K-9 University

Whenever we have to board our little buddy Toby there isn’t any question that K9 University will be his destination. We started using them about 1.5 years ago and I’d guess he has been there 9 – 10 times for various lengths of stay.
The staff is extremely friendly and always follows any special instructions you may have for your dog. You can just tell that most of them really enjoy taking care of dogs. But the thing I enjoy most is that most of the staff seems to remember Toby when we set the reservation and enjoy having him.
Toby himself seems to like going. He is a people-​oriented dog (he can be quite clingy) and when we drop him off he doesn’t even seem to notice we have left so I figure they treat him like royalty. We usually put him in day care during his stays as well, for which we have been told he has a blast whenever he is in the play area.
When it’s time for pick up he is always bathed and smelling good. I can’t say enough about K9 University and how much we trust them with Toby. Management is very friendly and will listen to any concerns you may have, which I doubt you will!

I love love K-​9 University and all their staff. I adopted my dog, Grant, from Richardson Humane Society and K-​9 helps this rescue a lot. In fact they boarded Grant and all 8 of his siblings and mother before fosters were located. Grant went through the board and train program and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. I always get compliments on how well behaved Grant is. Josh, Andy, and the rest of the staff are wonderful. Thank you K-​9 University for all your great work!

I volunteer for a local dog rescue and I picked up a dog here who had been boarded here. I found everyone one I met to be very helpful and informative. The dog who I will call Gabby for now, I found to be well groomed and appeared well adjusted and happy. K9 University trains dogs too and Gabby walked next to me and never pulled. I was very pleased to hear they would give me a free lesson with Gabby basically to show me everything she had learned. How wonderful of them to offer that! Looks like a great place to get some training for your dog! Look for a follow up after the training session!

I have used these guys to groom Brandy on several occasions and they do a fantastic job and they listen to what I want and they keep records of each time so they know what needs done. They will be my choice for boarding if ever I need her boarded.

I know that K-​9 University is primarily known for its training but I have only used them to house our miniature Aussie when we were out of town. I had developed a long relationship with another dog boarder but had to use K-​9 University at Christmas as a last resort. That actually turned out to be a great turn of events.
Our small dog has some substantial vision problems and boarding her often makes her disoriented for days after arriving home. The staff seemed to understand these challenges and have been very accommodating. They even showed genuine interest in my dog’s condition and worked with her to make her comfortable.
They were very organized on drop off and pick up and had all of our belongings ready to go. The price was very reasonable as well. I will definitely use them again.
