The Larchmont Tavern is an excellent bar and grill in the Village of Larchmont in Westchester County, New York. The bartenders are all wonderful(one of the bartenders is a Physical Education Teacher at my school Mamaroneck High School known as Chap). The waitstaff are wonderful too. It has been around for more than 80 years and has never disappointed anybody. The food is excellent. There are great sandwiches, pastas, salads and soups. Anything for anyone. Anyone who wants an excellent Larchmont Bar experience come here.

Just finished a meal here. Was so excited when we arrived. Loved the ambiance, booths and general bar feeling. Food is not great though. Had crab cake sandwich — probably foolish of me to order at a bar, but it is on the menu. They were horrible. Not so-so but terrible. My salad was good but nothing great. My husband enjoyed his soup /salad. Kids meals were kind of gross. Not recommended.

Unilocal? You don’t know bars. I decided to go through your list of Top 10 Bars in Larchmont and Mamaroneck. Granted, I’m only on 2 out of the 10, but the two both stink. I just had to double check the copy of your list to make sure I had LT right, and sure enough, it’s on there. Not sure if they’re in order, but #3 charged me $ 1.50 to get my Sidecar ‘up’. I decided on a Sidecar at LT, since it’s my barometer of a good bartender. Waiter came back to tell me that the bartender couldn’t make me a Sidecar. Why you ask? No blender. NOBLENDER. At lunch, I asked? Nope, at no time. So… you the lauded by Unilocal bartender couldn’t figure out how to make a Sidecar without a blender? How is it I CANMAKEITATHOMEWITHOUT A BLENDER? Wow. And you people at Unilocal voted LT as one of the Top 10 Bars? Think I’ll skip the other 8. Oh, and when my SO asked for his sandwich on a Ciabatta(yes, on their menu), it was brought on a roll. A regular Kaiser roll. The next part is the best. When I asked why it wasn’t on a Ciabatta… you ready for this… I was told: Oh, I thought you said you wanted a butter roll. No, it wasn’t buttered, and I would love to know what in the holy heck is a butter roll. SO also asked for fries and they didn’t come out, he had to ask for them. Yes, SO left 20%, because he’s a nice guy. Unilocal, you don’t know bars.

Very disappointing evening. Wanted to go for Sunday dinner with my wife and son visiting from SF. When we called we were told that there was little if no wait. We arrived 10 minutes later and were told by the hostess that she gave or table away. We told her we would sit at the bar to wait. We sat and the bar drinking for 15 minutes or so and then spoke to the hostess who said she gave another table away because she could not find us. Could not have looked very hard as we were the first persons at the bar by the dining room. She then told us it would be 20 minutes. No apologies, no appetizers, no nothing. We spoke to the night manager who was no more helpful than the hostess. It will be a cold day in hell before we go back there. There are so many other places to go along the Sound Shore, why go here?

Very solid food and extremely kid friendly. I prefer the buffalo wings here to others in town. And I like to think I know about buffalo wings, being a native of upstate ny where wings are done right. Hard to find a great buffalo wing downstate. Also love the balboa, most of the other sandwiches and the salads. I’m not a huge fan of the burgers here, but the English muffin they serve it on(at lunch, special request at dinner) is a nice touch so I get them sometimes. Fries are good too. I like to drink the LT ale. Always nice when a pub has a beer with its own namesake. Very British in a faux way. But most important for me right now, They are so great with kids. They have a good kids menu, and are super gracious about the mess left behind by our 1 and 3 year olds.

Why. Why. Why. Yep, went again. And there was a LARGEDEADFLYINTHEOLIVES. And they didn’t care. Took it away, and never said a word. Didn’t even really listen to us. Just god awful.

Food is fairly good; not the greatest selection in town and price/portion ratio is not something that will put a smile on your face. Freshness is good, but not much here for the healthy eater. I went with the fish tacos, which is probably your best bet in that respect. Otherwise, service is prompt and friendly and we were able to enjoy an outside table.

Really nice place for pub/bar food. The interior is nicely divided between the bar and the dining area, which makes for a more quiet experice if you want it. The food is your standard menu for a bar with a number of really good specials. I have the wings which were OK and a roast beef special, which was above average. Salads and burgers looked really well done and not overly greasy like some other places.

Best pub food in the area. Way better than Sherwoods. Let me stop this review and talk about something important: The French Dip. It’s a simple sandwich: bread, roast beef, and natural gravy. What’s not simple is how awesome it is. It’s other worldly good. Best French dip I’ve ever had by a mile. Make sure you pour the juice all over the sandwich before consuming. One of my favorite meals on planet earth, thank you LT. They opened in 1933, so they’re doing something right. Expect to wait during peak hours, as it can be cramped inside.

What a surprise. We were so happy with our food and the service was great! We showed up early and continued to have nice service even once the place was packed. My husband loved the boar burger on special and my Doc Weston chicken sandwich was so delicious. And did I mention they play fun, family friendly Motown songs? Overall, a fun experience!

Have been back many times. The specials are always great. Specialty burgers(Bison and Boar) are must haves. There are a lot of places with great food but LT’s has service down pat!!! They are very busy on Friday and Saturday but, he that means something.

I came here for the first time tonight and had a good experience! We where seated after a few minutes even though it was a very busy night. We ordered without any problems(we wanted to change some things). The food was served quite quickly. We all had the burger and it was very good! A giant portion with some tasty sides(coleslaw, lettuce, tomato, pickles). I’m not a burger fan but this burger was really good! I ordered it well done and even though it was well done it wasn’t dry and burned like it mostly gets when you order well done burgers. So thumbs up for that! The place was very loud though, it is kind of bar-ish place to so I guess that’s part of the restaurant. The staff was nice and flexible, good service! It get’s three stars!

I’ve passed this place many times while in Larchmont; I finally decided to give it a try last night. The place is small but cozy, it’s set up like a typical bar-restaurant with the bar in one room and the dining room in the other. Décor is simple with wood tones and memorabilia hanging on the walls. The service was prompt and friendly. We were a party of 5 on a Saturday night with no reservations and we were seated within 15 minutes. It was a bit noisy but it comes with the territory of being a bar-restaruant. The food left something to be desired, I had the«Old School» sandwich which contained grilled chicken, bacon, and arugula on a baguette. It was just okay — a well put together sandwich but it lacked flavor. Another member of my party had a meatloaf sandwich and he said it lacked seasoning. Overall, I don’t think I would try this place again. Perhaps if I lived closer to Larchmont this would be a go-to place for me, but it’s not worth the trip for what it offers.

Listen, I’m telling you. The Beer is Nice & Cold on Tap, I am drinking the LT on Draft. I’m sitting @ the Bar with all TV’s on Football//let’s go Penn State!!! The Bar & Restaurant is busy; what’s going on??? Just a regular day @ The LT.: OK. Now on the food, I had the French Onion Soup, was passable. It would have been great but it was COLD& you know how I feel about Cold Soup. To better news was the Aturo Buffalo Wings, Excellent!!! Just the right amount of Spice. The Maryland Crab Cakes, Out of this World, you got to have them with Tartar sauce. Delicious!!! I also had the Cole Slaw; hits the spot-= Perfect!!! The service was Great, never had to wait for Anything. All & All EXCELLENT Experience. I Highly recommend the Larchmont Tavern…
