insisted and he said, «no, my wife asked me to come by, and I was on my way home anyway. No charge.» I wanted to cry with joy, but thought before my eyes got too teared up I would write this missive of thanks and gratitude while it was fresh on my mind. You don’t meet genuinely kind and sincere people like Jose (and Blanca) every day. They are the everyday heroes who travel humbly among us. If I can help these terrific folks by leaving this note to let OC know how wonderful, honest and attentive this company is, it is the very least I can do.

My AC went out during the hot two days. I know they’re busy but they squeezed me in an appointment. The service I got was friendly, informative, professional and a very fair price. Definitely would recommend

Jose was AMAZING! Our AC has been given us problems here and there but never anything serious. However, it decided to break down completely today, when the temp is 106. Didn’t think I was going to be able to get it fixed today thinking they’d be super busy. But surprise! Jose called me within a couple of hours and said he was close by. He diagnosed the problem right away. Left to go get a part. Returned promptly. Switched out the part. Viola. AC fixed. Pricing was totally reasonable too. Forever grateful on this very hot day!

Dennis installed my furnace about a year and a half ago. They where super fast, clean and professional. The price was $ 800 cheaper than the other quotes I got. It was such a great experience I called them back when my AC was not working. Dennis arrived before 4pm and it was fixed and running and cooler than ever by 530pm. Again the price was super reasonable. I hope I don’t have to call them again. …but if I do I will always go with Dennis at Shalom. Thanks guys you Rock!

Shalom made a difficult situation much, much easier. Our AC had been getting less and less efficient over the last year, and with warm weather coming, we knew we needed to get it looked at. Turned out water was dripping out of a secondary drain because the primary drain had a small blockage. They came in and cleaned out the filters and condenser coil, and the clogged primary drain and got us rolling in about an hour. Reasonably priced, friendly, and helpful.

I have recommended Shalom Heating & Air to others. When José and his personnel from Shalom Heating & Air visited my home, they were courteous and up front about the whole installation process and even went through their chart for their pricing. While at my home they uncovered a huge problem with my ducting that was overlooked by other contractors. And, when I shopped around, I discovered that they offered the best prices too. They even went beyond what they agreed to do by doing a complete patch of my wall (interior and exterior) after removing and disposing my old wall unit (instead of a rough patch, which was what they agreed to). They completed the job within the time they gave me and patiently waited until I was able to get an electrician out to do a panel upgrade before collecting the final payment. When there was an issue noted by the inspector, José came out and addressed it in a couple of days and wanted me to wait for the inspector’s response prior to paying him the remaining balance! He even went on my roof and painted my vent to match the roof. He was very responsive and addressed all of my questions & concerns well. It was a pleasure doing business with him & his crew.

I called Shalom for checkup/​tuneup and i am not dissapointed. Dennis explained everything he was doing step by step and gave me pointers for keeping up the maintenance. I will definitely do business with Shalom again!

Our home had a very tight lay out to install the AC unit where we would have to compromise the unit we really wanted because it would be too big to put in the attic. Jose had initially given us a quote for the unit we had to settle for. He knew we would settle and not be entirely happy so he thought of another plan, going above and beyond (which he did not have to do) and was able to install the AC we really wanted, all this while still charging us the same initial quoted amount. Every positive review everyone has stated on Unilocal in terms of service, professionalism, and quality work is completely true!!! Shalom is prompt, efficient, professional and cares to personalize their service to the need of the customer. I would highly recommend them.

Dennis, Bob, and their young assistant came over and took a look at my heating unit. They repaired a loose pipe and cleaned out the old filters in the process. Even though they did not look Jewish and spoke hardly any Hebrew beside the greeting word shalom, they were very professional.

I would like to thank Shalom heating and air for the quick response to our dire AC need. As everyone know it’s been blazing hot around OC. I called Shalom last week and on the same day they came by for an estimate. The quote that I got was very fair compared to other quotes that I received. Shalom is very courteous on addressing my need and I could tell on the get go that this Shalom is a company with integrity. I decided to go with them and had my AC installed today. They came at my house at exactly at 7am, as promised. They worked very clean and professional. Our AC is working like magic right now. Crisp clean cold air. We hired Shalom Heating and Air because they are highly rated in Unilocal with fair estimate. However, my experience was no where their 5 stars rating. We were given a timeframe of 2 days to complete the job. They started Tuesday (Wednesday was asbestos removal so I am not even counting that as a work day). I expected them to finish by Thursday afternoon but when I got to the house I was told that it will not be completed until Monday. When I asked why I was told that «they had other jobs to complete.» Jose seemed to be unconcerned that we are moving in that weekend with my 16 month old baby with NO ac and temps had been above 90 degrees! That afternoon I also found a big hole on the ceiling where one of the workers stepped on it and another one right on top of our newly installed LED recessed lights.
They did come early Monday morning to complete the job and fixed the two damage on the ceilings. As a manager myself, I gave Jose the chance to rectify the situation and the best he did was knock off $ 100.
