Never before have I come in contact with such rude and vulgar people in a business situation.
Came in with my mint Silverado with 19k on it. Explained what I wanted for it and what I NEEDED my new payment to be for me to make a deal. Sales staff ran my credit and said everything was great my payment would be exactly the same as it was on my old truck but the finance staff told me the best option was a lease and that GM would finance the buyout at the end of the lease guaranteed.
Things then started to go south. Keeping me at the dealership for 6 hours, suddenly my payment is double what was advertised in their advertisement.
I requested my keys not once but twice and was refused and told to go sit down. Several times I had mentioned I need to go, that my blood sugar was off and I was not feeling well. All I was told was to sit and wait.
At this point I wouldn’t have been able to pass a sobriety test if I was pulled over and just wanted to leave — reluctantly signed whatever they put in front of me just to leave.
From DAY ONE — I tried to return the truck to the dealership in order to get my old truck back or modify the payments to what I was promised. I was met with hostility each and every time I spoke with someone at the dealership — being told «you signed a contract now leave» «you shouldn’t have bought a truck you can’t afford» and other colorful things. Sorry guys, chances are I make more than the majority of your DEGRADING, RUDE, and CONDESCENDING staff.
I filed FIVE complaints with GM Financial who agreed that I was manipulated by the dealership but unfortunately couldn’t help me aside from bringing it up to the dealer.
Fast forward SIX MONTHS I made all payments on time while continuing a futile attempt to return the truck. At this point I call GM and ask how do I return my lease? Bring it back to the dealer they tell me. Also mentions on their website that I can do this.
Contacted Quirk to return the vehicle and was told they are not a storage facility and that they would tow the truck (at my expense) and have it left on my front lawn. When I got upset over this I was told by Marty of their sales staff that he would slap me in the face and put me in time out if I were one of his kids.
I call GM Financial back and explain just how fraudulent this transaction was (again) and how I have now been threatened with physical violence from a staff member in addition to being refused my keys during the initial transaction which is in FACT ILLEGAL. So everything that has transpired since is NULL and VOID.
I then filed a complaint with the BBB, the Dealership association, and the NH Attorney Generals office. I am now in the process of retaining an attorney to file suit against Quirk Chevrolet.
Sorry Quirk — I’m not allowing this to go away. I have purchase Chevy Vehicles my entire life and have NEVER had a problem until coming to QUIRK.

I bought my first American car and scheduled the first oil change/​service with the department for 2:30pm. My day was shuffled around and I couldn’t make my 2:30 appt so I called the dealer around 11AM and they were able to take me right away. I waited for my car to be completed and it was done within an hour.
Once the car was completed I remembered that I was having issues with the Bluetooth and my iPhone, I mentioned that to the service guy and he applied applied some software updates on the same day which took care of the issue.
Overall the dealership was very accommodating. The only reasons I’m not rating 5 star is I feel the dealer should have realized my car’s software was not up to date and recommended the update without me complaining about an issue.

As truck buying goes, this was pretty easy. We had looked around, knew what we wanted and they had it. After making a phone call to them, we knew the price was the best around. The salesman Steve was very knowledgable and walked thru every option including lining up multiple trucks to look at. It still took forever to get paperwork done but they still made it easy considering.

Was interested in test driving a car they did not have in stock. They said they’d email me when it arrived. Several hours later, I get an email saying it’s in, and would I like to come in for a test drive that night?
Me: You probably need a day to prep it, right? OK to come in tomorrow night?
Quirk: Sure thing! What time?
Me: How’s 7:00PM? Can you confirm the car will be ready for a test drive by then?
Quirk: Yes, this vehicle is ready for a test drive tomorrow.
Me: OK great, see you then!
Fast forward to the next day.
Me: I’m here to test drive the car.
Quirk: Great! Let me just get your name, address, phone number and email.
Me: Sure. here you go.
Quirk: Now, the car hasn’t been prepped, so can only be driven in the parking lot.
Me: (walking out)

This review is in response to a negative review I’ve recently read concerning an employee in their service department named Jed.
Although I don’t own a Chevy, and have never taken my vehicle there, I do remember Jed from his time at VW. In the few interactions we had, I can always remember leaving the dealership after a friendly conversation with him. Jed was always professional in his demeanor, never attempted to sell me things I didn’t need, and was overall, always a pleasure to deal with.

On May 23^rd, I left feeling as though this dealership had no regard for my clearly expressed needs, desires or budget and wasted my time in May.
I saw an ad in the paper for a 2015 Equinox models for $ 20k and e-​mailed to ask if there was one with a sun/​moon roof to meet my budget. Frank (the manager) responded by telling me they have a ton in stock and he’s sure they have one to fit my needs/​budget
When I came in, they had me go through an exhaustive q/​a process where I again, explained my budget. At one point in the conversation, it sounded like the Equinox with moon roof was FAR out of it and I said that I probably should stop there. However, they convinced it could be when I took off the discounts. I proceeded on a test drive that was in itself a very uncomfortable experience. I loved the car but the sales rep only let us go a very short distance.
When we got back, Frank showed me a $ 600 – 700 payment (edited because I forget exactly what it was). He was also reluctant to show me the price. I immediately knew we were too far apart to come to an agreement and was turned off. When I pulled out the flyer I had mentioned several times, he told me Chevrolet tells him to pick X amount of models to put at the lowball price and that aren’t moving. If I was told the price range in advance, I would’ve spent the time looking at the Trax. Instead, I felt my needs were ignored and my time was wasted.
On 8/​29, Frank reached out to me on this to understand where they went wrong to show he cared. He was hoping I might take it down and I did rewrite it slightly because I am likely not your typical buyer. I am a salesperson who does a lot of research before coming in, knows exactly my price range and wants and communicates them immediately and I will walk away if the solution does not fit. I understand that the car buying process is set up to make everyone feel like they got a good deal (regardless of what was paid) and that perhaps most (or at least many) cars are sold through anchoring techniques and people spend more than they expected. I will discount the experience slightly for that reason and disclose my perspective so that others can take it for what they will. I feel the same way, regardless.

Jed in the service department has helped me out quite a few times. He is a pleasure to deal with and has great communication with what is going on in the process. He explains what is going on and if there is a way to get the repairs done without breaking the bank (as much as possible). Ie: he won’t screw you! If you’re in need of someone that will take care of you and keep you in the loop with what is going on with your repairs he is your guy.

Raphael was a great salesman and I bought a car I hope to have for many years to come. THAT being said, when I told them I had to transfer money they said no problem the check would not go through til Tues or Weds. They must have walked the check to the bank. My transfer hit Monday after lunch and Quirk had already caused an over draft. WARNING.
Stay clear of a guy named Jesse. He tries to get you to buy insurance and when I called re: above and asked if Quirk could at least send me a gas card he not only was NOT helpful. He wasn’t even apologetic! On a positive note, the woman who answered the phone is a gem.

I am not sure why folks are having issues buying cars here. I bought a Corvette Z06 with the Z07 package. I did my research and made them match my price. Craig Russell worked his tail off, after I walked away from their first deal. Don’t get emotionally invested, do your research and they’re easy to deal with. My car typically sells above MSRP with low offers on trade in. I traded in a Buick Regal GS at full value and walked out the door well below MSRP on a car nationally tough to find.
Like most places and big purchases, be an informed buyer, don’t let them manage the process and do it your way and it’s an awesome place to buy.

I was pretty shocked when I went to buy a new car and the salesmen was more interested in selling me something I already stated I did not want. He was not interested in locating a vehicle I wanted but was more intent on trying to get me to settle for something that was on the lot. (Note this was over the color of the car) Another Chevy (in Portsmouth) dealer was more than happy to locate the car we wanted (he even went out of state to find it) Also, the salesmen at Quirk was argumentative and unable to remain calm in negotiation. I do not know if this is Quirk’s standard operating procedure but it certainly left a bad impression with me.

Terrible… Will NEVER return to this dealer. Sales staff, from the salesman to the manager, is absolutely the worst I’ve dealt with in 30 years of car buying.
There are good dealerships in southern New Hampshire but this is not one of them.

What a difference a year makes! I have not been happy in the past with the service department, but when I brought my Chevy Traverse in today there was a notable difference. I received fantastic service from all the people I came into contact with. My tech Chris called me as soon as the diagnostics were done and they isolated the issue with my car. They listened to my needs and had a rental ready that would work with my family. My car was fixed correctly and in one day. I could not be happier! Thank you!

I had a 9:30am appointment. My wife and I showed up a little early as to be on time. Upon arrival we were sent to Fred. When we told him we had an appointment for 9:30am he said he couldn’t find it. He took us in and told us we had 3 cars in front of us and it would be about an hour wait. This was at 9:05am. Why, if I took the time to schedule an appointment, are there ANY Cars in front of me? Is it because oil changes are free as part of my package that we don’t deserve the respect and quality service as «paying» customers? Next we went to the waiting area. My car wasn’t done until 11:00AM! This is unacceptable. My wife, who suffers from a bladder disease, was extremely uncomfortable. Also, I had an appointment for 11am that I had to reschedule due to this 2 hour wait. If this is how quirk does business, I’ll never be back. Not even for «free» oil changes.

I was a first time buyer (completly on my own with no cosigner). I was a little frustrated with financing. However, it was mostly my own fault. In the end, I got the exact car I had my heart set on! I am absolutely in LOVE with my new sonic. I’m a young professional and I no longer feel embarrassed driving to work in my old clunker. Mike and Leroy were great to work with! As I said before, this was a new venture for me and no matter how much I reasearched online I had questions about EVERYTHING and they were patient and available to answer them (even when I would go home and have another question). I am excited and feel reassured knowing that I have a new car that has a warranty and amazing safety features. I think that’s especially important for me at my age, I can budget on a monthly payment not a $ 1000 repair bill! I used to always buy volkswagens, but my trip to quirk quickly changed my mind. I thought I would never like another brand of car, I feel like I won the lottery! My car is Eco friendly and 85% recyclable, beautiful, edgy and sporty, it is comfortable, has great gas mileage, user friendly, the space is not too much, it is practical to my lifestyle and I definitely feel like I got more features for my money. I went in to quirk thinking I knew what I wanted, and left with more of a car than I thought I could reasonably afford. I am definitely a customer for life!

After experiencing the Service Dept., I will NEVER buy a car here. The Service personnel, one woman and one of the men in the Service Dept., are dismissive and condescending beyond belief. They fixed a recall ignition switch on my car and then «forgot» to see if the rekeyed ignition key would fit the door locks, which they did not. I had to go back, no apologies. In fact, they seemed to indicate there was no way they could have messed up. To get it rekeyed and get a sticker on my car, they said it would be two hours and even though I had an appt., no loaner car was offered, even though it was their fault to start with. They left me in the waiting room where the TV is blaring, and there is no coffee. I called the GM recall number, explained the situation, and THEY called Quirk Service. The «best» part of the whole experience was Sean, the Service Manager, who actually listens, is polite, professional, and pleasant to deal with. Sean is a good guy; don’t know about the rest of their Service Staff. I didn’t see any customers looking around to buy cars either. I will never go back.

Stay away if you are a young woman looking to buy a car without a male companion present. Seriously.
I visited this location in July 2013 while researching SUVs. My husband stayed in the car with our son, so I walked in solo to take a look at a new Traverse. After a while of walking around, I was directed to a salesman who gave a half-​hearted attempt to show me the vehicle, and then actually said, «so why don’t you come back when your husband is available, and we can talk about the numbers».
Congratulations for taking me back to 1950, Chevy. You can keep your Traverse, I’m more than happy with my brand new CX-​9, thank you very little.

Skip this place. Got a guarantee that they would be any competitors price on a new Chevy Cruze. They didn’t believe I got a lower price & got an attitude with me for actually getting another quote. I went to the dealer in Derry.
Also, there dealer doc fees are the highest around.

Absolutely terrible service. Took advantage of my girlfriend numerous times with her warranty and just Mickey mousing repairs. She has three children in the car which whos safey is at stake. They refuse to honor recalls made my Chevy on a vehicle which they sold.
When asked to speak to the «manager» he had nothing to say about anything what ever happened to customer service?
I would not recommend anyone to go here for any reason.

Took my SUV in on a Tuesday afternoon fore two new tires, an oil change, and an alignment. With an empty waiting room, it took four hours to do this service. No explanation. No apology. The service staff is condescending. No one seems appreciative for your business.

Unfortunately my experience at Quirk represented the stereotypical car dealership systemically flawed way to do business. I was looking for a car as a present for my Mom on her 70^th birthday. I knew exactly what I wanted so no need to see or test drive the vehicle. My initial contact was in response to an online offer from Quirk for a discounted Traverse. I inquired about the ad and received a prompt response from Chris the initial sales associate. We went back and forth a few times on features and price and finally agreed upon 43k for a specific LTZ model they had in stock including a few dealer-​installed accessories that I requested. After negotiating the price I was ready for payment and presented the information to receive the allowable $ 1,500 towards the purchase price that I had on my GM Credit Card. In this process I was passed off to Doug, the sales manager to close the deal.
This is where the games begin. «The offer Chris gave you didn’t include the accessories you are asking for and the final price includes the credit you are receiving for the $ 1,500 worth of GM Credit Card points» (even though at the time he gave me that price he didn’t know I had GM Card points). I went so far as to call him back on another phone so that I could play him the message from Chris in my voice mail where he clearly said «$ 43,000 with everything that you are looking for included» (which I had previously sent via Email). Doug the sales manager says well we can’t do that price this is what I can do now. To make a long story short we renegotiated the agreed upon price and I used my GM points as a down payment. Told him someone would drop off a bank check for the balance on a specific day and they said they would be ready. They were not. They had not done anything to process the deal or prep the car. I had family waiting in another location so we could present the car to my mom. I waited almost 3 hours for them to get the car and title ready even though I had called earlier that morning and told them I was coming and to have the car ready because I didn’t have much time. This time they sent the finance manager to talk to me. He thought it was unreasonable for me to assume they would be ready because many people say they are going to buy a car and then back out. Both he and Doug were very condescending throughout the process. I confess I got a little angry at this point which seemed to provide entertainment for the other sales associates.
Ironically there was another sales associate that talked to us on the day we walked in the door to pick up the car who apparently thought that he was going to receive the commission on the sale. He knew we had a bad experience and begged us to give him good reviews on the Chevy website so that he could make rent in his new apartment. I’m not sure what that was about but GM must have some kind of incentive program for sales associates who get good reviews. I probably should have walked but in the end I bought the car. Over the years my family has bought over a dozen cars from Quirk in Quincy and now in Manchester. After this experience I will not go back and would not recommend buying a car at Quirk to my friends. It is the classic negotiate, agree, move to the next level, deny and renegotiate pattern. Nobody takes responsibility for their actions and as you move up the chain they deny the validity of what their co-​workers have committed too. I should not walk away from a $ 43,000 + purchase feeling like I was taken advantage of.
