Everyone here was very nice. First, I went to a tent on the corner of westheimer and fondren and they guy wouldn’t repair my rock chip because I had State Farm insurance. So I came here and they fixed it with no problem. While I was here I also got my car inspected. I was in and out in no time.
Fast and friendly service.

Last year I took my car in for inspection and waited in the lobby. Back then the window’s were clear and you could see into the shop but I just read a magazine. They called me in and told me I needed new blades. I told them I replace the rubber with Honda replacements and they wanted to sell me new blades instead. I said no and they finished the inspection. I paid and and got it and when trying to start the engine clicked. I tried again and it started. Ran another errand and then the engine wouldn’t crank at all. I opened the hood they the battery cable was loose. WTF? Why does and inspection shop loosen a battery? I fixed it temporally with a shim, got home and couldn’t tighten it up. They had removed the battery post shim and put the cable back on. I was pissed. Happened to go by the other day and the lobby window/​shop window was now totally obscured and signs saying no one allowed in the shop. What reputable shop would do that? What are they hiding from the customers.

We’ve had our oil changed a few times here now and they’re always super fast, usually finishing within ten minutes or so. They’re really reasonably priced too, pretty comparable to most other places in the area.

This is my annual stop for inspection. Get in get out. Pretty quick and it’s on the same lot as my mechanic. My only complaint is that the bathroom is atrocious. I know I know, it’s a mechanic shop. But when you have a 5 year old screaming they have to use the bathroom and walk into that smelly disgusting mess; you have to figure out a strategic plan quickly. Well hey… it’s only once a year and I will just make sure next year I don’t have my niece with me or I will go to my mechanic next door (their bathroom is a lot better).

I brought my car in to get a windshield crack repair after seeing decent reviews for this place on Unilocal.The guys here said they can seal the two cracks and it wouldn’t spread after the first place I went to said these cracks were irreparable. I took it a chance and got it done.
Two months later the cracks spread and I went to get a refund. They gave me a difficult time saying that they didn’t see the second crack because it was a new one (yet they charged me to seal two cracks and they were right next to each other). Fortunately, I took before & after pictures to show them. They then said there are no dates on the picture so they can’t be sure if it was a new or old crack… fortunately again the iPhone 5 has dates attached to them and I showed them that. Eventually the manager stepped in and refunds my money but the overall experience has left a poor taste in my mouth. Had I not properly documented everything, I would be out $ 45 for poor service.

Great service and no wait for a oil change. The manager David got us in and out, answered our questions, and there was no pressure! Will definitely go back for all my car needs.

Usually very quick for inspections. I come here first whenever I need one done. No complaints.

I came here @ 5:30PM on a weekday, as this place closes at 6PM. But the guy gave me no gruff for coming close to closing time, ulike another auto mechanic place I visited further east (located behind the Exxon on Chiimney Rock).
$ 40 for your state inspection, and they did mine before I could finish reading the Houston Press! So I say roughly 10 minutes?
The lobby itself is fairly small, but there is a small TV to keep you occupied as well. Not the cleanest to eat your dinner off the floor, but hey this is a car place!
I’d recommend this to anyone who’s busy and doesn’t have time to wait 30+ minutes at a gas station, even though some offer $ 5 discounts.

There is usually never a line here for oil changes or inspections. Great when you don’t have much time.
Saturdays are a bit busier, so I recommend going during a week day.
The shop has a tv for you to watch as you wait, or you can pick up a Houston Press newspaper located by the front door to read.
