Realign specializes in eliminating chronic pain through the use of a non-medical therapeutic exercise technique called Posture Alignment Therapy. Customized ‘menus’ of simple stretches and exercises use gravity and a person’s own body weight to eliminate the underlying alignment issues and muscular imbalances that cause pain and injuries.
History
Established in 2011.
At the age of 27, owner of Realign, Maryann Berry suffered from chronic hip pain that left her in a wheelchair, even after consulting with over 20 healthcare professionals and undergoing invasive hip surgery. Through the use of a non-medical therapeutic exercise technique called Posture Alignment Therapy, Maryann is now fully recovered and has been wheelchair free for years.
Through this experience, Maryann learned first hand for herself that all parts of the human body work together as one unit, and that the human body has the ability to heal itself if given the chance. Maryann created Realign as a way to teach others what she has learned, and to empower others to take responsibility for their own heath in the same way she did.

After being introduced to Posture Alignment Therapy through the Egoscue Method, a therapeutic exercise technique that treats the underlying cause of pain by correcting posture alignment, Maryann went from not being able to walk, to being able to participate in CrossFit, surfing, running, and doing all of the activities that she loves. She has been wheelchair free for years, and she continues to do Posture Alignment Therapy on a daily basis to keep herself healthy.
Maryann is now trained as a Posture Alignment Specialist through the Egoscue University®. Her clients have had unprecedented breakthroughs in pain relief, as well as other unexpected improvements in overall health, respiratory health, weight loss, and increased fitness levels.
Maryann has 10 years of experience in the health field, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from UCSD. She is currently certified as a CrossFit Level 1 trainer and enjoys staying active by teaching an outdoor 5:30am boot camp.
