Lee Wright is absolutely the best! I have curly hair, which is a challenge for many stylists. It’s much harder to cut right than straight hair. Lee nails it every single time. Add to that, I am at the age where I have a weird mix of blonde, brown and gray going on, so coloring can be a challenge, as well. Not only does he do an amazing job, but he’s able to work it so that it lasts 3 months before I have to go back. I don’t make a lot of money, so having my hair done by someone so talented is a major splurge for me. There’s no way I could afford to go every 6 weeks. And, Lee treats me no differently than he would one of his celebrity clients. He, and the entire staff, have always been kind, funny and helpful. I will never, ever go anywhere else. Client for life!

Because of my career as a host, on-​air personality, lifestyle expert & beauty editor, I’ve been extraordinarily lucky to experience the crème de la crème of hair salons, from coast to coast. The service and talent that Style House Salon offers the city of Nashville is no doubt among the highest quality I’ve been fortunate to come across. The skills are ridiculous, and the people and atmosphere are awe-​inspiring. Big kudos to the lovely Lee and his team for creating such a warm, creative home for hair in Music City. It’s a must go-​to when I find myself there, and I’ll definitely be back soon!

I confess, I don’t do Unilocal reviews as often as I should. But my first visit to Style House Salon was such a special experience that I knew I had to set aside a few minutes to share it with you.
I just moved to town from Los Angeles (I know… I’m sorry), and was dreading finding a new stylist. I had a fantastic salon in Beverly Hills that I was very happy with for years, and didn’t think I’d ever be able to find something comparable in Nashville. Boy, I could not have been more wrong.
I called over to Style House and talked to the friendliest, most accommodating young woman at the front desk, and she was able to find a rare opening on owner/​senior stylist Lee Wright’s schedule just days later. What a lucky break for me!
I showed up at 10 am sharp for my Saturday appointment and the charming and sweet Lee gave me a warm welcome and introduction to SHS. He gave me a mini-​tour of the salon and then sat me down and we talked about what I liked and what I didn’t, things I thought worked and didn’t, and he made some very thoughtful suggestions. I could tell he genuinely cared, and that put me at ease.
Then: combs combed, scissors snipped, trimmers buzzed… and it was all over. I can’t tell you what he did exactly — but I can tell you from experience with top-​tier talent that Lee’s as brilliant a stylist as I’ve ever come across. It’s the best haircut I’ve ever gotten. Bar none.
Obviously I’ve only spent a little over an hour at Style House. But it was very apparent from first contact that it’s a group of friendly, caring, talented people whose passions lie in making people look their best.
My nutshell takeaway? This place is a world-​class salon hidden right there on unassuming Belmont Blvd. I feel really grateful that I found my new hair home on my first try — and I highly, highly recommend that you give Lee & Co. a shot at making you feel beautiful.

I walked in last summer with a head full of blondish highlights dying to be platinum blonde. I hadn’t been able to find anyone who said they could do it. But Holly Osborne did some kind of hair magic and made me as platinum as they come. The best part? She didn’t fry my hair!
I have people ask me all the time if my hair color is my natural color because it looks so good, which is the best feeling.

Style house salon is a beautiful salon and you can tell everyone takes a ton of pride in their work! As soon as I walked in everyone was extremely friendly. It’s an awesome place for girls and guys. Has good jams playing and the chairs are real comfortable. Holly O gave the best cut, almost too good, I have to carry a swatter around now just to keep all the girls away. Also she gave the most solid head massage! Man it was gooood! I was feeling great all day. I highly recommend Style House Salon!

I visited Style House Salon after my friend (with gorgeous hair) recommended it. I had become so frustrated with «high dollar» bad haircuts and salons that feel like a factory. I would go to a «fancy» salon in search of a stylist who would help me determine the best cut for my hair type & face just to get the same ol’ «whatever you want». I thought I would get the help of an experienced professional, that’s why I asked.
Lee Wright did just that. He held up my ghastly uneven locks, from the previous haircut, and said, «let’s figure out what works best for you». He took time to learn what I liked, my lifestyle needs (I work in an OR and wear a hat all day at work, but like to dress it up for social activities) and how my hair typically «acts». He was helpful and honest in helping me decide what would look the best for me. He gave me a fabulous haircut that continues to look good as it grows.
I now take my daughter to Style House. She has naturally curly hair, complete opposite of mine! Holly is fabulous with her and gives her a wonderful cut every time.
Just a bonus. They have the BEST shampoo sinks with neck support. So comfortable and so much better that the typical «I think my neck is broken» sinks everywhere else I’ve been.

My favorite salon, hands down. I’ve been to other salons over the years but the combination of good stylists and fun vibe emanating through there is the best! Everyone is vey friendly and accommodating to what you want or excellent at giving you a great cut if you’re unsure of what you’re looking for. They have a rotating art show combined with great décor that makes each visit unique! I’d refer anyone looking for a good salon and it would be hard pressed to find a combo of experience and friendliness anywhere in Nashville!

Love this place! There was a deal on style blueprint and at the time I was in a bit of a «hair rut» so I bought one and thought oh well what do I have to lose?! When I walked in I was told I would be seeing Lex Moore for my color and cut. Of course not knowing anything about Lex, I was a little nervous.
Lex was so nice and calmed my nerves instantly. We talked about my hair and what I liked and didn’t like and he helped me decide what I wanted to do with my hair. I ALWAYS walk out of the salon feeling amazing about my hair. He is so good at color and it lasts longer than any other color I’ve ever had on my hair. And when it grows out it looks natural, which I love. I love the way he cuts my hair too, it’s always easy to do on my own and I feel confident when styling it on my own because the cut is so good.
I would definitely recommend anyone who is looking for a new spot to try out style house salon and ask for Lex! You won’t be disappointed. I look forward to my hair appointments! Lex is so talented and it helps that he is so fun and easy to talk to– you really can’t go wrong! :)

My search for a new salon continues. I really wanted to love this place and after a good consultation with one of the stylists I had a good feeling. Booked the appt and was super excited. Showed up for my appt and all was going well. So I thought. My base color only (which is what I wanted due to cost) took almost 3 hours which was kinda crazy to me. I was going for an eventual lightening up of what I had I just hated the color that I had but insisted I didn’t want to go darker and was assured in my consult we could change my color without going darker– WRONG. when rinsed my hair was sooo dark and ugly mud brown. After a shotty blowout that didn’t even last the evening I paid for my service and was informed it was $ 175. What the what?! For base color only??! I was the informed that I got a special «gloss» treatment (costing an additional $ 45 I was never informed of not consented to) and that was part of the reason for the higher cost. I’m not sure when I would’ve gotten this treatment since all I got was the color and never anything additional and also my hair looked in the exact same condition as before. So… Yeah there’s that. A few days after this I called to speak with my stylist because I was pretty unhappy with my color and I wanted to discuss it with her and her first response was «I did what you told me to!» along with some hostility about my concerns, despite the fact that I was apologetic about not loving it and just wanted advice. All in all I’m pretty upset and hate that I wasted almost $ 200 on this place.

Love Lee and his staff, he does a phenomenal job with my hi-​lights and keeping my hair healthy through all the processing.

I don’t frequently write reviews, but I had such a wonderful experience that I feel I need to share. I am very, very particular about my hair, and just had the best color experience I’ve ever had with Hannah Goble at Style House. She understood exactly what I wanted and what would look good with my skin tone in terms of color. I went in for balayage and walked out with a perfectly toned, styled, balayage that complements my skin tone/​eye color, etc. I have got nothing but compliments since my appointment. So, so happy I went! Best color I’ve had in over 8 years. Highly recommend!!!

This salon is a hidden gem on Belmont Ave. Tucked behind a (not super cute looking) day spa, Style House is totally worth searching for. On a recommendation from a friend I saw owner Lee Wright for color and a cut. Before I start raving, you have to understand what an obsessive freak I am about who does my hair. I’ve been everywhere from Oribe in Miami to Sally Hershberger in LA and even Parlor & Juke here in Nashville. No contest…
The hair I left Style House with is the hair I’ve been looking for all my life. Lee translated my cryptic sentences and indecipherable hand gestures perfectly. He took me from a dark brunette to a medium-​auburn with copper highlights — exactly what I envisioned… not sure any other stylist has ever been able to do that. The cut was great too — he fixed my bangs, added layers and blew my hair out with delicious smelling Shu Uemura products. He’s pricey in a you-​get-​what-​you-​pay-​for sort of way. The whole thing cost me about $ 300, but those prices are right in line with what you’d pay at any upscale salon, maybe even a tad lower.
And one more thing… Lee is the hair stylist responsible for the sexy locks Miranda Lambert boasted on Rolling Stone’s June 2014 cover — he did her color and cut 12-​hours earlier — so if you’re a blonde (or want to be) even more reason to make an appointment.
They’ve even got a parking lot, so bonus! No paying for parking. Of course with your gorgeous new do, you’ll have people lining up to drive you around gratis. ;)
