I was fairly impressed. My daughter is a repeat customer and turned me onto this place. She ordered seafood phở noodle soup. It came first(even though we ordered spring tool appetizers), and she enjoyed it until two hours later when her stomach was upset. Cannot be sure how that happened but I always am cautious. I ordered their Vietnamese specialty with grilled onions and it was good and my son had beef with noodles which He and I Thought was tasty. Spring rolls were below average. Sauces were flavorless. $ 35 for three was average. I will try it again but my daughter will not go back… you know how that goes. Ill after something and it takes quite some time to overcome. Service was ok. Some confusion and the dinners came out before the appetizer and all at different times. They seem to be learning on the job.

First time here and wanted something different. Ordered take out and ordered Crab Rangoon, Pot stickers and shrimp summer roll they were excellent I really enjoyed the hint of mint in the rolls. Also had the fried noodles these were ok a bit bland for my taste. But overall a nice experience.

Ordered #12 banh mi. Was very good. Bread was warm and fresh. For some reason on the menu it said«butter» but I did not bother asking. I checked the online menu and it had«liver pâté» and yes I was happy there was liver pâté!!! Mmmmm so good. Also had pad see ew, good but too much onions. Never had onions in pad see ew before.. will have to go back and try the phở.

Nestled in a strip mall and Lombard, this is the closest Phở join near my place. And I have to admit, I’m glad it ain’t shitty. Phở Dac Biet and pork/shrimp roll is my go to menu. Especially now that the winter is finally here. Huge bowl with clean tasting broth paired with Spring rolls takes my hangover away with quickness.

It’s the closest Vietnamese café from my house and I’m a big fan of their Spicy Beef Noodle Soup and Beef Cube over Tomato Rice. The portions given out are more than adequate for the price that you pay. The recent expansion of the Lombard location bodes well for the many customers that want to eat in the café. I am a repeat customer and will continue to patronize this tasty establishment.

This place is good for portions, but it isnt for everyone thats trying to watch their wallet(spending less). The wait time for food could be dangerous if your hungry. I got forgotten on twice. Maybe im casper. If its your first time at phở’s i say give it a shot especially here.

Service was incredibly slow. I waited more than 45 minutes and had many people served before me. My phở was cold.

I’m not here to review the atmosphere/service, but mostly the food. My mom always buys take home food from here and it’s the most Americanized-bleh tasting Asian food. I’m Viet so I know how certain foods are suppose to taste and this place don’t know what they’re doing. Phở Ha is way better.

I used to like their phở, but I don’t think they practice safe food handing as I get SICK more often then not after eating here. My girlfriend and my coworkers also complained of being sick after eating here. I never go back to this place. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I USED to come here a lot because we love their food. But after several disappointments from their customer service, we stopped going. We never been so disrespected in our life. I fully remember, October 10th around 7pm(we are beyond pissed off that I really tried not to forget the date and time) when I called them for to-go order, first when I called them this asian guy who answered hung up on me; but even so, I called again and placed our order. He promised 25 – 30 minutes to process our order. I know we didnt come early because when I made the order, we were driving from downtown Chicago and we wanted the food ready for dinner when we get home; I am pretty sure that drive took longer than 30 minutes. Then, when I arrived at the restaurant, NOTEVENSINGLEONE of our order was ready yet and this small asian guy who took my order from the phone doesnt even gave a damn about us. He just kept on fulfilling other people’s orders BUTNOTUS and NOT even a SINGLEAPOLOGY has been said. TOOBAD they DONT have nametags so we cant really report them. He’s beyond rude and a person like this shouldnt be working in a customer service. I asked for a manager but he said he/she was NOT around, and we know it was a LIE. We ended up walking away WITHOUTFOODINOURHANDS! VERY disappointed and promised ourselves to NEVER eat from this place again! Since then, we are telling friends and family to avoid this place! Beyond disappointed!!!

My husband comes here a lot because he works down the street. Today we were in the neighborhood and he convinced us to lunch here. The food was pretty good. The shrimp summer rolls were not the best I’ve ever had but good. The spring rolls were pretty good. My husband got the phở which I didn’t try but he claims is good. A few of us(including myself) got a bibimbap which was surprisingly good. My kiddos split a sesame chicken lunch special and inhaled it. But the service was god awful. My husband’s phở came out first. Our bibimbaps came out like 10 minutes later and we waited another 5 minutes for the kids sesame chicken. If we needed anything, we had to stand up and wave around. The table behind us was snapping on the waitress because they had been waiting a very long time for food. They’re clearly understaffed for the lunch rush. This might have been a 4 star review if it weren’t for the service.

I love Vietnamese spring rolls. The place I visit in St. Louis Bahn Mi So #1, rated #1 spring rolls in the city I have found impossible to find anywhere… HOWEVER! Noodles Phở U shrimp summer rolls are the closest thing I have had to the ones in the Lou! All the way down to the use of the mint! I could eat 20 of these things at a time. GREATJOB!!! My favorite dish is the Beef over Tomato rice. This dish is so delicious!!! The richest beef flavor in the bed of chopped beef cubes with a hint of teriyaki payed out on top of the best rice I have ever eaten. It’s called tomato rice and it was hard to wrap my head around when I first ordered it but I have ordered it every time since I first got a taste. It’s a light tomato flavor that is not only enjoyable by itself but I also find myself craving this flavor, it’s a tomato flavor that one is not used to, light and sweet yet still recognizable as tomato, hard to describe but very easy to devour!!! The flavor is further enhanced when paired with the teriyaki beef that lays over the top of it. I’m not kidding this dish is an absolute home run! I LOVEIT! I also enjoy the Spicy beef noodle phở — great for when your feeling chill or sick or cold and sick, or if you just want some yummy soup! Warms you nicely and the fresh basil and lime really makes this dish pop! I’ve never had a bad dish here or a bad experience with the staff. I love that this place is only a 5−10min drive from my house!!! Keep it up folks!

Ok. I’m from California, where the Phở is awesome. This place was… okay. I still gave it 4 stars because our group ordered this one tofu dish that was seriously epic. It was so good. I ordered beef brisket phở, but the waitress told me to get a different one that had brisket and another type of meat. So I did, but that tasted like crap. I shouldn’t have listened to her. Next time I will get the vegetable broth phở with tofu. That is what most of the others at my table got, and it looked beast. Mine was a little too heavy. I hope to return here to order the right phở!

I’ve been on a Thai kick for awhile now trying to find the best Pad Thai, and they didn’t disappoint. I ordered chicken pad thai and crab rangoon takeout. Upon entering, the nice host pointed me to the«pick up» area. There are two separate spaces, a dining room and take out. The cashier was friendly and spoke clear english so my order was correct. Awesome. I thought the food had flavor although the noodles had bites of super spicy. I’ll be back.

Original Review: Great food, but they bring things out piece by piece. Who brings out the appetizers last??? I waited until my whole table finished their dishes-then my dish was served, followed by an appetizer.

Good food, value for money, staff is nice and the service is fairly quick. This is on of my «safe» bet restuarants where I can go anytime if I dont feel like thinking too much about where to eat. Must try their shrimp summer roll appetizer, and crab rangoons. I once tried out their Pha and it was very good. Another good option for vegeterian friends that I found here was their pepper tofu. Now I am not a tofu person, but this particular entrée is something I can have any day. It has crispy tofu pieces, that melt in your mouth, literally. So fresh and delicious. Lunch portions are huge, comes with fried rice if you want without extra charge(love that part), or steamed rice/brown rice, crab rangoon or egg roll. Everytime I have been there, ive had so much good food and never spent more than 11 dollars. Great or what…

The phở at this place … let just say, I had better. However, the rice dishes at this place are decent. For example, their beef cube over tomato rice and beef teriyaki over baked rice are really good. Do not drink the water at this place, they give you tap water and the water sometime tastes like soap. The waiters at this place are really nice. The last time I came to this place, I accidentally spilled water on the ground and the waiter was really nice about it. I come to this restaurant every other week since it is the closest phở restaurant to campus. Even though the phở is not that great, it still satisfies my craving.

Noodles Phở U is my absolute favorite lunch spot. I usually go for one of the lunch specials(thai basil is solid) and a taro milk tea. Everyone that works here is always nice and greets you warmly. The food may not be authentic – i can’t comment on that part– but it’s really tasty and a generous sized portion. With my tea and lunch, I generally spend $ 10 – 12 but I always have some left for later in the day. The con is that sometimes they keep you waiting during the lunch rush, even if you put the order in advance. This is mostly due to the sheer volume of orders that they do. I decided to wait till a little bit later on Friday, so I put in a web order for 1PM and it was ready and waiting for me. There’s a lot of lunch choices in the area, but Noodles Phở U is the only place that keeps me coming back on a regular basis.

I’ve only done take out from here so far but it’s been a good experience. The storefront restaurant is a little bit small, but clean and efficient. I like their system because the printed ticket also has a packing list. They are fast too. As for the food, I think you have to try a few things to see how they compare with other restaurants that offer the same items. I like their food well enough but it’s a bit of a surprise how different some dishes are from other Thai restaurants that I know. I feel the food is fresh and that you get a lot of food for the dollar. So long as you keep an open mind and not expect every dish to look and taste like the same dishes that you have eaten elsewhere I think you’ll be happy.
