Excellent customer service and great work! I wish I had found this place sooner, but it is tucked away in the back of 219 Old County Rd. Its rare to find a mechanic with all ⁵⁄₅ reviews on Unilocal,but I see how it happened. Autosense has just earned another ⁵⁄₅ from me by going above and beyond all my expectations.

Excellent auto repair shop. I have a Cargo Van and took it to 2 different places but no one could figure out why my air conditioner blower was not working. Took it to Jeremy for an ABS indicator light that stayed on and he determined that the problem was the ignition switch. He also determiner was why my AC blower wasn’t working. Great job!!! This place is a well kept secret — tucked away among other auto repair shops but don’t let that fool you — this guy knows his stuff!!! And the best part was I was able to drop off that morning & picked up my van that afternoon. I would strongly recommend bringing your vehicle here. I will be bringing all my vehicle here from now on.

Ok finding a good honest mechanic is a job of work! But I found this place and my work is done! Jeremy is a good man, hard working, honest and reliable. He’s also fair! He takes a lot of pride in his work, as he should. Also, ladies, not hard on the eyes! He did my brakes, and now he’s going to be busy getting Salvador (my mustang) back up to factory specs! I was in a tight spot. My weekend Warrior Chevy Silverado 4×4 with almost 300K miles needed some work and I am tight on budget, short on time. I use this vehicle for guiding off road fishing hunting and camping trips, that support our wounded and military veterans.

I love this place!
Our check engine light was on, so I ran and got a quick diagnostic test elsewhere, called Autosense for a quote and brought the car in the next day! (Sidenote: The car had been driving like crap for awhile now and NO ONE could figure out why.) When I picked it up he says «I have good news for you, it wasn’t the cam shaft, it was blah, blah, blah and I fixed that!»
Over $ 100 LESS than what I was quoted, done about an hour earlier than promised and the car drives like a DREAM!
So, so happy!

I had just bought a car from a private seller and had some concerns pertaining to the vehicle. Autosense came highly recommended by a good friend so, they were the first people I called. Right away, I got a chance to speak with the owner, who was very knowledgeable and courteous. I was instructed to bring my car in on Saturday morning, which I did. Jeremy was very informative, pointing out the two things my car needs, front brakes and new belts. He was able to complete all the work quickly and at a very fair price.
I would definitely continue to take my vehicle here and dish out referrals!

I took my wife’s 2008 Mazda 6 in because I had my check engine light on. Jeremy diagnosed the car and told me what was wrong with it within minutes. It turns out that my crankshaft and camshaft sensor where not aligned correctly and that’s why the check engine light came on. Long story short, previously I had taken the car to a family friend because I had a blown head gasket. The guy worked on the car but had no true knowledge on fixing it correctly from beginning to end. I wish I could have turned back the time and taken it to Jeremy from the very begining. He did make the proper adjustments to specs. I brought it in early in the morning and by the late afternoon the car was done! Jeremy is an amazing mechanic. I will surely recommend his business to anyone I come accross with that needs auto repair. Thanks again Jeremy!

Brought my BMW X3 in to fix the air conditioning and they did a great job at a very reasonable price. Consequently, I was motivated to bring it in again when the brake pad indicator came on as well as the service engine now light. New brake pads and the service to the car were done timely and at reasonable labor rates. I really like how their bill tells you how long it actually took to complete certain parts of the job — Autosense is open, honest and very fair. Must have a lot to do with the owner, Jeremy who actually does the work too — he is motivated to keep you as a long term customer. I highly recommend them!

I took my Toyota Highlander in to get new front brake pads and they did a quick and painless $$ job. I was quoted almost double at another place in Daly City who specializes in Honda’s and Toyota’s. I also took my daughter’s car in for several different problems and they gave me a very fair price and were fast… I trust them and would highly recommend to my friends and family…

This was my 2^nd time coming in to check out my car. I have a BMW 330i which is so expensive to change/​repair anything on it. The guys here are so helpful and always tell me what really needs to be done… Unlike most mechanics who try to make $$$ off of you. I appreciate their great work and honesty.
I will only take my car here! I recommend this place to everyone!

I don’t know a thing about cars and I was always apprehensive about going to mechanics, afraid of being ripped off. I’ve known Jeremy since I was little, and he knows cars!!! Any concerns with your car, Jeremy can help. I had some trouble with my brakes after an accident that no one has been able to fix, but they’re fixed now!!! I highly recommend The Mechanic.

My Father in Law was having some smog issues with his Nissan Pathfinder and was given a «shopping list» of things that were needed to get it through smog check. Including a Catalytic Converter ($ 200+) by a supposedly reputable business up near where he lives near Yosemite.
I heard from a friend about this new business in San Carlos and as we were in the area, decided to drop in & see if they could shed any light on the supposed issues.
We were dealt with bu co-​owner Sean, he was ultra professional, explaining what he was doing at all steps along the way, and discovering that «the shopping list of issues» he had previously been given was mostly made up… the only thing that was replaced was a small piece of rubber hose and all the issues were gone!
Exceptional service, VERY reasonable cost’s and very knowledgeable & thorough, clean work.
Thank you… we will be back, and be spreading the «good word» about this place.

The company changed it’s name to AUTOSENSE as there is another business locally with the same name… nothing else is changing, just the name, same staff etc.

My car needed some «pre-​smog» work performed… Once again, Sean performed great work & as well as the required work, also did an oil & filter change & a mini tune up.
Car sailed through smog check, and the actual check was very reasonable… again, thank you.
