At first I was shocked by the fact that there wasn’t a single negative review (pretty rare unless the business is new). However, after having visited the shop it all made sense. Paul was very helpful and informative about the various issues I came in with (brakes, backlight, oil change). No matter how small the issue may have been he was attentive and took care of them in a timely manner.
I am generally very weary of auto shops due to the countless horror stories I’ve heard/​experienced over the years. Paul is trustworthy because he communicates clearly about what needs to be done and then GETS IT DONE.

Paul is great! I found his shop via Unilocal and the good reviews he had. I’ve been going to the Honda dealerships for years and always felt like I was getting ripped off and most likely so. I took our van in to Paul’s a few days ago and told him the symptoms of what was going on. He didn’t need to run a diagnostic, he had an idea of what the problem was and sure enough that was the issue. He fixed it ASAP and now the noise is gone! I also asked him about some of the items the dealership keeps telling us to do so he checked those and said they were fine.
Paul is honest and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be coming back to support his business. You should check it out as well.

called around to get some pricing on an oil change for my c240 and this was the place with the lowest price quoted and coincidentally it’s located just down the street from me. i asked when i could drop by and he advised i could come in immediately and provided me with a quote and time estimate. i showed up to a handshake and was in and out within a very reasonable amount of time. Paul seems like a very personable knowledgeable guy. to top it all off the guy rounds the bill down. who does that?

I have a Mercedes C240 that began to make some engine noise. I brought my car in and in 10 minutes Paul determined that the belt was probably the problem. I had Paul replace the belt and replace my front brakes and rotors. He did what he said he would do, for the price he said he would do it, in the timeframe that was given to me. What more can you ask for? Got my car back and the engine noise is gone. Perfect, I will come back.

This place is absolutely amazing! Paul has been working on my Honda for a few years now and always is honest and quick about the repairs that need to be made. Whereas clawson Honda and Honda north always try and charge me for things that don’t need to be fixed, Fresno foreign is straight to the point about what’s wrong with my car. Not only that, but his rates are affordable for someone in their mid twenties. A fraction of the cost compared to Honda dealerships. I would recommend this place any day!

Paul, the shop owner, is always friendly, knowledgeable and has the certificates on the wall to make anyone comfortable. In the few times I’ve visited his shop he has been straight forward with the difficulty of the job at hand, and has even recommended I do it myself. Because I am not a mechanic by any means I am happy to pay a nominal fee to have Paul complete the job correctly. I would recommended Paul because he is a knowledge mechanic, and his services are reasonable enough for a college student to afford. Thanks Paul!

Paul is the last honest mechanic. I would not trust anyone else with my car. After paying way too much for an oil change I was told to take my car to Paul at Fresno Forgien. Im so glad I did. Have never been happier with my car service.

Once again, Paul saved the day from the evil clutches of LIthia. After going to my lifetime oil change purchased at LIthia (that’s the only positive thing I have to say about them), I’m told that my engine mounts should be changed, along w/​the shocks for my hood and the air filter needed to be replaced. Their estimate, over $ 900. I call Paul and he asks me if my car is shaking at all, it wasn’t. So I take my car in to Paul and tell him the list of ailments Lithia said the car had. After Paul examined the car, I’m out the door $ 128 later. Thank goodness for Paul and his integrity, so lacking at other placed.

I was not happy with my last experience with mercedes dealership. so for my 2^nd oil change i decided to go see paul after seeing his Unilocal reviews. I am glad I chose to see him. His quote was much less than what mercedes dealership would have been. He even gave me a discount because I mentioned I heard of his business on Unilocal.
Overall, it’s pretty much a mechanic’s shop so there isn’t a waiting room to wait. However, he was nice enough to pull me up a chair near the garage while I wait for him to work on my car. He was very quick too. From the pictures, i didnt know if he did newer cars (for example: my car is 2014); but he was definitely able to work on it. I highly recommend him and I plan to go to him again.

I broke down in Clovis but going off of the Unilocal reviews I had my Clk 430 towed to Paul at Foreign Auto. He told me what he suspected it was over the phone & turned out to be exactly what he thought was. Excellent experience and very happy with the cost & customer service! He is an honest guy and I’ll be taking my car there from now on. Thanks Paul !!

This has been the second time I’ve taken my car here. Paul does an amazing job at a very reasonable price. He’s a honest person and that’s hard to find. I will continue to have my car serviced here. Great business and a great person.

My Mercedes was asking for an oil change and I did not want to go to the Mercedes Dealership. I called several places and either they refuse to change my oil or asked for the same prices as the dealership. When I called Fresno Foreign they gave me the best quote.
Ladies, I highly recommend you going there. They will not make you feel awkward although there isn’t really anywhere to sit, they will make you feel comfortable. Within 30 minutes my car was done! The gentlemen that helped me even gave me a discount so I only ended up paying $ 80 for an oil change. I would have gladly paid the full amount considering how fast I was out of there but, definitely appreciate him not taking advantage of me. He also fixed one of the fixtures in my car that kept falling out of place for free. It is so refreshing finding places like this that understand that just because you have a Mercedes doesn’t mean you’re rich.
I highly recommend this place to anyone with a Mercedes great prices and great customer service.

Paul was very courteous and straight forward. He used to work at Mercedes Benz and he knows the cars. I had a small oil leak on an E350 and he was pretty sure what it was over the phone. I brought the car in, he checked it over and confirmed the problem. He gave me a very reasonable quote, fixed it that day and I paid as advertised. Great working with him!

My car was not starting and I was looking for a shop where I could tow it. I called around to various shops, the one I was referred by a family member told me that they weren’t sure they’d be able to get to it that day but call back around lunch (it was the morning). I waited around called at lunch they told me that they would not be able to get to it. Frustrated, I started looking on Unilocal and ran across Fresno Foreign Auto. I called Paul and he told me I can get it towed to his shop, he told me he would try to get to it before days end. I left my car there and within a few hours he gave me a call and told me that my car might have a blown head gasket. I wasn’t surprised about this news, just needed it confirmed. Paul was very pleasant to deal with.
This happened 6÷7÷13.

my check engine light came on naturally did not know what to do so I called Fresno Foreign Auto and Paul said to come down. He hooked up the machine and it turned out to be the gas cap so he turned off the check engine light and I was done. So fortunate it was just that! Thank you Paul!

After reading the rave reviews on this auto shop I decided to take in my 1981 Mercedes Benz 300SD for some transmission problems I had recently been experiencing.
A few days prior to my visit I noticed my transmission had begun to shift extremely hard. I was worried I might need a flush or worse the transmission would need replacing. Paul gave me a quote for the flush over the phone that i found reasonable and I came in first thing the next morning.
My first impression was how friendly and helpful Paul was. He doubted that the issue would be resolved from a flush and went further to explain that sometimes these older Mercedes develop vacuum leaks which can cause hard shifts. Paul popped my hood and found that a vacuum line had busted. He promptly grabbed a replacement hose and replaced it and reassured me by checking my transmission fluid. He stated it was clean and advised I didn’t need a flush and that the vacuum leak was probably the problem.
During his inspection of my vacuum hoses he noticed that my accelerator engage pull system was very dry and he then sprayed some lubricant to loosen them up.
Paul did not charge me a penny and was helpful in getting me in and out of a situation that I thought was much more dire. He noticed my engine mounts needed to be replaced and then wrote up a quote for the cost to service them. After driving away my transmission worked like a dream, better than at any point of owning my car and it was much easier to engage the gas pedal as well.
I was very pleased with my experience, it’s hard finding a honest and decently priced foreign mechanic who works on Mercedes Benz. I will be returning soon, I highly suggest you stop by and pick Paul’s brain!

Paul has been my mechanic for quite a while and I have been very fortunate to have him. I have had older Volvos for years, and he has always been honest with me about repairs, and his prices are fair. Foreign cars (expecially Volvos and Mercedes) can be quite pricey to repair and Paul has never steered me wrong. I have recommended Paul and Fresno Foreign Auto to many people and he has always treated them (and their cars) well.

A fellow Unilocaler (thanks Janet S.) recommended this place so I went ahead and gave them a call. My brakes had been acting up and I was experiencing a brake fluid leak, so I was stressing out a little bit. As mentioned, I gave Paul (the owner) a call and we scheduled an appointment.
When I showed up, he took a quick brake from whatever he was working on to ask me about the problem. He popped the hood open and did a quick inspection and told me what the problem might be. I was expecting to pay $ 50 just for his inspection, but he simply recommended a place for the parts and told me to come back if I was ready for the repair. He gave me a quote for the repair too, which I loved because in my experience, mechanics say things like, «Oh, we’ll see what it comes to when we finish.» Paul gave me a set price and that was it.
As soon as I found the part, I came back to his shop and left my car for repair at his shop for a few hours. When he finished, the problem was fixed and has worked fine since then.
Just recently, my car had another problem (unrelated to the previous one) and Paul helped me out by inspecting it and giving me a quote and other advice. I’ve determined that it’s not worth it to repair since the car is old. But if I had to take it somewhere, it’d be to Paul’s shop.
This guy is super friendly and deserves your business. Five stars all the way!

Today was the second time I took my Mazda to Paul to check on some issues. He checked it out, fixed up the little bit that needed it, and didn’t charge anything. There is a part that I may end up needing, so he said to come back, but wanted to save me the money now. Paul is friendly, honest, and refuses to charge me. The least I can do is add another positive review.

I was having a water pump and timing belt replacement here and there was some padding on parts prices. Labor was fair prices (but 24 hours to finish work on 6 hour job), then some more padding on parts to cover extended labor times. Gone for long lunches, left early for early lunch…
Car motor runs good though sounds good though, no more leaking. Good work, no mess ups. Nice guy, nice crew, but make sure you know your stuff going in. Mechanics can’t help but get the most they can — especially starting out. Give Paul a chance!
