Adna’s Automotive

I was looking through Unilocal reviews for Automotive service for my Merceds in April. There were some recommendations that were sent to me with good reviews, which I emailed them. In a matter of minutes I had a response back from Adna’s Automotive. I was amazed how quickly he responded back to me. I called him immediately to set up a time to meet Adna prior to making an appointment. I had a list of things that I wanted done, including B Service. Adna is friendly, very experienced and knowledgeable mechanic. Adna took a look at my car and gave me an assessment of what he thought I would need done. I told him that I would bring my car in the following week but would need to rent a car. He told me no need to that I could use his cute Fiat for the day. He loans his Fiat to his customers if they need it. That helped me out so much.
A week later I brought my car in. Adna told me that he would do a diagnostic check and see what my car needed and what it didn’t need at that time. He called me later that morning and told me that my filter was still clean. He changed the oil and did my service B and saved me money on the oil filter. He will change the filter on the next oil service. Adna fixed some other things on my car and saved me even more money. He will not sell you on repairs if your car does not need it. I was amazed how honest and down to earth Adna is. He has good business ethics and it shows.
Adna’s expertise with my Mercedes was very impressive. His shop is really nice, clean and comfortable. There is coffee for his customers and a basket with «free lemons» from his tree to take. The location is in Burlingame is convenient and away from the high traffic areas.

Great Service and very honest mechanic!!! Had my front brake pads replaced and he was able to machine my rotors. Dropped off in the morning and picked up my car at 2:00 pm. I work close so the proximity of his shop is a plus ;) I will definitely have him work on any car issues I may have in the future.

Found Adna! We use to take our cars when he was with another shop. But after he left, we kept taking our cars to that shop but to be honest the service started to go down hill. (which was a shame since we took 3 of our cars there). Luckily we ran into him and told us he had opened his own shop. Long story short I dropped my car off today and replaced my rear pads and rotors because they were making noise. Price is reasonable and I know he does good work so its a win win. He is a honest guy that wont try to sell you repairs or parts. Tells you upfront what work he recommends being done and when you should come back for the next service. Shop was very clean and he also has a loaner vehicle if you need one.

I’ve just started taking my car to Adna’s after my BMW dealership tried to rip me off with a few outrageous quotes for work. Adna did great work on my car. He really understands everything about the vehicle. He understands vehicles as a working system and has a great sense of how one thing wrong in one place can have an effect on something else elsewhere. Using that skill, he identified cost-​effective ways to solve my problems by going after the source of the problems versus the symptoms. He has great communication with you during the process and notified me promptly after the car was done ahead of schedule. Yes, AHEAD of schedule. Definitely taking my car to him every time from now on.

I heard great things about Adna’s automotive from a coworker of mine and decided to cancel my appointment with Hyundai and check this place out.
I got my Hyundai Genesis coupe checked and serviced by Adna and am completely satisfied with his work. Not only did he change my oil and air filters but he also gave me some valuable insight on how to best maintain my car. Super friendly, knowledgable and helpful. The best part is that it only took a few hours. The price for his work is competitive and fair.
The waiting room is comfortable with a Keurig
machine for refreshments and snacks! This is how all automotives/​bodyshops/​mechanics should be run.
Will come again.

After traveling up from Los Angeles for a quick trip to SF for my niece’s graduation from USF, I had just exited the 101 and my alternator went out. A friend recommended Adna as she has been going to his shop for years. She said he was professional, took pride in his work and cared. She and I both drive cars over 10 years. Adna did not disappoint and was super helpful. He helped diagnose the issue by simply asking me to take a video of my engine running so he could hear where the sound was coming from. Given my sense of urgency he loaned me his little Fiat and I was able to get on my way quickly while he repaired the car. His compassion during my minor set back reassured me that I had taken my car to the right place. I was able to attend the graduation and celebration and return the following morning to find my car repaired and ready for the return trip home. While he was at it he checked and filled the tires and ensured all of the fluids were in order. He also provided me with some tips on future repairs. What a great experience… so grateful. I would highly recommend his garage without a doubt or reservation!

Adna’s is a top notch operation. I have been brining my cars to Adna for years. He is always timely and honest. Work is always explained before he starts, and consultation always occurs if additional work is suggested. Many times, the suggestion is «wait and see» rather than «you need to», which, like my dentist, is a very conservative approach, which, to me, suggests someone who has your best interest in mind, not your credit card.
Adna has struck out on his own, and shares a couple of bays with On-​Track automotive, so word of mouth is truly the only way you’ll find him.
My advice, looking for a mechanic that knows his stuff, charges reasonable rates, and can be trusted? Go find Adna.
