M&V Limousines Ltd.

After writing my first review regarding my issue with L&V, I received a phone call from Billy today.
He apologized for everything that happened that day and for the miscommunication the following week. He said the company has been in business for 23 years and his goal is to make everyone happy. And after speaking with him today, I felt that he was truly sorry. I understand people make mistakes, and I apologize for sounding selfish, but it was my wedding day. My husband and I were very upset because of the issues that occurred right before, the day of, and the week after. Billy took the time to let me explain myself. He also explained what happened and again apologized several times. He said their is absolutely no excuse what happened. Just like I explained to Billy, we had a limo show up regardless of anything else. Since the complimentary town car did not show up after the wedding, he did offer us a free pick from the airport, but since we don’t live in New York, he also offered to bring a family member to/​from the airport. He also offered a discounted rate out to the wineries. I appreciate that! I also told Billy if my husband has any questions, that he will call. Billy said he would be more than happy to speak with him so we can resolve this issue.

Always on time every time. Driver was polite and opened the door for my wife and I. Excellent driver and the cab smelled amazing. Will definitely ride with them again.

Used the company a little over a week ago. Provided 2 limo’s and a shuttle bus. The ‘10’ passenger limo that only fit 8 (barely; and not large people) was a nightmare. A/​C definitely wasn’t working. I had to call another person back from 5 miles away to take 3 people from the group because we could not fit all in limo. It clearly has 8 NOT 10 seats in it. Maybe would fit a bunch of 16 years olds going to a Jr. prom but definitely not adults. My husband (father of the bride) was one of the lucky ones to get into the other car — he was one of the least resistant as we had 4, 80 – 90 year olds as part of that group; so I couldn’t even ride with my husband to my daughters wedding (I opted to stay with the older people who were upset at this point) which was an hour from where we were. An hour and a half of this day was totally ruined.
I called the company a few days later and spoke with Ray to explain the situation and was told that we were given all these ‘extras’ — «We threw in a better limo — a Mercedes; the other was a 2015 with the Lamborghini door» — who cares — we just wanted a comfortable ride and what we paid for — we didn’t ask for the extras and we certainly do not care what emblems are on the vehicle. As for them telling us that the 10 passenger would only fit 8 when we told them we needed a 10 passenger, it was never said! If we asked for a 10, we should have gotten a 10 (or a 12 if it wouldn’t fit 10).
The 2 stars are for my limo. The other 2 were fine. Just we wary.

Used them to pick us up from coming back from a cruise. Driver was on the phone most of the way having a fight with his girlfriend and he was cursing and yelling at her. Like I want to hear that.
No exaggeration either that he was going 85mph as I saw the speedometer. I felt like my life was at risk. It was truly a horrible experience. I would NEVER use them again.

We used them for our wedding on June 27^th… we were going to settle with the company and take this down, but then I thought it was wrong not to share the story of the service we received…
Car Number 1 Friday, June 26: A 12 passenger limo from Amagansett to Brooklyn… this is the ONLY part of the service I was pleased with… nice driver, got us to the location on time, helpful
The day of the wedding… we ordered 3 cars, an antique Rolls Royce, a 10 passenger limo and a 25 passenger bus. All three of the cars were to pick up at the New York Marriott on West Street in Manhattan and drive to Our Lady of Angels in Bay Ridge Brooklyn… knowing how traffic in Manhattan can be, I asked for a 12:30 pick-​up for the 2:00 ceremony… plenty of time barring some sort of natural disaster…
Well, the Rolls Royce and the limo show up promptly at 12:30 and we are told the bus is coming…12:40, no bus yet, so we decide to let the limo and the Rolls take myself, my maid of honor our parents and the children to Brooklyn… drivers rudely informed us that we can’t take the tunnel because tunnel fees are not included, we volunteer to pay the toll. they take the tunnel and pull out an ezpass… why would you even mention anything about tolls if you have ezpass?? We arrive at the church around 1:15 and begin waiting… and waiting… the groom and the other members of the wedding party try to contact the bus… the bus FINALLY arrives at the Marriott at 1:11 (40 MINUTES AFTER THE SCHEDULED TIME) and the driver insists on taking the Manhattan Bridge and driving down 4^th Avenue to Bay Ridge… they arrived at the church over 45 MINUTES LATE!!! Thank god the priest allowed the wedding to start at 2:50 instead of 2:00 when it was supposed to start…
Now that it’s later it is also POURING! so we can’t take pictures at the parks as was planned and we telly he driver we’re going to stop and pick up our lunch at Cannonball Park (on the way bad to Manhattan) and then head back to the hotel so we can take some pictures there… both the party bus and the limo stop at the park and we pick up lunch… then we start driving back towards Manhattan. I (the Bride) am on the bus with my entire wedding party… grandparents, parents and children are in the limo which apparently had a competent driver because they got back to the hotel in 45 minutes… The party bus driver tries to get on the BELT PARKWAY GOING EAST!!! two problems, Manhattan is WEST and the bus cannot go on the parkway!!! Luckily we were paying attention and alerted the driver to this and he BACKS UP THE ON RAMP ONTO THE VERY BUSY SHORE ROAD… then he says… no highways… and drives up 4^th Avenue to Manhattan. Yes, as the owner of the company repeatedly told us, there was traffic, but if we were on the highway we would have been fine (we hired a Hampton Jitney Bus for our guests to do this same run… same type of bus, left Brooklyn at the same time… got to the Manhattan hotel in 45 minutes) so it takes this driver 2 hours and 45 minutes on 4^th avenue to drive to the Manhattan Bridge… needless to say, we never went to the hotel because at this point we were late for our cocktail hour (we and originally allowed 3 HOURS between ceremony and reception for pictures) and we have NO WEDDING PICTURES. NOT ONE SINGLE PICTURE OF OUR WEDDING… and a photographer at $ 350 an hour who sat on a bus and looked at Brooklyn.
Then there was a road closed in Manhattan and it was taking even longer and at this point, 2 hours and 45 minutes after leaving the church, I was finished and frustrated so myself and the entrée wedding party got off the bus and WALKED the 3 blocks to our wedding Reception, missing most of the cocktail hour and ending up absolutely SOAKING WET in by dress :(
Went in to have a meeting with the owner on Friday, July 24^th, (i’s so long after because we just returned from our honeymoon)…he was 30 minutes late for the meeting so we initially delt with the manager who was offing us $ 500 back for a $ 1500 bus which literally ruined our wedding… and the owner finally showed up. saying traffic happens and people are always late for their weddings and insisting that we pay for at least half of the bus (we didn’t we settled on $ 500 to cover the cost of gas and the drivers pay… not for nothing but I would have fired the driver immediately if he was 40 minutes late for a WEDDING pick-​up time) but acted like it was nothing out of the ordinary and no big deal… the company was willing to settle for a full refund, but only if we removed any negative feedback about the day…

Nothing short of a catalogue of errors.
From the beginning it was, shall we say, a little hit and miss with M & V Limousines. They are quick to speak to you when you want to make a reservation, but after that, getting anyone (especially the person you made the reservation with) to communicate with you is nigh on impossible. You can call, leave messages, email constantly, but once the money is paid then don’t expect them to be the slightest bit concerned about you wanting to amend pickup or drop off times or venue locations. I had to make a real nuisance of myself to change times slightly and only then could I get it confirmed 4 days before my venue that it would work.
As a surprise for my bride to arrive at the church I style, I hired the vintage 1958 Rolls Royce Wraith. Imagine my (initially pleasant surprise) that 18 hours before it was due to arrive, I got what I presumed to be a courtesy call to run through the schedule for the following day. Wrong!
It was to let me know that there was a problem with the car and they would «work on it all night» to make sure my big day started how I wanted it to. But, there’s a chance it may not be fixed in time and they’d call me at 10am the following morning to let me know.
10am came, no phone call. By 11am, I decided I should call as it was needed to arrive in 3 hours. I, optimistically, assumed that no phone call meant the problem has been fixed and it’s business as usual. Wrong again!
The car can’t be fixed in time. Regardless of the fact they didn’t ever call me to tell me theism that’s was disappointing as the Wraith actually had some minor sentimental value attached to it. However, I can always have the 1958 vintage Bentley Rolls Royce, right? Wrong yet again! That isn’t working either!
On being told that, I was then given less than 30 minutes to make a decision about what car I wanted (shame you didn’t you stick to your own 10am deadline) and I was offered an antique Madame X Bridal Car or a brand new Rolls Royce Phantom.
Upon investigating, the «Bridal Car» is really a «kit car», i.e. one someone’s made from a load of numbered parts so there’s nothing antique about it. It’s a modern, cheap imitation! Furthermore, the «new» Phantom isn’t new at all, it’s a 2008 model! So, 7 years old for my wedding! All this left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.
With 2,5 hours to go before they were supposed to arrive, I eventually decided on the «new Phantom»
T driver was the only good thing about the company. He was awesome, and the car was absolutely fine. Just completely not what I ever wanted. It arrived on time and the driver was a great guy to have on our wedding day. We weren’t charged any more (thankfully), we got champagne and a red carpet, but the «Just Married» wedding sign never materialized. To be honest, though, I was just relieved something with 4 wheels turned up on time!

My wedding was July 3, 2014. I was referred to this limo company by our wedding venue and thought it would be perfect since they were close to the venue.
We arranged to have the antique Rolls Royce and the 13 passenger Chrysler. They were to pick the groomsmen up at our hotel first with my husbands parents, then come back and pick up the bridesmaids with my grandparents and I would follow with my parents in the Rolls Royce. This failed completely when the limos arrived very late. There was no time for a return trip for the girls, so my wedding party had to squish into the Chrysler, my grandparents had to get a ride with a family member and my mother in law had to ride in the antique with myself and my parents. Getting everyone to the venue was a complete fiasco and my I am the oldest grandchild and first married so I was really looking forward to my grandparents getting to ride in the wedding limo. 1 bridesmaid even had to sit on another’s lap!
I was so disappointed because we arrived very late to our wedding venue, I have no pictures with my husband and I in the Rolls Royce and that was the whole reason I ordered it to begin with. Ever since I was little I dreamed of having the antique car and pictures with my husband and I in it. Because we arrived so late, by the time my husband and I had our big reveal, we only had time for the picture on the premises and wedding party. I am so disappointed that I have even thought about restaging this moment with my husband and I and ordering the antique with a company close to him so we can have at least 1 picture in this car.
After all of that, the driver barely seemed sorry/​concerned and hung around to get a tip while we were running around trying to get some pictures in before our ceremony began.
I waited to see if i would hear from the company and I have never heard back (it’s almost been a year), I sent an email to Billy, the person I had worked with initially, but NEVER HEARD BACK from him or the company as a whole.
I am sorry to say I would NOT RECOMMEND this company as their overall response on the day of my wedding and since after has been disappointing.

We rented a Sprinter (Mercedes limo-​bus) for my wife’s birthday. The 9 of us left Manhattan at 10:30am, visited three wineries /​vineyards out on Long Island, and returned by 7:30pm. The limo was clean, the driver was courteous, and account management was fine. The only thing that irritated me a bit was that the driver accepted tips from at least one of my guest, after I had tipped him 20%. Even still, based on this experience I would recommend M & V. My acct. manager (Bill) sent a bunch a pictures of the inside of vehicle, that were spot on. It’s probably easiest to just call them up and reserve by phone, rather than going online.

Tried reserving limo online to shuttle passengers back and forth to a wedding. Company called to confirm, when they heard it was a wedding told me that it would cost $ 400 more because they would have to pay their drivers differently. When I asked why they said it was a different type of service. I told them I only need someone to shuttle guests back and forth. Total scam would not use !

We booked them for our friends bachelorette party touring the Vineyards. The limo service was very prompt! Arrived 15 minutes early and even patiently waited for us as we were running late.
Our driver was nice as can be– Gary. He was super helpful too as one of our friends was a wee-​bit hung over from the previous night and had some issues riding in back; he helped her and even let her ride up front with him.
We rode in the Expedition limo (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) and it was overly spacious with 15 of us and the ride was incredible. We had tons of room for all the bottles of wine we bought! This is the limo for a luxurious feel, I swear!
We will very likely be using them again… just have to get all my ladies back together for another round!

Located in Commack and has a nice facility to look at all the different limousine and buses that can be rented for any occasion such as my wedding back in 2007. I would recommend them since a limo broke down and they accommodate us to the best they can without ruining my day, so they offered a free chauffeured trip to and from after our honeymoon. Not bad. I see they limousines plates everywhere.

Our Family does an NYC Annual Christmas Trip. There are 16 of us, so we utilize the services of M&V Limousines and their Limo/​Bus. To be completely honest, there were some issues last year. However, «The Team» at M&V responded in the most Professional manner and ensured that there would not be a repeat this year. They rectified all issues and made our Family Trip the wonderful experience that we were all looking forward to. We will undoubtedly be returning to M&V for our Christmas Trip next year and any other services we may require throughout the year.

If I could give a negative star I would. We used this company on our rehearsal dinner and they were 45 minutes for the pickup which caused us to be 45min late for the rest of the night. Fine. It was the rehearsal. We called them that night to tell them what happened and ask them to please plan to be early the next day. Guess what? They were late picking up our guests again and this caused the worst part of the happiest day of my life. I was literally in tears as we had to push the ceremony back 30min.
After all that they then pulled one of our limos early on us after telling us overtime wouldn’t be an issue and the entire wedding party was left at a park waiting for another limo to come pick us up to go to the reception! My parents are immigrants and I’m sure they took advantage of their naivety and good nature. DO NOT book these unprofessional con artists.

after learning my friend and her fiancé weren’t renting a limo for their wedding, i immediately called m&v to remedy the situation.
after explaining to art i wanted to gift this to them, he suggested a reasonable package in which we could rent a black car for 3.25 hours which would be more than sufficient as the hotel they were staying provided shuttle service from their reception.
stephen, their driver, was a gem and received rave reviews from the father of the bride and the bride and groom. thank you for rolling out the red carpet (literally) for my friends. they felt VIP all the way. the new black chrysler 300 was perfect.

These guys were so great in helping organize a wine trip for my class! They were very accomodating over the phone, and the limo showed up in great condition (and early!). We were so pleased, they did a great job! I’d totally recommend!

After the great experience we had and the great service, I’m surprised to see the other reviews. We rented the 1958 Rolls Royce Silver Wrath (which is what arrived) for our elopement. Our car arrived on time and our driver, Steven, was funny, accommodating, and professional. Steven was able to find a place to hold the car while we had our ceremony in Central Park after which we celebrated with champagne in the car and he drove us to our dinner reservation. The car was a real head turner as we drove through the city.

Maybe if we had been on a tight schedule it would be different, but we had NO issues or problems with this limo co.
For sightseeing and wine tasting excursion, we were completely taken care of. The driver was personable, friendly, professional, the ride was comfortable, the price was reasonable for the amount of time we used. In fact when we were calling around for prices I thought M/​V was truly interested in giving us the best possible price.

No one called to tell me there was an issue with the limo they just showed up and even the driver looked annoyed.
Another company I used called when they had the same issue and apologized & gave us an upgrade

first of all if you are looking at this company for your wedding go elsewhere for sure please I beg of you. anyway for fun we wanted to rent a limo to take to my bridal shower so we could drink & just have fun! I mean what could go wrong? of course just picking up & dropping off it’s hard to find a limo company that does that so we decided to try this one. biggest mistake EVER. let me tell the story of how this company basically messed up my entire bridal shower.
so as I’m putting my heels on the limo that was supposed to be here at 11:45 am is not here because he’s lost. I have no idea how anyone could ever get lost going to my house considering I am literally right off the parkway and off a main road. no one has ever gotten lost going to my house in the whole 24 years I’ve lived here. I let it slide and gave him directions to get here. of course like 15 minutes later he finally got here.
we expected a fun little ride to Merrick from Mineola. yeah so the radio did not work, the ac went on and then wouldn’t shut off so we were all freezing as it blasted us all with cold air. after awhile we start looking out the window because the drive seems to really be taking forever & not just because there is no music, plus freezing. he took us to the wrong RESTAURANT!!! 30 minutes away in MELVILLE! so I have all these people at my own bridal shower wondering where we are since we are now more than fashionably late. so we had to drive all the way back to Mineola basically then drive in the other direction. I’m sure there would have been some easier faster way but sorry I forgot my GPS. so that added another 25 minutes? we ended up getting to my OWN bridal shower over an hour late. we were supposed to get there at NOON exactly. not AFTER 1 pm!!!
since we were so late we had to rush through everything and I didn’t get to finish opening my gifts in front of everyone. shame I wanted to use them for my bachelorlette party. DEFINITELY NOT! STAY AWAY!!!
