Drop and Go Auto Repair — Dropand​GoAuto​.com was founded by the owners of A+ Japanese Auto Repair Inc. The owners identified that auto repair is a major time drain for the working professional. In an attempt to redefine the way cars are serviced they partnered up with silicon valleys developers, designers, and business development experts to get the business off the ground.

Drop and Go Auto Repair is now thriving in the bay area. They provide high quality auto repair to working professionals while saving them the typical time drain from their busy schedules.

New funding and our visionary CEO Doug Warren is positioning Drop and Go Auto Repair to be a house hold name. We look forward to this years growth and offering an affordable, convenient and trusted brand in the peninsula for all your auto repair needs.

Manager

As VP of Service Delivery, Adam has a broad role that encompasses our total customer value proposition, and service provider network. Adam joined the team with 15 years of experience as CEO in the leading Bay Area based independent auto repair facility, A+ Japanese Auto Repair, Inc., the company experienced record-​setting growth and had swept all the major automotive industry best-​in-​class awards, including 2013 «Best Auto Repair» in SfGate​.com Voter Choice Awards. Adam has experienced first hand some of the industries real issues through his involvement with automotive service councils (ASC) and automotive service association (ASA) and through cases with the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR). Through his commitment to better the automotive industry Adam has dedicated himself to providing the highest level of automotive repair and service.

Had my ’71 Convertible Super Beetle worked on for Oil Change, Inspection, Control Arm /​Idler Arm bushing replacement and fuel odor in the cabin.
The Good Stuff:
Eric came to me to get my car and left me with a rental. Had the car for most of the week until they delivered my car back to me and took rental.
That was awesome! The $ 30 fee was worth the hassle, or lack thereof.
Naeem was excellent from first contact. Very professional, courteous, informative and communicative. Sent pictures and all!
The «shimmy» caused by bushings needing to be replaced has gone away as expected. Yay!
Naeem e-​mailed me the results of their inspection and called me to discuss what, if anything, I wanted to get repaired.
All went very smooth. Love it!
The Not-​So-​Good Stuff:
Only reason I have given it 4 stars is due to the fuel odor in my car. It was 10x stronger than when I had left it with them. I understand that the hoses need to be replaced and that the inspection likely ruptured more of any hoses needing replacement. That said, I was told nothing was done with the hoses and they need to be replaced.
I know they didn’t fix the problem, since I did not authorize the work, but something was done to make it worse.
When the vehicle was dropped off, the odor was so strong standing outside the door. To compare to how it was previously, the smell was only evident when I would have a full tank AND making a U-​Turn. The tank was about ½ full. The odor was so strong, that I felt so bad for the guy who drove it back (with the top up!). I drove it home with the top down and I was dying!
Note: A+ Japanese worked on my car.
I would still bring any of my cars back to them for work, despite the issue with the fuel. The staff is friendly, professional, communicative and just plain awesome. Will definitely recommend them to family and friends!

These guys are great! After months of not making time for the hassle of getting my car in for a regular service, I went ahead and gave Drop and Go Auto a try.
They deliver a free loan and pick-​up my car — leaving me to my work day with minimal interruption! This was just what I needed. I got tires, brakes and other misc service without leaving my house. A driver came to my place and handed me keys to a very nice Kia sedan. A little later, the service tech emailed photos to me and we reviewed them to for approval of the suggested work. The next day they returned my car and picked up the loaner at my house for another minimal interruption. No need to get a ride to or from the shop! Plus they did solid work on my car. Overall a great service!

This was my best auto care experience ever. Everyone who works here is so friendly and helpful. (Justin was helping me, and he may be one of the nicest people I’ve ever met.) I came in for an oil change. They recommended a more extensive inspection, but didn’t pressure me at all when I decided against it for now. I’d opted to bring my car in instead of having them pick it up (though it’s amazing they do that for free). They dropped me off at a coffee shop while I waited for my car and picked me up afterwards. And what really blew me away: they washed my car. What a wonderful surprise! I’ll definitely be coming back here for all of my car maintenance needs.

SERIOUSLY!!! Auto repair service where they bring the car into the shop for you??? Sweet! Just tried out Drop and Go Auto Repair with my Volvo SUV. The repair guys were friendly, honest &, for a busy on the go working Mom the most valuable aspect was that they brought the rental car to my work in San Mateo. The prices were good. I would definitely call Drop and Go Auto again. 5 STAR guys!

These guys are fantastic.
At first I wasn’t too sure about letting someone I don’t know drive my car, but after reading the reviews I gave it a shot. They exude trust. The guy that picked up my car was super courteous, communicated well, and was on time.
They communicated thoroughly with me every step of the way and I never felt like I was being upsold. The rental was hugely convenient. I’d definitely use them again.

I travel all over the Bay Area for work, so I can’t be without my car. EVER. I’m usually pretty good with preventative maintenance and care for my baby, so when my car wouldn’t start… I freaked out. Now I’m not an expert auto guy at all, so I did what every grown man does… I called my mom :)
She literally had just talked to a friend about Drop and Go Auto because she had a radiator problem, and it was so coincidental it was like it was meant to be. Hung up the phone, pulled up their website, luckily had availability that day, scheduled, and got on with my day. Extremely nice guys, fixed my problems, and made it beyond convenient for me. Highly recommend.

What a brilliant concept and service! I love living in the Bay Area even more because of services like this. The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and I feel 100% confident having my car serviced with them. I’m a busy working mom and finding time for car maintenance is extremely difficult (especially if I have to pick between that and time for a hair appointment) so this is absolutely perfect for me. My ’05 Honda Civic was overdue for an oil change and needed to get a smog check for my registration… I found Drop and Go based on recommendations from some Stanford University mailing lists that all Stanford employees receive. It sounded too cool to be true, a company that would come to your work, pick up your car and leave you wheels to get around?!
I checked out their website,
and scheduled my appointment for the following morning at 10 am.
Max called me to let me know that he was on his way and called me again when he arrived. He met me out in front of my building with the rental car and we drove over to where my car was parked. He was very nice and explained what would happen and how long the turnaround time would be. We handled the paperwork for the rental and Max took my car and I got on with the rest of my day. I heard from the auto shop, A Plus Japaneses Auto
that would be doing the service on my car around 4 pm. Rob Lucas was the service writer that worked with me and he let me know that my car would be ready the next morning and I would hear from Max when he was on his way to my office.
It was fun to have a rental car for the day, I really enjoy driving all different types of cars, so having something I’d never driven before, was fun for me.
The next morning I heard from Max and he said that my car was all ready and he would come drop it off to me at 1 pm. At 1 pm, Max called and said that he was at my location and had parked my car near the rental, which I found to be really convenient, it meant I didn’t have to go and re-​park my car. I met Max outside and he gave me my paperwork and keys, took the rental and was on his way.
What I enjoyed most about working with Drop and Go Auto was the lack of fuss, they worked with the times that I was available, I didn’t have to stick to their schedule, they stuck to mine. I look forward to using Drop and Go Auto again in the future and seeing what kind of rental car they will give me next time! :)

Wow. The whole experience was really positive. I will definitely use Drop and Go Auto next time my car needs servicing.
They did the repairs I asked for without up-​selling me on stuff I didn’t need. They were honest, trustworthy and the customer service was over the top.
Firestone told me I needed new tires and an aliment – but Drop and Go Auto assured me that I had many more miles left on them.

Can’t believe I was lucky enough to find
. The registration was simple, straight-​forward and gave me a wide variety of timing options to accommodate my schedule perfectly. Right on time, they brought me a gassed-​up, clean car and helped me transfer car seats and all of my work items (I’m in sales). By the time I got settled back in the office, I received a text, showing a photo of my MDX in front of the shop… She looked safe and happy to be there! It was SO nice to have a service so accommodating to my crazy-​busy life. My car is driving extremely well now and I think parts that were fine are working even better! Yes — I will use them again!!!

I am the owner of a Aqua Exotic in San Carlos, a reef tank supplier in the bay Area. As a small business owner I have zero time for doing errands and a trip to the auto repair shop takes up a major part of my day.
I was discussing this with a customer an she told me about this new business in the bay area that delivers the service right to your place of work (they might also do home delivery but I’m not sure). They are just launching so I don’t know if they will continue to offer such a great deal but I they saved me a ton of time and I only paid $ 290 for a brake job and a full inspection — summer special or something. This was on a 2001 Honda Accord.
When I got my car back they had washed it (I have no time for that either) and then I was shocked when the driver told me I had 24 hours to drive the car and check things out before they billed me for the work. Don’t know how they do this but I love it.

I tried this service for my 2006 Honda accord on the suggestion of my neighbor.
They usually pick-​up vehicles at business lots but agreed to meet me in Redwood City. I needed a 60K mile service. I called them to confirm and then I scheduled on-​line.
Day of service the guy texted me with a photo and met me at the house. We talked for a moment about the service and I signed for my Free rental car — it was a dodge Challenger an interesting change from my Honda. Pretty nice deal. It took all of 10 minutes and off my car went to the shop. They work with several local shops but I believe it want to A+ Japanese in San Carlos.
Later in the afternoon I got a detailed quote which I reviewed with the Service Agent and approved the items I wanted (total bill was $ 450 including breaks all around, oil and brake fluid and some other minor items). The next morning they called to return my car. I met them, this time at my office at Stanford which they said was not problem. Price was fair, they washed the my car and the total transaction took less than and hour on both sides. Thanks Drop and Go. Loved the service and will definitely will refer this to my friends.

I do not write many reviews — kinda of a Unilocal freeloader ;-) But this service was so awesome that I just had to. I work in Redwood Shores in a very demanding tech job.
Car repair is a major pain for me and a big time synch. I heard about this service from a friend and based on his experience I booked a service for my 2008 Camry.
It was amazing to have them meet me at work to pick-​up my car and leave me a loaner on the spot (it did take a couple minutes to sign the rental forms — they are using Enterprise). Got my quote in email and called the mechanic to go over the service items, (phone support was solid). I really did not want all of the recommended items. He explained items I could defer (don’t need the cabin air filter — not cheap). The guy was cool and did not try to sell me.
So I drive the loaner car home that afternoon from the office– some kind of Dodge — full size, and when I get back to work the next day their driver meets me in the parking lot at lunch. Work done was front brakes, inspections and fluid changes (oil and transmission). Price was good, less than when I had it serviced at the dealer. and the car was washed! All and all this is a great service and a big time-​saver.
