The Lompoc Wine Ghetto is a loose collection of wineries, including many production facilities. This unique two-block industrial complex has been almost completely taken over by the wine industry. It’s seventeen tasting rooms represent more than 20 local brands.
You won’t find great estates with rolling hills here, nor opulent tasting rooms with soaring ceilings. What you will find is world-class wine, presented in a laid back atmosphere. Often the tasting rooms are inside production facilities, so don’t be surprised if the person doing the pouring is also the person that made it.
Come spend a weekend with us tasting exceptional wines in this very non-traditional setting. If great wine is what you seek, come pound the pavement for a while and discover the treasures of the Lompoc Wine Ghetto.

History
Established in 1998.
In the late 90’s Lompoc had become an attractive location for wineries in the area due to its close proximity to the new wine regions of the Sta. Rita Hills AVA, inexpensive real estate options, and cool weather, which kept climate control expenses low.
Longoria Wines was the first winery to start production here in 1998. After that a few more set up production here including Sea Smoke, Fiddlehead, Palmina, Stolpman, Presidio and to name a few.
Although there were a few tasting rooms open during the early years, it wasn’t until some zoning changes in 2010 that the number of places to taste increased dramatically. Over the space of 18 months, the number of tasting rooms went from around five to thirteen and beyond as we welcomed in more names such as Jalama, Joseph Blair, Evening Land, Zotovich and Arcadian and more (see the complete listing on our profile).
Currently there are seventeen tasting rooms, pouring more than twenty labels.
