Progressive used DAB shop and we were very pleased with the way they repaired our SUV. The estimate was swift and they called us back with details more than once. The final product looks great as well.
We are please overall with our experience.

By far the best auto body shop I have ever been to!!! Everyone is very professional and attentive to detail. I got rear ended on a Tuesday and by Monday my car look brand new and flawless. I would highly recommend Detroit’s auto body shop to anyone. You won’t regret it they will do a great job and half the time anyone will.

My poor Nissan Sentra was in 3 hit and runs in a month. No one left a note. I took it to Progressive and they sent it onto Detroit Auto Body. I was nervous at first. I only had the car for 6 months at this point. Brand new Sentra. My baby boy! These guys were amazing! They took such good care of my car and got it back to me a few days early! They matched the paint perfectly. I was so happy and relieved when I got my car back that I HAD to go and meet these guys in person and shake their hands. Thank you Detroit Auto Body! I went to Detroit twice with the same car. The first time they repaired the fender within in days and the only hassle I had to endure was on behalf of my insurance provider. Their customer service was excellent.
The second time was within the last month. This time my car was more than a fender/​bender and scrapped. The customer service the second time was superior to the first time. In my most recent accident the car was deemed a total loss. Detroit did not need to provide any further services to me and it would have been so easy for them to say sorry and good luck. However they chose to help me negotiate with my insurance adjuster. My insurance adjuster did not even attempt to spare the car. The adjuster wanted to remove the car immediately from Detroit premises and «return» the car later «if» they found it repairable. Detroit advised me otherwise and guided me on how to approach my adjuster in hopes of saving my car. In the end the car could not be saved. BUT Detroit further advised me on the value of my car and how to obtain more money for my car. I received $ 3,500 more for my car then originally offered by the adjuster thanks to Detroit Auto Body.

These guys are top notch! Great communication during the repair process and quality work. They had my truck repaired and back on the road the next day. I highly recommend Detroit Auto Body

I got into a car accident and had Progressive repair my car at this auto shop which was a big mistake.
They fixed and replaced the major damages but broke other things that were not damaged in the collision.
So I returned it for them to fix the new damages they caused…
Guess what. they screwed up again… they left a huge deep scratch on my car this time.
No third chance Detroit Auto Body !!!
I’ve filed a new claim through Progressive and getting it fixed myself at another auto shop.
Also, their paint job was not best as well.
Progressive should stop doing business with crappy places like this.

Just got my BMW 535i back from Detroit Auto Body. Lot’s of damage, fancy paint color, and complicated electronic features — they did a perfect job, finished when they said they would, and there were no unpleasant surprises. This car has doors that open at a touch (no key) and one of the handles was destroyed. Everything worked perfectly when they were done.
Larry and Eddie have worked on 3 BMWs for me — not always the simplest cards to fix — and every job has been perfect.

I was recently in a car accident, I took my car to Eddie at Detroit Auto Body, he was so professional and nice! When I picked up my car it was beautiful, the work was so perfect, my BMW looked brand new! Thank you Detroit and Eddie, you do such great work!

I recently got into an accident and had to take my 2013 Audi S6 to this shop. The accident happened on a Tuesday and I had my car back on Thursday of the same week and could not have been happier. Also, my car has a a very unique smokey black metallic paint and they matched it perfectly.

I have used Detroit Auto Body for many years. Their pricing is competitive and they do a great job (quickly!). They are straightforward with their estimates and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

As a woman, it’s hard to find an auto body shop, let alone mechanic, plumber or electrician that I feel is honest, trustworthy and personable. Luckily I did my homework and was referred to Detroit Auto Body.
I was very skeptical at first but Eddie was very honest with the amount of work and material it takes to do something right. I had so many questions and he took the time to explain every detail to me and most importantly, I felt like I wasn’t talked down to. After getting a couple more bids at other local shops, I took my car back to Detroit to get the deep scratch fixed. Their turnaround time was quick and done with perfection!
Thank you for taking the time to explain things to me and for your great customer service. I hope I don’t need to get my car repaired again, but if I do, I now have a place I can trust.

I had a bad accident in a new car about two weeks ago. Eddie at Detroit Auto body is the best! He and the crew handled my claim professionally and quickly. If you’ve had an accident or need any body work, Detroit Auto Body is the place to go! Highly recommended

They switched out parts they didn’t need to, nor were on estimate with aftermarket parts.

Do NOT take your car here. They are dishonest and will charge up the ass for nonsense. I came in for an estimate on a dent on my quarter panel and was quoted $ 676.00. The amount isn’t the problem though, hear me out.
The list of charges they gave me, verbatim :
Repair — RT Quarter panel, Add for Clear Coat
Color sand and buff
Tint Color
Remove/​Install — R&I rear bumper
RT Combo lamp assy
Rt side Trunk interior trim
Cover Car
This all added up to 11.7 hours of labor time, totaling $ 526.50. Tack on the materials and paint — another $ 134.40.
It wasn’t a substantial sized dent by any means, so I figured additional opinions were in order. I ended up taking my car to another shop and was floored! I kid you not, I cannot make this up. An associate came out, looked at my dent, and said, «You know, I can probably just pop this out. Let’s see if you get lucky today.» He pulled back the lining in my trunk and popped it out with his fucking hand. No trace of the dent whatsoever. I walked away having paid nothing.
So tell me something. How in the hell were these guys charging for taking off the rear bumper, inner lining, tail lights, and all the other crap — when they didn’t need to in the first place! I get it, it’s a business. You gotta make money. Whatever. BUT, on top of that, charging to repaint the ENTIRE quarter panel for one small dent? Give me a damn break. A repaint wasn’t even needed!
I got my dent repaired without paying for all the nonsense they tacked on. I’m sure the estimator knew the dent could be popped out, but instead of being honest, they completely bullshitted an R.O.
I can’t speak on the quality of their repairs simply because I refused to get ripped off. I am, however, calling them out on their blatant dishonesty and ridiculous pricing.
Let this be a warning to all prospective customers.

When a semi truck backed into my car with me in it, I was traumatized; I didn’t know where to take my car, but a friend HIGHLY recommended Detroit Auto Body.
I trusted them with my car, and I didn’t know what to expect, but they impressed me every step of the way! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They were upfront about the process and happy to answer my many questions. They even went above and beyond, so much so, I wanted to share my great experience and recommend them to others.
They’re really great, my car looks better than new!

All you need to know is they scratched my car.

These guys made my baby car look better than before my accident! It was in and out in less than a week. They sourced all of the parts I needed from the manufacturer. The whole front of my car was brand new! I almost cried when I saw my car. I was afraid she would be totaled, but they brought her back to life. It was like the accident never happened. Everything was handled by insurance and I am so grateful for Detroit Auto Body and State Farm. They make a great team!
I still look at my car and can’t get over how great she looks. Brand new hood, bumper, radiator, sparkly new headlights, the list goes on… It’s unbelievable!
Thank you Detroit Auto Body! You made the aftermath of my first ever accident surprisingly more pleasant than I ever could have imagined.

Had my car done here about two years ago.
Everything looked good, minus the car being ready 6 days after promised, and the insurance company refusing to pay the extra days. They offered to reimburse me after, but I didn’t bother. (i was hit by the other car. Not Detroit’s fault per say, but they could have been a little better with eta. They had the car in total about 25 days)
The problems started about 3 weeks after getting the car back. The AC was not working at all. I take it back, they advise they didn’t touch the condenser but could refill it for $ 100 or so, as that was the only issue. Confused as to how a new car could have that happen but not be from the accident… but… I take their word but refuse the refill.
I take the car home and pull of the front end, and find obvious body hammer marks, straightening out the condenser, that they claimed they never touched.
I take it back, and have to leave the car for 4 days, while waiting for them to check it out. They again, deny they touched the condenser. They tell me they tested it with the dye, and the condenser was fine and not leaking, but that the hoses were bad and needing changing and that was the issue.
I take their word for it, and spend $ 600 on hoses from the dealer. I change them all in about 8 hours worth of my day.
I take it to an AC shop and have it tested… the come back and tell me I still have a leak.
They test it… are sure as hell… the condenser where it had the obvious hammer blows, was what was leaking.
I have them check the original hoses that they said were leaking… they couldn’t find a thing.
I take it back… and of course, they won’t take any responsibility as its now been 6 weeks since they did the work.
Between the new hoses, having to pay for the new condenser that they should have fixed, missed work and refill… and for another rental car while the AC shop finished the work…
I am out $ 2200…
All because Detroit Auto Body couldn’t take responsibility for forgetting to change my AC condenser.
On top of that… the portion of the car they fixed… has a crack in it.

Detroit did an amazing job! Great people and great work! Thank you guys!

Just got our truck back from Detroit, had the hood repainted and mounted. They did an awesome job and were very reasonably priced. Everyone there is super friendly and helpful! Will be bringing back more business for sure. Thanks Detroit!
