Asked for a meatless burrito but got a bacon breakfast burrito anyways. Put your listening ears on lady. Food is good.

First timer here. Let’s just say I didn’t want to share my 5 rolled chicken taquitos with guacamole. My husband was determined to not eat late. Then he saw my order and went back inside and instead got himself an order of the adobada street tacos. Both orders came out quickly at separate times. No long waiting… it was super fast. I eyed his tacos but he looked at me and said nope don’t even think about it. So… I hear those adobada street tacos are tasty and one of their most popular orders. They looked so cute and perfect. Next time. The salsa bar included the mild spicy carrots which were sliced at an angle, peppers, lime wedges, salsa Fresca, verde, red mild, and red hot salsa. This place is sandwiched between the new Sajj House and Pizza Hut. No drive thru. Just a walk in style place with tables and chairs to dine in but I noticed a lot of people just ordered to go. Can’t wait to try more items on the menu.

Chipotle chicken burrito is huge, but not very good. It is basically chicken with Chipotle sauce. I’m sure there are better options

Best surf and turf burrito ever — Maritierra Burito! You can order by phone and pick up in no time. Great salsas and pickle carrots. Nice guys working there. I eat there almost everyday!

Excellent food and the prices are reasonable. The Chipotle burrito is large and tastes great, as does the Pollo asada burrito. Even the guacamole is good!

This is my favorite place to get Mexican food. Seriously. Everything tastes so fresh and authentic I can’t get enough! My favorite on the menu is the rolled tacos and carne asada fries. I went to Mañana’s just last night for a late night carne asada fries run. I absolutely hate beans with everything in me despite my love for Mexican food, and they accidentally added beans to my order of fries! I brought my fries back and the workers kindly cooked me a whole new plate of carne asada fries. Good food and kind employees!

The taste of food at this place is great. The street tacos have an awesome flavor to them. You are served chips free of charge and there is a salsa bar with hot carrots also. The soda fountain is self-serve. There is a restroom which is what you want if you have been drinking liquids all day to quench the heat. The prices are really cheap with a vast menu selection including specials in addition to combinations. The only thing missing is an aqua fresca self serve station but everything else here is great including the customer service and overall environment. There is also ample parking. This place is definitely worth a try and will become one of your favorites.

While this was my first time visiting this location of Mañana’s, I have eaten at their sister location in Alpine more than on several occasions. While my Alpine days were quite a bit ago, I do remember that the place never really stood out to me as a great taco shop even out in Alpine. So basically I kinda went in a bit bias from previous times. This resturant is located in a larger sized strip mall and has way more parking than stores they have there. Inside the place you have a pretty good sized dining area for eating in. Mañana’s was defintely one of the more cleaner taco shop establishments that I’ve visited, always a good virtue to strive for. Their menu doesn’t really have anything special on it, except a Mañana’s burrito. Other than that, they carry most of the typical stuff you’d find in a San Diego Mexican slop shop. The prices here are very reasonable with most of the burritos all being under $ 5.00, which is a pretty good deal these days of 2015. The salsa bar here( ) is really well stocked serving three different red sauces, one green, limes, picked onions and hot carrots. Hot carrots are extra for takeaway orders, which is fine with me because their hot carrots are very bland and mushy. Far as the sauces go, I found the lighter of the reds to be the most balanced ones with significant kick to them. Their California burrito( ) wasn’t very large, was actually quite slimmed down when you got it out of the wrapper. Their version of a Cali burrito includes asada, cheese, sour cream and fries( ). I don’t get the whole sour cream in burritos thing, but I gave it a try anyways. Their carne asada here was rather bland and unseasoned tasting. The whole burrito was lukewarm by the time I got home and it didn’t take me long to get home. The fries were okay and I did like that they didn’t drench the burrito in sour cream like so many places do. I thought the burrito to be a bit below average, although for under five bucks, it was quite a deal. They sell rolled tacos here In sets of 3 and 5 with your choice of chicken or beef. This is one of those places which don’t believe in adding lettuce or pico de gallo to the top without charging extra. Their rolled tacos( ) were quite thin and for some reason didn’t taste like they were made in house, perhaps frozen maybe? Either way, they weren’t very good tacos to say the least, at least the guacamole on top was delicious! Their Quesadillas here are quite large( ) and fully packed of stuff when you order a deluxe. The tortillas they use are pretty good and they give them a bit of a crisp on the grill first. Their guacamole and beans which they used in the quesadilla were quite good, the quesadilla ended up being the best thing in the meal. But Quesadillas shouldn’t be a highlight for taco shops. While I did end up eating my left overs, I don’t think I’d return to Mañana’s again, it was more on the average than a place that stands out. If anything here, their red sauces are quite good, along with their cheap prices.

Love this place. Very clean restaurant and the surrounding makes you feel like you are literally in Mexico. Employees are very kind and the best part is the food. Amazing food with some much flavor also for a decent price. Sitting area is pretty big to go with multiple persons.

Great food, great quality. I used to go to their Alpine location, so I’m stoked that they have it near Rancho. The salsa bar is the best I’ve tasted and the food is plentiful.

Me and my husband were there last Saturday for our first time and I got to say it was AMAZING! the restaurant was so clean and the workers were friendly. The girl at the register helped us answer all our questions on the food and had patience with us, it was so great we had to go back Sunday morning and same cashier girl was there and she even remember what we ordered the day before! I recommend this place for someone who has never been there! Definitely a thumbs up!

This place was ok. Nothing spectacular. Service was fairly slow. Seemed busy. It was average Mexican food. In San Diego you have to go above and beyond to stand out. I didn’t feel it here.

Lad Mananas is FANTASTIC!!! Their burritos taste fresh and their sauces taste fresh! They have amazing picked onions and carrots and they are always putting out new creations to keep it interesting. It’s a great place to get Mexican food that doesn’t destroy your world after you eat it. Tasty. One night some friends and I stayed late hanging out eating food and the woman at the register let us stay all the way up till closing and was super nice about it. Great people working there! Amazing place to eat ! Nicest taco shop I’ve ever eaten in ! From A to Z this place has it going on. The customer service is stellar. The young man working the cash register is sweet as can be and very helpful. This restaurant is clean and decorated nice. And last but not least the food is priced perfectly, you get what you pay for. And let me tell you the flavor of the food is to die for . I think the elite guy who complained about there being no music is crazy. Not everybody enjoys listening to elevator music while eating !!
