I used Solid Movers to move a couch from midtown East to Astoria. Great experience. It was very easy to communicate with them (email and phone call), they were on time, well prepared (with protection and screwdriver to disconnect the legs). 3 movers came although I only asked for 3. They brought the couch to my place, put the legs together and the whole thing was easy.
Price was reasonable too, not surprise, flat rate as they quoted.

We did not move very far but it would have been near impossible to move without the help. We had two movers which was perfect for the size of our apartment. They showed up right on time and were able to wrap all of our furniture and other assorted items prone to being scratched damaged. Our couch is quite large and barely fit through the doorway but we were still able to get it into the apartment without any damage to it.
The whole move took 4 hours in total with two guys. The apartment we moved out of was a two bedroom and the one we were moving into is of similar size and everything was able to fit in one truckload.

Amazing movers! I used them twice this year and they are super fast and super professional. They moved me out of my apartment yesterday and moved my belongings all the way to PA where I am relocating. I highly recommend them for your moving needs! These guys were great, I needed them last minute and they were able to squeeze me in! When they got there, they packaged my things and moved everything with care. Everyone was super helpful and friendly! Honestly they are everything you could ask for in a moving company! Would 100% again next time I move.

My moving experience was amazing and smooth. I was very anxious with the move but Peter and his team did a fantastic job and took the stress of it. I have a few valuable pieces that’s were past down from my grandmother and I was a bit demanding and psychotic about them. He was very professional, punctual, and so careful with everything, I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

Awesome movers! They were very professional they got the job done quick and carefully. They were actually recommended to me by another awesome moving company that moved me into my house. I wasn’t moving as many things this time. They are very hardworking the 5 flights and the beaming heat didn’t stop them from getting the job done everything went smoothly and believe me moving in NYC is a nightmare. They are definitely reliable and worth the call!

I was referred to Solid Movers by a good friend who use them in the past. They’re a new company started by a veteran of the Coast Guard. These guys are all very professional, hard working and super friendly. The movers did a great job in packing my stuff and they were very careful with my personal belongings. Thanks Solid Movers!

I absolutely hate moving! These guys where suggested by a friend, after I was in a situation that I found out that I have to move immediately. They made the move easy going and and affordable. Probably the best moving company that I have ever used and were very accommodating on such a short notice. 10⁄10 will use a again.

These guys are the best movers in NYC. I’ve used a lot of different companies because I’ve moved around a lot in the last few years. After a while I’d just hire my friends because of the bad experiences. But these guys were different. They were very professional, friendly and hardworking. Maybe it had to do with the fact that the owner served our great country. They moved me from Queens to the Bronx. They went down one flight into a ground floor building in this heat and kept high spirits throughout. Thanks to Pete and his crew as well as the woman who booked my job over the phone (can’t remember her name). But she was very organized and helpful. Solid guys, solid job. Solid Movers! I had to move pretty unexpectedly and found myself stressed by the thought of figuring out how to get my furniture moved across the city. Thankfully Solid Movers made it pretty easy because they knew what they were doing. After a phone call and quick pricing, they showed up right outside my apartment on the morning I needed them and were ready to start. You could definitely tell that it was not their first time figuring out how to get a sofa up a stairwell or reassembling an Ikea bed. They basically had a system down for everything. They were really nice/​funny and did the quality job they said they would.
