I called and booked an appointment with George. He answered the phone himself!
I had trouble finding it because I didn’t see the number 317 in the address, didn’t see the sign or no sign, and it wasn’t listed in the big sign that shows all the places in the plaza. So it seems the sign is now something else – I forget the name but it was like gym spa or something like that. It’s next to the chocolate shop in the corner or the shopping plaza.
I go in and George gives me a massage intake form so I ask how much the massage is cuz most cheap places don’t do that; he gives me a discount cuz it’s my first time. Score! I marked that I didn’t want my head/​scalp massaged but okay with everything else.
I go to the bathroom and it’s okay but kinda weird that they have napkins for you to dry your hands-​lol
I get into the room to undress. It’s a private room. A chair is available for me to put my clothes on. I climb into the bed and immediately notice it’s super thin in size as well as cushion and makes a lot of creaking noise:(. Also, the sheets are super thin and not soft:(. I would highly recommend that George add a cushion on top to make it softer – they sell that as I’ve seen it once from a private masseuse table. Even those foam beds would help.
The massage itself was good. Extremely thorough so I can understand how many people will not be comfortable with the upper inner tights and arm/​chest area. However, you can mark that you don’t want to be massaged there or let him know. He kept asking me if everything was okay — pressure and if he could massage that area and adjust my underwear. I’m okay with all of that though one underwear adjustment kinda hurt cuz he put it too high-​lol. Also, he tried to convince me to get the head and scalp massage and started to do it and I was like ugh so he stopped – my hair got oily so I was a bit annoyed considering I specifically stated I didn’t want that:(. I thought it was weird that he put baby powder on me afterwards. I’ve never had that anywhere before.
I am surprised that no one indicated he smells like smoke and that his arms are hairy so both of that was gross. I asked him if he smoked and he took out a mouth spray-​lol. It was the hands that smelled that bothered me so another reason why I didn’t want him touching my head and face. His neck massage wasn’t that good cuz he would touch my head with his oily hands, plus then he used his elbows which is fine except then he brushed oil on my face and I could feel the hair on his arms – shudder. Otherwise, the massage was very good deep tissue. He has strong hands. He tried to crack my back but I resisted cuz I don’t like that.
I went to the front to pay and they said they don’t take payment so I paid George directly with cash. It seems he rents a room from the new place that offers facials so I am very confused. Still, I will come back cuz he is pretty good at massage and it’s a very good price.

Went to George, a lot of people recommend him. Their is no sign up now, but he is still there. You will feel much better after the massage, even though you have some stiffness pain. Worth the $ 30 for the hour & The hot stones is the best part!

I used to see george at the foot massage place I used to go to. So I followed him to this new place. I had been back a couple of times with my husband until the one time I went in by myself. Maybe it’s just a different style of massage but it’s rather inaproriate.

Seriously had the best massage of my life and an amazing deal. $ 20 for a full body massage & a real one in private rooms where you get undressed and get the full treatment (special oils, hot stones, Tiger balm on sore leg…) – vs a foot massage. (I gave a $ 10 tip and the massuse/​owner George earned it.) I went in w major discomfort in my knee and all the muscles leading to and from it and George dug in and got rid of the pain. Never been twisted so much, but he was totally knowledgeable and really gave me relief. Will be coming back here on regular basis for sure.

We are loyal customers! My family goes here to unwind. Had the hot stone full body massage. George’s hands work magic. My mama always gets the full body deep tissue. She has no complaints. Usually she complains that it’s not hard enough. No complaints about George. Fully recommend this place! Great service at a great price.

George is awesome. I’ve had hundreds of massages & I’ve had a kink in my neck every since I was in an accident 20 years ago. I called last not at 7:20 & was on the table by 7:45. My neck doesn’t hurt this morning! !!! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is they could have a more comfortable table and had scratchy towels.

The masseuse hyperextended my wrist and it still hurts. It’s been a week now. Very uncomfortable massage.
I get massages regularly and tried this place out. I’ve had a couple of bad experiences, but this was, by far, the worst.

I really like Blue Spa because the price is great and George is very kind and hospitable. The first time I went I was very pleased. However, most recently I went while recovering from a back injury. It was not so pleasant having George stretch me out. If you aren’t very comfortable with strangers seeing your bits and parts, you should shy away from this experience.

LOVE! I am very particular about my massages and this place is one of the best I’ve ever been too! Very professional, makes you feel right at home and most importantly, knowledgable about the muscles and body. George is a sweetheart and truly knows his stuff. I highly recommend to try it out ! Especially, if you’re a type of person who is aware of the aches and pains a muscle can cause. Thank you George !

FIRST OFF. If 0 stars or even negative stars was an option it would get a negative 1billion. i went in feeling pretty good with my girlfriend. i love looking for new great masage places, but i dont think this should even be called a spa… more like hell. i got an asian guy who would dig his elbows into my spine and put me in the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE postions ive ever been in, in my life and then would apply even more pressure. I walked out feeling like i should go to the hospital beacuse i felt like dying after. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. worst hour of my life

The absolute WORST massage I have ever received. So terrible that I made an account for Unilocal (which I love) just so I could write this review.
My bf and I called ahead to book an appt. we were taken into our room an HOUR after our appt time.
To top that off, both of our massages were beyond terrible. I had an Asian guy who would put pressure in the most uncomfortable and unusual spots on my joints. Poking his fingers into my skin over bone. I had to jerk my arm/​leg out of his hand so many times until finally I got fed up and just yelled «ow».
Don’t get me wrong, I love when masseuses use pressure and are a bit rough, but obviously over muscles– not bone.
He spent maybe 4 mins of the hour on my back, and by back i mean spine.
This guy was just awful.
Never going back again. Such a waste of 2 HOURS. And I left in more pain and anxiety than I walked in with.
Also it’s $ 30 now not 20.

Not the best ambiance for a spa but I love the way George does his massage and I frequent this place so much so that I feel bad having to write this bad review.
I normally do not have problems booking my massage by calling but Blue Spa has a quite uncommon tendency to mismanage their appointments. The first time, I showed up on time for my massage but then George comes up to me saying they messed up the appointment and he had to attend to another client and I was given to the Chinese guy (who by the day is rough and is a newbie). I didn’t enjoy that massage.
I let a couple of weeks pass and did not go back but after a while, I thought I’d give them another chance as I really enjoyed getting massaged by George. Again, I showed up on time and I was shown into the room. 10 minutes after my massage, George tells me that his sons booked him twice for the same time and that he had to give me to the Chinese guy as he needs to attend to the other appointment. What??? Not wanting to argue, I said okay.
For the second time, the Chinese guy was rough, was putting too much pressure even over bone, and perhaps wanting to impress, used hot stones which literally burned my back. I’ve had several hot stone massages before and I hate to exaggerate but this time I couldn’t help but get up from the table as the stone was really «scalding.» He only said, «oh its your first time?»
I still gave a $ 10 tip but for sure I’m not going back again, at least for a while, and I’m not sure if they deserve another chance.

I did not have a positive experience here. George was alone and was rushed when I walked in for my appointment. He led me to the room and instructed me to remove my clothes, very brusquely. I let him know that my feet and shoulders ached, and he began kneading the hell out of me. I constantly asked for lighter pressure, but he refused to comply. He then complained about the negative Unilocal reviews that he’d received. After the 10^th request to lighten up, he asked if I was Filipino, because «they work in the hospital and usually like a lot of pressure.»
He pulled down my bra and underwear without asking first, and «accidentally» brushed against my crotch a few times. He talked incessantly throughout my massage, kept claiming that the therapists from massage envy patronized his business, refused to heed my requests… it was awful. My family recommended this place and love George, but I left feeling as if I had been molested.

Hey $ 20 per hour for a FULL BODY massage?! You cannot beat that price! They actually really beat the Chinese massage parlors!
Remember you get what you pay for. If you are one of those who expects nice décor, superb customer service and massage, you will be disappointed. You will definitely need to go to other upscale spa places that will charge you about $ 70-​$ 150 per hour for full body massage.
I think that lady who worked on me did a great job given the fact that it is a Swedish massage not my favorite Thai massage. But it is really a great deal!
I will definitely go back again.

This place is a great little find! From the reception all the way to the end of the massage, service was truly great. For being a $ 20/​massage place, they make sure you come back for more, which is exactly what we did; my girl and i came here last night and we’re back here today.
Sherry was my masseuse, and she did not disappoint. She first asked me whether i wanted it hard or soft, which is a good question to ask from the start since at other places they don’t even ask. After telling her i wanted it hard, she did just that. Little Sherry has the strength of a dude, i swear, she did fantastic. And once that part was done she capped it off with some hot stone massage on my back and shoulders and neck that felt great and was a pleasant unexpected surprise.
So yes, this place has won our business and i see us being repeat customers for a good time to come.

This place just rocked me so good. I had Argan and he was incredible! He worked every muscle on my body and payed extra attention to my neck which was in desperate need of attention. It was fantastic from beginning to end. I can’t wait to go back. I wish they charged more per hour– it seems unfair only paying $ 20 for a complete out of body experience–

I recently moved from Culver City to Glendale, and I was sad to be leaving my trusty $ 15 massage place right by my house. It was one of those Chinese reflexology places that give you a full hour of massage for a steal… but sulk no more! I did a quick Unilocal search and came across Blue Spa, which had wonderful reviews.
I called to make an appointment, and drove over 10 min later. I was greeted by a young man at the counter with a friendly smile. The place was dimly lit, and smelled wonderfully of incense. Literally seconds after I was greeted, my masseuse came and introduced himself to me. He led me to a private room where I put my belongings in a box under the massage table and laid down on my back. Before any massaging, he asked how much pressure I wanted, which is always a good sign. He started to massage my scalp, which felt amaaaazing. Then went on to my neck and shoulders, arms, hands, chest, legs, and feet. I turned around, and got a full back massage, (he worked on the neck/​shoulder area again), and the backs of my legs. Then, he used a hot stone to massage all over my back which was to diiiee for.
I’m so happy I found this place. All of that for only $ 20 plus tip! And they’re open until midnight, so I might just come in my pajamas right before I go to bed hehe :)

The best $ 20 I have ever spent. Made all the $ 20 massages I’ve had before seem like they were only worth $ 5!
This is not your typical recliner chair-​dip your feet in water type of place. You are actually on a massage table. I had Argi (?) who i later found out was famous George’s son (who is mentioned in a lot of other reviews here) as my therapist. I told him I had knots in my shoulder back and quads and they were all gone after wards. It felt like a human foam roller, you know, if you foam rolled yourself that is how it felt like (but obviously so mucj better!). Plus points for the hot stone that he rubbed on my shoulders and back. *sigh*
Only drawback was that some of the sheets smelled like they never dried completely. I’ll be back though!

This place is amazing! Well George is amazing! He worked at a massage place where I go to before and now this place is his own.
At first I was hesitant of having a guy to massage me, so I got this lady to massage me instead, but man! She seemed so tired and didn’t like what she was doing. She was just like putting lotion in my body but not actually massaging me.
When I came in, George asked me if I had any pain so I said my back hurt. So he said maybe he’ll do my back if that’s okay so he can do treatment. When I had the lady, I was already not feeling good coz that wasn’t what I came for but George made up for it! He massaged my back and it was the best massage ever! I told him i didn’t like the lady and he apologized and he gave me even better massage. Now im very satisfied and happy coz of him.
Ill definitely come back to this place because of George and not to mention, this place is only $ 20 dollars for a Swedish massage??? Where else can you find a better deal! And I wanted to give him like $ 10 tip but he refused to accept it. He’s such a wonderful man, passionate with his job and knew what he was doing. I’m sure his place will become very successful :)
Overall, I recommend this place ! Go try and see for yourself :)

What can I say? Excellent, and perhaps the best massage that I’ve ever received. Yes, I did have George, but a friend also likes Manny. Simple — I will be going back. Also the music was good — simple, supportive, and sweet. And a decent facility… I was just happy with the service and a great massage: also responsive to knots, pressure, flexibility, and requests. HOT STONE. yeah.
(this is not a $ 20 massage in a shared room by the way — just to be clear)
