The 800 Method was founded as a standardized test tutoring company. We have broadened the company to tutoring school subjects such as math and reading, as well as providing homework and organizational help. We specialize in ADHD tutoring, and we also have experience with learning disabled students. We also offer Skype tutoring to students with busy schedules or students who don’t live in the area.

The 800 Method was started by a Bryn Mawr College graduate and an alum of The Loomis Chaffee School who suffered through years of boring, and sometimes unfocused, tutors, and thereafter sought to revolutionize the way testing is taught. After more than eight years of tutoring and a perfect 800 SAT Math score, Sophia honed her own method, shaped by teaching toddlers through high school seniors. Her experience teaching children with developmental disabilities and attention deficit disorders helped create techniques that are simplified to the core of needed knowledge and interesting and quick enough to hold focus.
