I enjoyed this place but unfortunately it’s closed and something else is opening up.

Cool, complete Colombian menu. A neighborhood place that hits the right notes of authenticity and price.

The food is great but the service sucks!!! They take at least 15 min To take your order it’s horrible. Oh and if your lucky they give you bread. The worst thing is that they walk right by pass you like you don’t even exist and it’s not like they are full !!

On a recent trip to NYC, we tried this spot based on reading Unilocal reviews. Everything was terrific and super flavorful. Roasted chicken, plantains rice and beans were delicious. Everyone working there could not have been nicer too. Low key and casual. Try the mojitos. Overall an easy, pleasant experience and great food.

Business Closed for Good. Went 11÷20÷12, windows were newspapered up with letter saying went out of business. Sad as I loved this place…

The night begins with Mister Man getting off work late and craving meat. The two of us ventured into Hell’s kitchen, and the sight of chicken steaming and rotating in circles totally made us horny… I mean, hungry. We ordered the Half Chicken, which came with rice, pinto beans, appetizer salad, chicharones, fries, plantains for only $ 12! Everytime the waitress came back, I was a little scared she was going to bring more food because I was stuffed! Also I have to give props to our waitress; she was so sweet, our water cups were never empty, and our plates were cleared before we even finished chewing. Before you leave, be sure to ask for hot sauce and the green sauce to go! Fun date place that won’t break the boy’s(or girl’s, yes gender-equality) wallet

We went here on a double date gone awry(we meant to go to a different restaurant but it was closed for a private party). I am glad our plans got messed up. We ordered a platter with an entire chicken that also came with salad and potatoes. Then we ordered a dish that came with a ton of other random pieces of chicken and meat. The whole chicken was the better deal. And delicious — perfectly juicy and the right amount of crispy. The potatoes were just potatoes and forgettable. The four of us shared just those two platters and it was enough food. We briefly debated ordering empanadas but decided against it once we had digested a bit. This place on the inside looks like a bit of a dive but the food is all you would hope for so don’t pass this spot by!

One of my favorite restaurants in Hell’s kitchen! Large amount of food, delicious pork skin, perfectly cooked beans and passion fruit drink. I wanted to eat lunch here DAILY! This place is amazing, i loved it. Service was fast and friendly. The inside is well kept, clean and simple, not old and tiny like most restaurants in hell’s kitchen. Amazing food, do yourself a favor and stop in for the country platter — bring your appetite!

More like a 3.5 than a 4 but I am willing to round up. Pollo a la Brasa: Skin was crispy and had good seasoning, meat was moist, but the seasoning didn’t seem to permeate the white meat like it does at some other places. Sauces seem to be a bit too oily, and not flavorful enough. Chicharones: Fried, crispy and still moist on the inside. This is what made me round my review up to 4 stars. It’s actually a good place with great prices, we ordered the large plates and ate them family style. Our bill, including drinks was around $ 50.

Great find while wandering about! Bf and I both got the chicken, figured we would try what the joint specializes in. Chicken was flavorful and moist and came with a salad, rice & beans, and plantains(we got tostones vs. maduros). For some reason, my side of rice & beans was extremely sparse, like they just dumped whatever was left onto my plate. Bf’s portion was at least double mine(just as well, since I watch what I eat anyway). We were really happy with our past-10 pm dinner. Service was semi-slow and though the few people helping us were polite, they were not exactly«friendly.» Maybe this Nutmegger has lived in Atlanta too long and has come to expect Southern hospitality(as hypocritical and fake as it may be) from service businesses.

Good for a cheap dinner to fill up on. whole chicken, 2 sides — under 20 bucks for two. The bread was stale, awful. The skin on the chicken had all the flavor, but the meat itself not so much. Was tender and juicy enough but this is no flavor like Piopio– though this is half the cost. Plantains were good with the rice. Mix in the cilantro sauce to add flavor to the rice… green sauce too but that is super hot. Good to try, nice people, but not chicken I would return for.

Ordered the chicken dish, for one, but it fed two of us… will…I mean, well. The chicken came with a sides galore, plaintains, fries, salad, rice, beans, there might have been an actual chicken to accompany the chicken we ordered. Thanksgiving in spring! I really liked the quiet, date experience we had at the end of the restaurant, the waitress was attentive up until the time we left. Great place to try.

This is one of those places you try really hard to like, but the food just does not measure up to the reviews here. One problem you get with restaurants in this area is what I will from henceforth dub the«Theater Crowd Effect.» The Theater Crowd Effect is when mediocre restaurants near central midtown get inflated reviews because tourists who don’t know what they are talking about eat there. Farmers is one of those cases. For a restaurant named after its chicken, there wasn’t much flavor in the chicken itself. Some may contest«but its so cheap!» Indeed, I got a ¼ chicken, salad, a large portion of rice and beans, and a soda for only $ 9, but that isn’t a reason to eat something. You can get better chicken at almost similar cut-rate prices near here at Inti, Lali, or Peter’s Since 1969. The sauces on the side were good, but it doesn’t make up for poor execution of their signature dish.

Ordered two half chicken with rice and beans from there. Unfortunately my chicken wasn’t cooked well done in some areas. =( One half chicken is definitely enough for two ppl but i probably won’t be back because i prefer my food well done

Simply put… It’s good stuff!!! you want some homemade and not processed food… go here! I have visited during the day. Not sure how it is at night but the place would be great for groups and or couples. Fun, heart warming food. Can’t go wrong! They should change the name. I just think it deserves a better method of being known for its yummy food. If i can skip from work for a least an hour and then take a siesta I’ll go during work if not I may have to head over after work for dinner :)

Thanks to Unilocal my travel buddy and I found this great joint for some filing and not too expensive eats. Seriously, $ 12 for a roll, dinner salad, half a chicken, plantains, beans and rice?! I can’t eat for that price in Seattle that’s for sure! Oh and for $ 2 more you can get a whole chicken! Everything was very good… salad was nice and just came with oil and vinegar but I heard a guy at another table ask for ranch and they brought it, the chicken wasn’t as moist as I thought it would be but great all the same. I couldn’t get over the great rice and beans, right amount of salt made them perfect and the plantains were out of this world, but I am a plantain lover. Place was pretty small but we were able to sit right down. Our server was attentive, quick and friendly as I found most restaurants to be in NYC. A+++ and one more +

I’ve only tried the chicken — but it was superb. For $ 12, you get a ½ chicken, a good, fresh side salad and a whole plate of rice and beans… They deliver too!

I had some of the most delicious rotisserie chicken I have ever had in my life here tonight! It was just melting off the bone, so tender and tasty. We also had chiccarones and rice and beans and potato — none of this stuff is fancy or fluffed up in any way, it’s all super basic. But you’ll be hard pressed to find better«basics» than this. Their sauces are so yummy too. Flan was great! Good all round. I would definitely want to come back! Very satisfying meal.

Holy shit! The chicken here is amazing. So good, in fact, that it pisses me off… It’s better than when I make rotisserie chicken at home… The same recipe my Mom taught me… That her Mom taught her… Better than any I’ve had at well known, world renowned french restaurants… And it’s affordable. Lunch costs me $ 12 after a drink and tip. I dig this place, I will eat here, a lot. But it still pisses me off that they make a better roasted bird than 3 generations of my family.

I ended up having dinner here while looking for a quick place to grab a bit before a show. I was so happy I did!!! I agree with Denise and Spencer, though. I’ve also passed by this place numerous times and would have never expected the great food/service I got from the outside looks or the name of the restaurant. Luckily, they had a menu outside and I was impressed at the great prices they offered especially for this area. This is on the same level as those Colombian restaurants on Roosevelt Avenue in Queens, and trust me, I’ve tried a lof of those! just good, authentic food, in generous portions for a great price! I had the ½ chicken with a big side of rice and beans and salad for $ 9. GREATVALUE! I had so much leftovers. My friends got the bistec a la criolla(super juicy steak with a rich, yummy sauce cooked with tomatoes, onions, peppers) and a bistec encebollado(skirt steak with onions)…both were delish! They were playing the 93.1 romantic spanish radio station on the background, which was playing a lot of songs by Colombian artists, which added more to the Colombian restaurant feeling… I will DEFINITELY go back when I’m in the area. We were done with dinner in about 45 minutes because we had to catch a show, but would love to try other dishes.
