So I was vacationing in New York City and while there, my children decided to make a huge mess with some glue and it got all over the area rug in our hotel room. I was panicking as I didn’t want to pay hundreds of dollars to the hotel for the mishap.
I quickly asked around and decided on Soho Rug Cleaners due to multiple recommendations. I was beyond impressed as they arrived in time, were thorough and friendly. Also their rates were far cheaper than what the hotel would of charged me.

While pleasant on the phone, they failed to show up and didn’t honor the Living social agreement as to the area of coverage (which I had confirmed prior to purchasing the deal .) Despite their claims to have called me to let me know they wouldn’t honor the deal, months after the purchase, I have no records of a call or a message. I wasted half my day waiting for them to show up. While I cannot make any claims as to their expertise, I would be reluctant to deal with them as to their commitment to service.

Total scam, should have checked here first. I bought a Living Social deal and it took forever to book. On the appointment date, the guy goes to the wrong location. When I call the office to get to the bottom of it, he screams at me for giving him the wrong address, even though the address he claims he was provided doesn’t exist in the zip code given. Seriously, its the internet age, check your addresses on Google Maps.
Anyway, the guy finally arrives an hour late. He takes one look at the rug and tells me it can’t be steam cleaned and has to be shampooed at extra cost. I know this is crap because I had it steam cleaned a while back. Anyway, they refuse to clean it unless I shampoo at extra cost, so I declined and will ask Living Social for a refund.
Unless you feel like getting ripped off, I would avoid this service at all costs.

Don’t ever do business with this Company! Hard enough to reach them in the first place. They could not get my carpet cleaned and it took 6 months for them to return the carpet back to me (still not cleaned) because they had the «wrong phone number.» Whenever I called the company, I got the voice mail. I am still waiting on my refund and have taken it up with the credit card company. I don’t know how they are in business honestly!!! I never write Unilocal reviews. I just had to share this horrible experience.

These guys run a sketchy business. I bought a $ 49 voucher on Living Social that was supposed to give me $ 99 toward a rug cleaning. They would only agree to give me the basic $ 49 that I paid off. (The living social thing is basically a scam. They come to your house after you buy it and tell you that you need way more than the basic cleaning. I ended up spending an extra $ 140.) On top of that they said that my rug would be ready in 7 – 10 business days. After over 10 calls I finally got it back 58 DAYS LATER! They still refused to give me the partial refund that I asked about originally. Go somewhere else!
