Birth doula services to support, educate and empower the birthing mother.

I have witnessed and experienced the transformative power of empowered childbirth, and it is my mission to support all birthing mothers in their own empowered birth. As a birth doula I advocate for the birthing mother, ensuring that she and her birth companion know their options in order to make educated decisions. and bring their baby confidently into the world.

History

Established in 2011.

I believe that facilitating compassion towards self and others creates a healthier community. For more than 10 years I offered support, compassion, and advocacy in the U.S. and internationally. I co-founded a nonprofit to serve resettled refugees in Phoenix, AZ, and worked and studied as a Fulbright Scholar in Cairo, Egypt. I also managed a Rape Crisis Center program for 4.5 years. During these challenging and rewarding years, yoga was my primary tool for experiencing self-care and compassion. My dedication to yoga as a means of healing led me to obtain my Yoga Teacher Certification in 2011.

In 2012 I underwent the transformative experience of childbirth and became a mother to an amazing new person. Becoming a mother taught me how yoga and the breath can be used prenatally, in labor, and postpartum to support an empowered mother. I completed birth doula training through toLabor and I provide physical and emotional support to birthing families.
