They shorted my wife 15-​mins, on her 90-​minute massage for Valentines Day. Make sure you get your money’s worth!

What a gem! Staff was friendly & helpful. The location was clean! I started with a 40 min infrared sauna session. It was so relaxing! I would recommend putting music on in the sauna b/​c the staff walks around & you can pretty much hear everything. Sidenote: not recommended for anyone who is claustrophobic; the saunas are small (even the 2-​person sauna). Also, stay hydrated; drink plenty of water before & after! After a quick rinse in the shower room, I had Yanet for an hour Swedish massage. Pure bliss! She did a very good job! This coming from a person who gets a massage about every other month. I like how she used a lotion/​oil combo! That was something different & I’m sure my skin loved it after the sweat session in the sauna! I will be a repeat customer!

The services here are passable — previously I had a body scrub done here and it was pretty basic, nothing to write home about.
Today I had a «custom» facial and it was barely OK. The whole process seems rather rushed. The aesthetician barely spent any time cleansing my skin so she didn’t really work in any product or allow adequate time for the warm water & steam to soften the stuff that would need to be extracted. She applied a scrub with some sort of very mild chemical or enzyme exfoliating component. Since my skin wasn’t prepped very well the extractions weren’t very effective; which really sucks since that’s my biggest reason for getting facials. The massage portion was fairly short & uneven — as in some areas were missed completely or one side of my face/​neck was massaged but not the other. The final clay mask was left to sit far too long so it was really difficult to remove & left my skin super dried out. About 20 minutes of the facial was spent waiting for the mask to dry with new massage being performed — basically a lot of down time for a one hour service.
Basically the aesthetician didn’t ask any questions or spend enough time analyzing my skin to offer an effective service. Overall the space is nice & the services sound great but the execution isn’t worth a return trip.

I’ve been coming here for about 6 months or so now and it’s been ok. Today however I feel I got ripped off. I went in for a 2 hour massage and I belong to this plan they have where you pay a monthly fee and get a massage a month. On top of that you get discounts on additional services. Well I had a massage from previous month I hadn’t used so I chose a 2 hour today to make up for it. Showed up for in the room massage therapist asked if I would like shoulder, back, and neck massage I said yes. Well little to my knowing I finish the massage and they up charge me $ 20 dollars for this. Am I safe to say this doesn’t sound right? What is a massage if it isn’t shoulders back and neck? I give them 2 stars purely because the massage therapist have a good massage. I would of been happy had they told me there was a up charge for something I’ve had in the past and never paid an up charge.

What a beautiful experience today at Body Essentials Day Spa. I was greeted with great customer service by Monique. Did I say GREAT customer service? Then Mayra went above and beyond on the massage. Did I say ABOVE and BEYOND? She Listens to what you say and pays close attention to details. Be careful though if you go mid day like I did you won’t want to go back to work. You feel that good!

I have been coming here for several years. I think over three now. I actually come to spray tan because You cant beat the price for a membership. Honestly thats what has kept me a continuous customer for so many years .I decided to write a review though because they changed the tanner they use in the machine and Im in love with it. I hope they keep it because it doesnt have a strong scent like other mystic tanning machines and it doesnt leave you feeling sticky. If you are in the area stop by and get a spray tan. you wont regret it.

Found Body Essentials on Unilocal! This was the third infrared sauna place I have been to. This Spa has a very relaxing atmosphere. They have two
Sauna’s available. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable compared to other spa’s I have been to. They do massages and facials too. I would recommend their monthly Infrared sauna membership for $ 25.

Here’s the deal. I don’t dislike the place but at the end of the day for $ 65, there are several places that outshine Body Essentials. I think they could get right up there but, you need to provide the shower facilities, you need to provide a serious rub down, reshower, give the experience. It was a lukewarm bath at most…

Highly recommend Ana, she did a great job. I just moved to Southern California and tried other massage therapists and this was the best. Definitely going back and already booked my next appointment. Read other reviews and do agree the walls are thin and you can hear noise, but it was just for a brief minute. I went on a Saturday morning, so I’m not sure if it’s noisier during the week, but the massage was way worth it. Thank you Ana for making me feel like a limp noodle! ;)

not all that great. All they do is press and that’s it. Not a real Swedish massage. If your sciatica hurts, do not go here. I think the only good thing about this place was the foot massage.

Was not happy coming to this place. The massage was not good and felt rushed and the atmosphere was outdated. Was not offered anything to drink as I waited. I could only compare to a car wash. If you want a nice complete wash then you’ll go to a full service wash. If you want a self done .25 cent wash then you’ll go to a do it yourself place. I’d have to say this is comparable to a .25 wash. I use this as helpful advice. For a massage spa, I’d expect a little more pampering or at least offered a cup of water as waiting.

I love this place! I first tried it because I received a Spa finder certificate in 2012. I finally found Body Essentials and made an appointment. I have only had two massages here by two different therapist but they both were great. I ended up buying a membership for the infrared sauna (there’s also a shower available for after the sauna) and would go back a couple times a week. If you have never tried one, you should they are amazing. I also had a membership for the UV tanning bed which was a great value for me, especially compared to others in the area. Every time I entered this location I was greeted with a smile, everyone is helpful and amazing. I have moved out of the area so I can’t go as often, but if I am ever in the area I will go back. Thank you to all the Staff for always giving me a pleasant experience.

I have looked for a long time trying to find the right person to do my eyebrows in Chino Hills. I finally found Joyce at Body Essentials. She makes sure that even an eyebrow waxing is actually an experience. She heats her bed, she massages your temple, and rubs cold globes on your eyebrows to help with an irritation due to the waxing. I HIGHLY recommend Joyce!

I just realized that I hadn’t updated my review of Body Essentials since 2011.
Since my last review, I’ve switched massage therapists. For the past couple years, I’ve been going to Joyce, whom my mom sees as well.
I always have complaints of various aches and pains from the different activities I do. I can be very hard on my body and massages are crucial to give me a solid «reset».
Joyce is very friendly, personable and more importantly, well-​versed in making your aches, pains and stresses go away. Unlike most, I don’t ever really fall asleep during my massages. Don’t get me wrong, she can be lighthanded enough to send you off into a sweet slumber, but whenever I see her, we always pick up our conversations where we last left off.
She is very good at applying just the right amount of pressure to where you feel relieved after your session. After a few visits, she’ll be aware of how your body responds to certain things and adjust as needed.
I love my visits here and time permitting, have her save a 2 hour block of massage time. Best ever!
She also does facial massages for those of you interested in those services.
My only gripe is the management. For various reasons, I’ve sent email (s), mind you that’s plural, to their manager without receiving a response at all. There was one time I had requested via email to suspend my account because I had accumulated too many massages and needd to use them all. I did not get a response from him until I literally walked in for a massage appointment and he just so happened to be in that day. I found that very troubling.

I got a spafinder gift card for Christmas last year and found this place while looking for spas that take the gift card. I’ve come here twice now in the past year and both times were for a deep tissue massage. Out of the few spas in the same price range I’ve been to in Chino Hills and Corona, this is my favorite.
The first time I came, I purchased a package that included 30 minutes in the infrared sauna, a 60 minute swedish massage (which I upgraded to a deep tissue), and a 25 minute foot scrub and massage. It was my first time using an infrared sauna and while it was different, I’m not sure I really like saunas of any type. Leandra did a great job with my deep tissue massage and the foot scrub and massage. I was so comfortable and relaxed that I fell asleep during the foot scrub.
My second time here, Gail did my deep tissue massage and she was AMAZING! Gail really worked on my trouble spots instead of going through a routine of spending equal time on everything like a lot of other massage therapists do. When I come back I’ll definitely ask for Gail again!
It doesn’t seem like it from the outside but the inside of the spa is relaxing and comfortable. It isn’t very fancy but you can’t really expect it to be for how good the prices are. If you want something more upscale, go pay more somewhere else!

After seeing an episode on television where a character used an infrared sauna, I decided to try for myself and with this facility being my second try using one. I tried one facility and loved it but that facility was quite a distance from where I was at that current moment. I decided to Unilocal and came across this facility «Body Essentials Day Spa». Being in this area I feel my facilities are very limited so figured why not give this one a shot.
I made an appointment and the receptionist was very accommodating with times. Showed up to location and it was a very clean/​relaxing environment. Its a small facility but they seem to do a variety of services at fairly low cost. Only down side to this place is they do not have any amenities but I assume that’s what keeps their rates at cost. If I am in this area again and need to do an infrared sauna I would definitely comes back here.

The employees are nice, and the décor is charming. They offer a wide variety of services too!
EYELASH EXTENSIONS — I compared the price to other places, and they had the best deal. ~$ 70 If I remember correctly. The lady was nice. We bonded a bit, because we both speak Chinese. :) It was my first time getting this done, so I was a bit nervous. I came with my full eyemakeup done. Such a noob move. Haha. I didn’t end up liking them though. They were uncomfortable. After talking about it with my friends who get the service done elsewhere, I think we established that the quality of hairs they use is not AS good as other places, but you definitely get what you pay for.
SWEDISH MASSAGE — ~$ 50. Good deal, but once again, you get what you pay for. The masseuse was very nice, but she was young and kinda small, so I barely felt any pressure. I probably wouldn’t recommend this service.
MYSTIC TANNING — Great deal! Only $ 21.99 + Initial startup fee for unlimited monthly Mystic. Other places charge about $ 12 per session, so I found this to be a steal! I was a member here for a couple years, and I only had to wait once or twice for the Mystic booth. It’s always wiped squeaky clean.
TIP: Ask for an extra large towel to bring in. They usually only provide the small towels to wipe off with, and I don’t feel like it’s enough.

I went to Body Essentials Spa the other day because my normal esthetician that does waxing was on vacation. Body Essentials… Why didn’t I go to you earlier? I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of service I received at Body Essentials.
The front desk staff was very friendly and professional. I was immediately greeted and felt welcomed. The front lobby is very relaxing and you are instantly whisked away to a happy place.
Cecily did my eyebrow wax and really did a thorough quality job. I was happy because my eyebrows were perfectly shaped. She really took her time and made me relaxed.
After the waxing, we were discussing my need for a facial. She was able to do a facial right after the waxing. She explained the complete process to me and had a great touch. She used quality products and left me looking radiant. The basic facial ($ 60) included cleansing, steam, extractions and a very nice massage. Cecily was very friendly and walked me to the front after the facial. I felt very taken care of and thoroughly enjoyed my experience.
